The staff are a credit to the hotel, courteous and friendly. Very professional. The gardens are very impressive with live animals and well maintained

Over reliance on single use plastic items such as salt, pepper, sauces, straws, drink stirs etc. A hotel of this calibre shouldn’t be using these. Food fairly average, expected better.

I liked the spa which has a whirlpool, Turkish steam bath, and a sauna. Hotel check in and check out were pretty easy. There is a lot of wildlife on the property, which made the stay enjoyable. There is a good variety at breakfast, and private security for the beach club. The hotel staff surprised me and left a small cake in my room for my birthday. The location is close to businesses for things you may need. It was easy enough to taxi back and forth to the walled city.

The tourism worker didn’t seem to know much about local tours. I was in Cartagena for my birthday and explained that I wanted to spend my special day on a pristine beach. I explained this several times, and even had one beach in mind. She told me the best beach and the one she recommended (Isla del Encanto) would meet all of my requirements. I was sadly disappointed that the beach was not pristine as promised, and there were better beaches I could have gone to for the same price or cheaper. The WiFi did not work most of the time I was there, and the tv didn’t work the first day. The hotel does not have small face towels.

Excellent location, spacious, comfortable, lots of beds at the pool and a safe space by the beach. It was clean and all indoor places had blasting AC to beat the 107F weather. To get to my room, there was no indoor passage, so the 3min walk was heavy on the heat hahaha. Food was good, buffet breakfast and lunch, and a l carte dinner. Optional all inclusive or pay per meal. Lunch and Dinner were typically around $35 per person. I consider it a little pricey considering so many restaurants nearby, but the food was good and the comfort worth it. Room was good, bed was fairly comfortable, and the shower pressure was good. Hotel provides shampoo, conditioner, soap, bath gel, hair dryer, and safe in the closet. The spa is small but with different massage services, Turkish bath and hot tub. The room is equipped with a mini bar with drinks and snacks, at “hotel price”, good to get when in a rush, but I suggest walking out to the pharmacy less than 2 blocks away that is open 24 hours. You’ll get the same at more than half the price. The bellboys at the entrance are so helpful and very kind, either helping you or guiding you around the hotel. They also assist in getting you a taxi to get around. The hotel is well located by Bocagrande beach (hotel has a private area with lounge chairs and restaurant), and close by to the city with restaurants, souvenir shops, pharmacies and stores. There is also a small shopping mall within walking distance.

There wasn’t an indoor passage to the building with rooms. Front desk could be more attentive and informative.

it comes with the robe and the room is big. the shower is modern with rainfall shower which was amazing . good Lightning in the room; came with stacked mini fridge

The food .. the food quality did but match the hotel .. The food was bad in my opinion. great breakfast though. not good in dinner or a la carte food. didn’t like that you could bot have guest with all the money you spend staying there

Pool was great, excellent service from the pool personnel (cleanliness, towel service, beverages etc.). Breakfast was great, too many options and good to have fresh prepared omeletes as well. Family Room size was excellent, easily accomodates 2 adults and 4 kids. Our room was not a renovated one, so the bathroom was not so great, but the room furnitures and amenities were very good.

I learned that the deal price (which was advertised on bookin.com and stated on our reservation letter) was not including IVA, so I had to pay extra during checkin. Please note that you have to pay %25 approx. more for IVA and other taxes at the reception.

I like the hospitable staff and friendly service. Room was kept clean everyday. I loved the daily breakfast and 24/7 restaurant that served the full menu

The language barrier. Almost no one speaks english but I did well with google translate so make sure you know conversational spanish. Also for those who choose the ocean view room, be wary of the loud noises at night time from party buses driving through bocagrande

The property premises and layout are amazing! My family and I were amazed to encounter sloths, macaw and toucan birds, deer, and other exotic animals that wander freely around the property layout. We enjoyed the spacious nicely designed pool area and Restaurante Pedro de Heredia’s MANY breakfast and dinner offerings. I especially enjoyed the “Colombian” breakfast and fresh seafood for dinner (Arroz Tierra Bomba was my fav). Overall, my favorite experiences were embracing the Colombian cultural traditions shared by both hotel staff and guest; something I have never experienced at a resort. And how ALL the hotel staff catered to my family’s needs demonstrating how important family time is to Colombians.

It was occasionally loud at night from the vibrant party buses, but there were still plenty of relaxing moments.

Hotel was amazing, since we walked in the service and the staff very extremely nice and helpful. Inside the hotel is beautiful, very green, lots of animals (sloths, parrots..), pool is huge and has a smaller kids pool, 2 jacuzzis, lots of space. There are 2 restaurants that were pretty good. Spa and massages were good too. Amazing breakfast.

The rooms are outdated, they are currently working on remodeling and renewing the common areas in the hotel and hopefully will work on the rooms too. We booked 1 bedroom apartment and it looked more like a holleway with bedroom and not living room but it didn’t bother us much since we spent most of our time outside.

Friendly and helpful staff. Buffet style breakfast with a lot of selection. Pool was nice with enough sun loungers in both sun and shade. Best experience is all the animals that are there. Very quiet rooms. Very close to lots of different restaurants.

The hotel is in a nice & quiet area of Bocagrande, but that means it's a taxi ride to all the sites in Cartagena, as the walk along the coast is not that pleasant.

The animals and the kids playground were such a great treat. The pool area was comfortable

The facilities need maintenance. I saw many electrical wiring without covers which is a hazard for little kids. The telephone in The bedroom didn’t work, the tv stand was missing a handle, the window glass was dirty, the toilet was missing some screw covers, the bathtub is old and stained.
