Lovely location. Nice view. Very attentive and accommodating staff. Large, clean modern rooms. Quiet. Connected to a larger hotel for easy access to a wider array of facilities.

We picked the duplex at first because of the bigger size and separation of children’s and parents areas and additional bathroom. However it was in the basement with frosted windows. I would avoid this room. The hotel quickly accommodated our request and moved us to an equivalent above-ground room that accommodated all for of our family members. All of the food and pool facilities were at the Sofitel about 50 metres away. It was a short walk and well worth it (the pool and food options were impeccable) but we had hoped for these facilities to be on site.

Air conditioning not strong enough to counteract the heat of the roof. I suggest they place another air conditioning on the second floor as the central air does not cool it enough. My baby was hot and sweaty and so were we.

Bóvedas was a very nice place to stay during my time in Cartagena. In addition to being a waterfront property, the location was super convenient for getting around. You can access anywhere in the walled city quickly, or walk over to Getsemaní in about 10 minutes. It was also GREAT that I had access to the amenities at Sofitel Santa Clara, including the full breakfast buffet, pool, and spa. I had an awesome facial at the spa. The staff were always friendly and attentive. Bóvedas is a great option if you don’t necessarily need the most deluxe room possible but would otherwise like a five-star experience through accessing the amenities at the Sofitel.

Our room was very spacious, quiet, light and very well appointed. Having access to all of the Santa Clara facilities was wonderful. Beautiful pool area that always had plenty of shaded areas to relax in. The pool attendants were very attentive, and always willing to help with fresh towels, moving umbrellas and preparing beds etc. Amazing breakfast buffet again with the staff very attentive and pro active.

We wanted to stay for an extra week, but we could not be accommodated. Perhaps some coffee readily available in the Bovedas lobby first thing in the morning?

This was an amazing find! Great staff service, the hotel was clean and very accommodating. The hotel is in the center of everything. All our favorite pick restaurants were within walking distance. It’s in the historical center and within the walls city. The hotel is across the street from the Bovedas. The best part was the Buffet breakfast(across the street at the Sofitel Santa Clara hotel)!!

When having breakfast one has to state that you are a guest otherwise a Street person a walking in will get a table before you.

The hostess should ask are you a guest of the hotel or a walk in....a visitor. The main hotel Santa Clara where you have breakfast does not differentiate between a guest of the hotel and a walk in a visitor.

Everything was nice and the staff at both hotels were so great and always trying to assist you.

The breakfast was at Sofitel Santa Clara and it was Another asset was that we were allowed to use pool at Santa Clara Sofitel.

The hotel was being painted during our stay but it was not a major issue.

The room was huge, amazing place. You can use the Santa Clara facilities where you have a swimming pool, spa, gym, jacuzzi, bar and more. The best in town to stay if you are with

It was wonderful to use the pool and facilities of the Santa Clara! The room was comfortable and clean and in a great location. The staff were super helpful and kind.

It was a bit pricey for the type of hotel.
