Super staff! All of them - the receptionists, the cook, the cleaners, and the other helpers. They were helpful and efficient handling numerous of our requests, and always cheerful. The hotel is close to the centre of the action in Getsemani. I booked one of the smaller rooms. The room was just the right size for us. Tips: 1) the English of the staff was from excellent to quite good, but occasionally, knowing at least basic Spanish or using a translator app or phrasebook can help. 2) If a mini fridge is important to you, check if the room you want has one. We didn't need one, and our room didn't have one.

Only one quibble: it had one night table, I asked for a second (which I insist there was room for), but they said it wasn't possible. (The only time we didn't get what we asked for.)

I liked that it was in the heart of Getsemaní , as a solo traveler , that was a plus for me . Location was convenient . Most restaurants and bars I wanted to visit were in very close proximity to the property. 24 hours front desk was a plus . The workers made my stay a good one. They were helpful, considerate and friendly /sociable . I actually enjoyed breakfast every morning even tho it was the same options . Everything was delicious .

The rooftop bar was closed every night. There were nights I just wanted to be at the pool but no one was ever upstairs . I made a reservation on bookings in advance , however I found a cheaper cost at the same property days before getting there , that changed was not noticed and I was charged the cost of the first reservation . I didn’t like that , these details need to be updated and checked for a smooth check in process . Hector was patient and kind and I appreciated that . My sheets were not clean , however they were changed after I made it known. New towels and rags , are needed and I suggest a kettle with tea products in the room seeing the rooftop bar is closed at nights . vanity lights added to the bathroom mirror would be a nice touch to this small boutique hotel .

A beautiful quiet hotel in the midst of the buzz of Getsemani. At a central location so you easily walk into Getsemani and the rest of the old town. You can hear the buzz from the street if it is loud, but the hotel itself is relatively quiet, it really takes you to a serene space. The room was good, clean and functional. Bathroom was great! The rooftop pool was nice to relax at after wandering around town. Breakfast was good on one day the other a bit less but still ok. I would most likely stay again!

A small thing was that not all the staff was quite friendly or willing to greet/help/serve me as a customer there.. others were friendly and helpful though. I felt a bit uncomfortable by the double request for a comment on tripadvisor as I did not do this right away and I also had to fill out a review on paper. My suggestion would be to be a bit more relaxed about this, rather than to push for it.

Excellent location, breakfast to order. If we had chosen the other room, we would have been happier.

Room was ridiculously small and without any ventilation. The small pool was invaded by turkey vultures so that was unappetizing. The hot tub was not really hot.

The room was really clean and the bed comfortable. We loved having access to the pool so we could cool down in the morning and afternoons. The hotel is perfectly located and it was easy to walk safely everywhere!

The room was a bit small, so it can be a bit harder to hangout in the room especially when it is raining outside and we are trying to stay dry for a bit (there are only few areas in the hotel to hang out inside when it rains). We loved our stay and would recommend regardless :)

Our stay was exceptional on every level. The room was a cut way above cookie cutter chain hotel rooms. The inside of the building is absolutely lovely. Rooftop breakfast was also a cut above, with fresh fruit and made to order main course. A quiet oasis in a bustling area. But the best part was the staff. Just incredibly friendly and helpful in every way. We were taking the boat to the Rosario Islands the next morning for a 2-night stay and could not take all our luggage with us. They let us store luggage even though we were not booked to stay there upon our return from the islands. That's really above and beyond.

A longer stay.

My room was quite small, but it was well appointed and very clean. The bathroom was exceptional. The breakfast was truly amazing as it was located on the rooftop with a fabulous view, good food, and great service.

The coatrack clothing shelf in my room was difficult to get around.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was excellent - it is right in the heart of Gestsemani. The hotel let us leave our bags as we arrived before check-in and let us store them there while we went to the Playa Blanca which we greatly appreciated. We stayed in a Superior Double room and a Standard Single room. The Standard Single room was quite tight for two people so if you appreciate space, I would recommend the Superior Double room for comfort

The breakfast options are quite limited - I would appreciate more options, especially being a vegetarian. Except for one or two the staff weren't very friendly, I don't know if this is because they spoke little English and we spoke little Spanish.

Location is very convenient to the old town and lots of restaurants and activity.

There was no place to work in my room. WiFi was spotty.

Bed and blankets very comfortable and the room had 2 ac units, keeping it the perfect temperature! The pool was small but nice.

There were only 2 lounge chairs, would be nice to have more. Also, I had to let staff know my boyfriend was locked outside as they couldn't hear the knocking and there was no doorbell. If I was with him I'm not sure how we would have gotten inside.
