The hostel is located in a very central location, walkable to all attractions. The reception staff are exceptionally good, particularly Christian(!!!) who was very attentive and assisted us with our booking and change of room. The amenities and activities are worth exploring. The breakfast is also good, and would recommend pre purchasing.the air conditioning was a life a saver and so good to have after a day of exploring. The cleaning staff were also very good and friendly.

The rooftop staff were less attentive and charged tips without asking but no other negative comments.

They’re rebranding the hotel (Selina) now Hotel Kim and they still keep some of the rates from the previous owners. This means that you need to double check what you pay at the restaurant at the terrace, because they have two menus available with different prices.

Loved the staff. So helpful. Really made a big difference to the trip. Helped get on tours, advise where medical places were and where could buy new phone after classic travelling incidents but best Selina staff of all the selinas I have stayed in across Panama and Colombia. Great food… really great food. Lovely roof tops and pools. We had a private shared room with 4 beds and our own bathroom it was great. Also had lockable lockers. Fantastic location. Would recommend. And after 11 it was pretty quiet. They also did same day laundry for you.

It was all good actually. Had a terrific stay.

my reserved standard room in this hotel was very bad, very small ordinary and with no outside window. I said that I have clostrophobia and can not stay in a room without outside window. I wanted to change my room but they said that all standard rooms are same. They had only suite rooms with outside windows and they were all reserved that night. I think it was just painted and could not sleep because of the odor and the uncomfortable bed. Next day I have passed to suite room with paying nearly double but it worthed. Very nice, big, well furnished and very comfortable with even coffee machine; lovely like your house. I advice the guests to reserve the suit rooms only, in this hotel. The location was perfect for conference center and for sightseeing places and the staff was very kind. Also there was a library where I could have studied until I pass to my suite room.

The standard room which I have reserved was awful! no outside windows, very small, bad odor, uncomfortable bed.

Selina Cartegena is an excellent one. After sraying at 5-6 Selina hostels in the last few month in central america, I can say that Selina Cartegena is the best one. I liked the interior design, enjoyed a Standard room with private bathroom and two rooftop restaurants & bar and the spacious Café downstairs. It was very comfortable and quiet to take a rest after a long trip. The staff are nice and friendly. Selina Cartegena was a suprise.

Selina Cartegena suprised me that unlike everywhere else, you have to pay an extra 5-10 box extra for using the coworking space.

Property is in a great location. It had the main building and then another across the street. Who place had AC high was very needed with the heat. Loved the lounge/bar area on the first floor and rooftop. Whole place was very clean and the staff were very helpful. Seems like they had plenty of activities to offer. My room was very spacious, had a very large bed, AC, and a balcony.

Wish I would have gotten a more in depth account of all the amenities but it’s my fault for not asking enough questions.

PERFECT LOCATION, in Getsemani and right by the old town (5min walk to old town). Lots of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby. The room was basic but very comfortable, nice to come back to freezing Aircon everyday after the hot day. The best breakfast we've had in Colombia, in a very beautiful setting on the rooftop bar, which also has a pool. Perfect if you are backpacking or visiting Cartagena for the first time.

The shared bathroom was small and got dirty very quickly.

Selina in general is amazing, have stayed the chain many times - different countries and always been great! The location was good, relatively close to downtown - easy to go (walking distance). Usually Selina is a bit pricy but worth it.

I got upgraded to a room instead of the dorm - which was great! Really appreciate it. Nonetheless - the price point for that "private bedroom" I believe it was overpriced - since it did had no windows and was quite small, the private bathroom was tiny. Since I was upgraded, the staff was asking/pushing me to submit a review before I left the hotel - when I was on a rush. I told them that I would do it but later since I liked the hotel - Then they offered me to "write the review for me" which was really disappointing. I asked them to give the "manager" who was asking for this - to give me a call, I havent received it yet. Selina is an amazing place to stay - but sometimes this kind of "techniques"/"management" could backfire. I don't trust anymore the reviews from them.

They made events for people to join and it was amazing. Hostel was clean in general and female dorm had its own bathroom which was cool.

I think there could be a drying area for wet clothes after pool or busy sea day. As addition, as a hostel, I would expect as least hot water for tea/coffee which was missing. A kettle would solve issue.

Great location to visit both the old city and getsemani. Really nice shared spaces with excellent aircon. Two buildings both with cool roof tops. Staff is super helpful and many spoke english. Could book tours through them. Filtered water available and good breakfasts. They upgraded me to a private room my second night. The dorm the first night was small but comfortable and clean. The small private with a shared bathroom was excellent and I would recommend if you need a night away from a dorm!
