The staff was friendly, helpful, and were able to work with our mixed Spanish/English. When there was a problem with our first room they were helpful in offering many other options. Free breakfast was so nice! We got to know the ladies there and they were very good to us. The location was in the Candelaria, the vibrant heart of Bogota. Narrow streets, shops, fantastic restaurants, Museums, beautiful colonial architecture. We walked everywhere with the occasional Uber for longer distances. The hotel is quaint, like a boutique, with a lot of character. You will need to be able bodied as most of the rooms involve steps to the loft that is more like a ladder – very steep. We found it charming. The water is potable from the tap – which is super nice! The value equation was great and we would stay here again and recommend it to friends!

This is in the heart of a big city. The noise (mainly music) at night was significant. I’m a longtime traveler and have ways to deal with it but if you are expecting a quiet night of sleep each night, this may not be the place. It may have been an especially busy party week but I suspect noise is common there. The facilities are not five star, they could be described as a bit tired. We had a leak in the roof of our first room. Water was dripping on my pillow. But they accommodated a room switch and the next room was fine. There is no heat or AC that we could discern. This was not a problem as the weather was temperate while we were there but it is something to note.

The location is unbeatable - within 20 minutes walk of anything in the Historic District. The staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is a charming old house with character, full of bizarre and entertaining objects collected (without any apparent consistency) by the original owner. There are several large common rooms with windows and comfortable chair that are ideal places to work or read, and the internet is fast. The breakfast - coffee, fresh fruit, eggs, white toast - is simple but sustaining.

The room assigned to me on arrival was small for a double, didn't lock properly, and had no hot water, but when I complained the staff moved me without protest to a better room (though without a window - many of their rooms don't have one.)There is no elevator.

The location in La Candelaria is very good. It is a short walk to most anything, such as the Botero and Gold museums and perhaps 20-25 minutes to Monserrate and La Quinta de Bolivar (recommended). The breakfast was served in a funky patio setting by nice staff and while not exceptional, it was good, as was the coffee. The hotel is very secure. This hotel has many guest sitting areas outside of the rooms that are full of different furniture, art and antiques. Just up the hill are the very funky areas of La Candelaria, including Plaza de la Concordia which is a great spot for a meal, gifts or fresh fruit. Restaurants of every kind and price range are very close by. I enjoyed an authentic little spot called restaurant Hibiscus for menu del dia.

An absolutely lovely, quirky place, with really cute interior and courtyard. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast even if simple (eggs, toast and a few small pieces of fruit) was very tasty. It’s typical for older Colombian houses in that all the rooms have doors/windows only to the inside corridors or courtyards. Perfect location.

The bathroom toilet had zero privacy, sight, sound and smell. The toilet opened directly into the room and had a sliding door that woke the gods with the noise it made. The sliding door was far too narrow for the space so the person on the toilet was in full view of the beds with all the joy that brings. We checked out the other rooms and some had the shower directly in the room and the toilet behind a wall but for the rest also completely open to the room. Some seemed to have a more normal door. Motto - only stay here if you feel very comfortable sharing your toilet activities fully with your roommate or contact the property directly to make sure you have a room with a bathroom that has a proper door.

The colonial interior looks like a museum. 2-floor apartments within an impressive condominium with several decorated hallways, living rooms ad patio richly decorated in old times. Very pleasant and helpful employees. In the middle of Bogotá's historic centre: the Botero Museum and central Bolivar Square are within 100 metres. At night it is relatively calm. The breakfast experience at the bakery next door brings you in contact with the normal Colombian able to choose from 4 meal.s

Having breakfast in the backyard/patio would even ave been better!

The service was excellent. Daniel help us calling to the restaurant and making a reservation for us. All the staff was very friendly, helpful, attentive. They made us feel comfortable and like we were home. The last night there, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, what a gentleman!!! Once he knew I was from PR he played a very special puertorrican piece for me that almost made me cry. I'll recommend this place for every person who want to feel really comfortable and who appreciate arts and music. Eyder Patiño; Now you have a couple of friends here in Puerto Rico!! Our room was very cool - it had a ground floor area for the bathroom and living area, then a spiral staircase up to a mezzanine level with a double bed. There were also lots of extra toilets down the corridor in case you didn’t want to use the one in your room. (I asked for a family member, and I think other downstairs rooms do have step-free access). There were many beautiful communal areas to sit, including a very pretty patio with tables, and several indoor seating areas too. The staff were so friendly and gave us lots of great tips on things to do nearby. We would definitely stay again.

Breakfast is next door at a cafe, and they didn’t have many any options for vegans, and weren’t able to adapt existing dishes. Which is a shame because there are so many vegan restaurants nearby (e.g. Marvolous Vegan had great, very cheap breakfast). But if you eat meat and eggs then there was plenty of choice, and the staff there were still very friendly.

Beautiful hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is decorated with lots of antiques and artwork, for a funky, artistic vibe. Our room was a really good price - it was small, and only had a window over the door, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The room included an upstairs sitting area accessed by a ladder, but we enjoyed hanging out in the common areas of the hotel - they are decorated beautifully and there are lots of different options (living room, courtyard, music room). The breakfast included with the room was provided at the café next door, and there were several options. The hotel is located conveniently to museums, restaurants, and tourist sites, and hotel staff gave good recommendations for places to go out for meals or drinks. The streets were surprisingly surprisingly quiet at night.

The piano needs tuning and the guitar didn't have good strings. :)

The hotel is like a museum. The building is about 200 years old and the furniture is antique and quirky. The rooms are so diverse. We were offered a room with very steep steps up to the bed, we asked for another room and were given one without stairs. The bed was very comfortable and the room cosy. The water was hot. We were at the back of the hotel overlooking its own courtyard. It was very peaceful. There were wooden shutters on the window so dark too. The included breakfast was right next door to the hotel. A very busy bakery and cafe. Good choice of food. Colombian soup, breads, eggs and coffee. We wanted to go out to dinner but the lovely man on reception said it was dangerous to walk around at night, so we ran to an Italian restaurant about 100 yards away, had the worst carbonara ever and then ran back. We were a bit scared, but during the day it felt very safe, and there is so much to see in the Candelaria. The art museums are fantastic and some are free. We loved our stay in Bogota. The staff were lovely and helpful.

The fact it was too dangerous to walk around at night, but this is pretty common in all large towns in Colombia.

The hotel is very well located, just around the corner from the museum Botero in La Candelaria neighborhood. The staff is very helpful and nice. The hotel is in a colonial house and all decorated in that style. It's beautiful.

The room didn't have a window, the doors are glass doors that I overlooked the patio.
