The bedroom is very spacious and beautiful - the double bed is huge and very comfortable. The staff was kind and the breakfast was very good, even though it was a prepared dish - very repetitive if you stay there for many days. Good laundry service and lovely construction.

We arrived earlier than the check-in time and even though there were many empty rooms, they made us wait until the check-in time (long night flight, many connections, airport sleep, we were dead and had to wait more than 3h in the reception, which was very unpleasant because of the high temperature there in summer). The parking is not really a parking - there are 2 spots and one of them is basically inaccessible - if the spot is taken, you have to park outside and pay irregularly - very bad. Besides, far from the city center and the old town. The room was in the front of the hotel and it was very noisy at night - busy street.

The location, friendly personnel, cleanness of the entire hotel, big room.

Wifi was bad inside the room, too much noise from the outside because our room was facing the avenue. They asked me to pay in cash so i had to go and find an ATM to get cash.

The Baluarte is a fairly small (boutique style) hotel in a prime Boca Grande location. With its self appointed 4 stars it may raise wrong expectations. Give it 2-3 stars and consider it a budget option and you will be happy. The personnel is very friendly. Most of the rooms go to the interior and are very quiet. Avoid the few rooms facing the street - very noisy. Rooms come with old yet well maintained furniture, new and well working AC and everything you need and expect in this category. Just a minibar does not exist (although they pretend to have it in booking.com). Instead you will find an empty prehistoric fridge, constantly making noise and for me a reason to give 8 instead of 9 points. The Internet has been upgraded lately and works very stable and with sufficient speed. Breakfast is served on a plate, yet okay for Colombia.

At this rate and in this category nothing to complain about...

The room was a little smaller than a typical hotel room but yet spacious in how it was designed for maximum use and enjoyment of that space. The on-site restaurant was phenomenal and served some of the best food I've ever tasted in my life. Experiencing their "secret" recipe iced tea and Mixta Carne Hamburguesa are worth the price of the plane ticket alone!! Delicious, varied and authentic breakfasts are included in the room price.It was a great place to meet and connect with locals like an incredible artist that paints beautiful murals, hats, bags, etc. A block away from the beach.

Towels were threadbare and stained. Wi-fi was terrible and basically non-existent. No A/C in any of the common areas as the property has an open concept design with a courtyard (that part was nice). Better speak Spanish or have a translation app on your phone and ready to use!! The in-room safe didn't work but I still felt safe leaving any valuables properly secured in my room. Room key was quirky in how it was to be used to unlock the room door.

The location was great and the place was very clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel has its own restaurant.

The internet connection was really bad and unstable in our room (3rd floor). We were only able to access WiFi in the reception or in the restaurant. Breakfast the first day wasn't great, which was actually made up for the next day with a brilliant meal.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, the rooms were quiet and comfortable with air-conditioning and the breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. I highly recommend this hotel if you want some peace and quiet to sleep at night. The rooftop area is also a great spot to relax at the end of the day.

The only complaint was that the wifi only works sometimes in the room. But it was fine in the lobby or restaurant.

The price was fair, and the beds were very comfortable . It is also in a great location near good restaurants

Rooms smelled a bit moldy, and the hot tubs were dirty

They prepared the room as expected, with 3 beds for 3 people. Bonus: the room had two complete bathrooms We had a health situation (choke) in the restaurant and the waiter could help immediately. Thanks very much. Breakfast was very good (included) and the restaurant was comfortable with AC room or outdoor terrace to choose. Location was excellent, few blocks from both Bocagrande and Castillogrande beaches and shopping around the corner.

At our arrival, there was no help for the 3 adults +65 to take the luggage to the second floor, The second day the room service knock the door to clean the room at around 4 pm when we were already back. There were no flat sheets in the queen and king beds, just fitted sheet and duvet cover.

Clean and spacious room, nicely located with great staff.

We had to ask for towels as they were not already provided in the room. I found this pretty unusual for a hotel. Besides, they only gave us 2 towels (one for my friend and I).

Staff was friendly and helpful.. breakfast was good. Air conditioning and television and small refrigerator in room all good. Close to beach. Plenty of room for single person.

Safe deposit box did not work. Did not supply receipt. Not sure why no towels (I didn't ask since I had my own).
