In Casa del Curato we had a very unique and exceptional experience. Very beautiful colonial building, with beautiful, authentic old interior. Very central entral, but quiet location in the historical center. Very kind and friendly people are working here, they are very important part of the experience. The attention was very personal and sincere. Our room was onto the second floor with very charming balcony above the street. The room had a very high ceiling, and you feel a lot of space. The old (as well as the house) and creaking furniture added a lot of charm. The only new thing in the room was air conditioner - very quiet and efficient. The breakfast was another beautiful experience provided by very kind women who prepared everything personally for everyone. The experience was very different than in modern hotels. For me, it was one of the best stayings at the hotel ever and very different. Big thanks to the people who helped us to feel so great at the hotel.

The property was nice, well kept and overall clean situated in ideal location in pretty much the center of all the tourist landmarks. The staff is helpful and accommodating always receiving you with a smile and willing to provide you tips that will make your stay and moving around the city easier. There are multiple restaurants around and also the main tourist landmarks making it easy to walk through the city. The rooms are cleaned daily which my wife and I really liked since you know being up and about exploring can sometimes drain you and prevent you from keeping everything well kept. Additionally the breakfast are simple, healthy and well rounded which we also enjoyed. When we visit Cartagena again we will surely stay here again.

The street noise is one to consider if you’re a light sleeper as mentioned this hotel is located in the center of the historic city. My wife and I are heavy sleepers so this wasn’t a big deal and we could manage the noise.

The hotel is in a convenient location in the old city. The room was spacious. The staff members were all friendly and helpful. The balcony was nice. Breakfast includes your choice of fruit, fruit juice (fresh), coffee, eggs (many versions, made to order), and toast. It is served quickly. AC in room was quiet and cool. The hotel is about 20 min from the airport by taxi, which was COP30-35k ($7-8) each way. The hotel is cozy and scenic.

Since the room with a balcony is on the street, there is some noise in the afternoon and evening (quiet late night and into morning). While the staff members speak some English, you're best off if you know some Spanish. The bed is firm. If you don't like hot weather, be aware that the lobby, breakfast area, courtyard, stairs, and hallway are all open air.

THE LOCATION WAS FANTASTIC. I loved their breakfast. I liked the superior room upstairs, with a balcony on the pool side. Keep in mind there were no people using the pool.

I did not like that on the second day of my stay, I was moved for one night to a standard room downstairs and then back to the superior, for the rest of my stay. That was pretty inconvenient. I wish I had been told up front, about this change.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Close to everything and in a very walkable area. Short walk to sites, restaurants and shops. As a solo traveler I felt very safe and secure. The staff was amazing and very welcoming! I loved that they offered a small breakfast each morning and tidied up my room each. It was a very charming hotel and I would stay again. Highly recommend.

There was a bad storm day 4 of my trip and the hotel lost power. All understandable, considering that the building is so old. It started to get very warm in my room. The worst part was when trying to turn the power back on the staff made lots of noise very early in the morning.

The location is excellent; close enough to walk everywhere, far enough out of the centre to get some peace and quiet, and just around the corner from two leafy squares with good bars and restaurants (and a great empanada stall). It's a beautiful, wooden house, with lush plants, and a small swimming pool (just bug enough for a cooling dip). We had a small balcony looking over the street; perfect for sun bathing in the morning, and watching the world go by in the evening.

Hot water is intermittent, but it's so hot you don't need it.

We were so impressed with the service. Jessica and Juan Manuel made us feel so welcome and at home. Gave us guidance what to do, where to go and how to be safe. The friendliness of Casa Del Curato was amazing. The location was perfect and peaxeful at the Heart of Cartagena de Indias. We titally recomend this place. Breakfast was so fresh and perfect. We are plabing another trip back and we are coming back to this Hotel. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience 🥰

Everything was great. No complaints at all

The hotel is really beautifully designed and staff were incredibly helpful in helping to arrange activities. The pool is really lovely and private. The location is absolutely fabulous - such a beautiful neighbourhood and we could walk everywhere.

The room was small - even travelling with just hand luggage for 2, it felt quite cramped (maybe the big fridge could be removed?). There was also minimal water pressure in our shower (at some point just drips).

Great location & friendly staff

Had such a wonderful stay here. Beautiful hotel right inside the walled city, within walking distance of whatever you may need and very close to multiple museums and attractions, but was very quiet still. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and went out of their way to help arrange transportation for us. Breakfast was very good and quick. Overall incredible experience and would definitely stay here again!
