The staff and location are excellent. Easy access to the building, virtually no check in / check out nonsense. Room and bath were very good size. The security personnel provided very good directions and recommendations. Housekeeping staff are excellent (and quick). There are numerous (less than 100 metres) restaurants and bars nearby. Location is central in the old city, just about everything to see and do is less than a 10 minute walk. Breakfast arrangements and location were very good. Privado met and exceeded all expectations.

A little noisy on Friday night, but one should expect this anywhere in old Cartagena.

It has an awesome decor and was clean. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are really good!

There is no fridge to keep water cold enough to drink. There is insufficient light in the bathroom. They keep music going in the corridors via speakers and it is pretty loud (you can hear inside the rooms). Breakfast is not at the property - you need to walk and there is not enough options to diversify. There is no lift and you need to carry your luggage by yourself up on the stairs.

The location of this hotel is absolutely ideal: it is in a slightly more relaxed part of town than El Centro, but easy walking distance to everything you could possibly want (excellent dining options, the walking path along the wall, less tourist-filled squares with stunning churches lining them). The staff are wonderful. The aesthetic is divine without being over-the-top. The partnership with the restaurant Cande is the icing on the cake. I would happily return!

Great location in the hisotric city. We upgraded our room and we were pleased to do so as it was stunning with a great balcony. Good aircon and beautiful old building nicely renovated.

The breakfast is in another restaurant about 500 metres away. When we arrived for breakfast we were not allowed in as we were wearing vests - note women can wear vests in the restaurant. Slightly annoying and no info about the dress code! The voucher for breakfast didn't cover the cost of our breakfast either.

Really enjoyed staying here. Almost felt like it was our own apartment. High ceilings with plenty of space unlike most hotel rooms. Great bathroom facilities and a nice big balcony you can people watch from. Even though this is considered a self service hotel, they provide you with all the information and help you need to get it done. Highly recommend!

Clean, cozy and modern boutique hotel. Staff really friendly and polite. Breakfast off premises at a great restaurant. Really close to the clock tower.

Hotel's guide is suggesting a horse carriage ride as a must thing to do in Cartagena. Horse carriage riding is a practice that shouldn't be encouraged as the horses are not well-attended and most of the times are at a very bad condition.

It was such a lovely hotel, aesthetically pleasing, staff was super friendly, location was right in the middle of everything! They also have a coffee machine that is divine!

There was nothing I didn't like.

Maria, Melissa and the rest of the staff were extremely attentive and kind, they made they stay comfortable and a very pleasant experience. The room was heart warming and beautifly setup to perfection. Everything worked as expected. Breakfast also worked very well at Candé.

It was hard to reach the hotel by car due to construction works in nearby streets. This is not their fault, but it was a bit of a handicap.

Incredibly beautiful hotel located on an amazing location that allows you to visit all Cartagena without needing a car. Beautiful and comfortable rooms and amazing staff. Also amazing breakfast at Cande!

The property is brand new, very well constructed (renovated) and perfectly located in the heart of San Diego: centrally yet in a quieter street. The room I had was windowless but large, well appointed, perfectly air conditioned and equipped with everything I needed. They have restricted client services to a necessary minimum and the (large selection of) drinks need to purchased from the vending machine which translates into tremendous value; you’d be hard press to find comparable accommodation for the same amount. The staff is very nice and helpful. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Keep in mind that Cartagena gets punishingly hot in the middle of the day so a property with a pool might be a prudent choice if you don’t like excessive heat.
