The hotel has a most kind, helpful and attentive staff across the board from reception to housekeeping. Beautifully decorated and well maintained, the hotel is very clean. Despite the central location it is quiet thanks to the internal courtyard. Excellent spa with experienced therapist. Walking distance from many sights and surrounded by great restaurants. The breakfast was a highlight to start every day. The hotel reception was very helpful in arranging various activities and providing recommendations.

No gym at the hotel, but there is a full gym in a mall a 10min walk away.

The hotel was absolutely stunning with lovely staff who do everything they can to help you during your stay. The rooms are spacious and all amenities carefully thought out. The location is fantastic for exploring getesemani and the old town, everything is less than 10 mins walk. The hotel itself is a beautiful oasis in the middle of a busy part of the city where you can escape and relax by the pool or on the rooftop. The 15mins complimentary massages were also a lovely bonus.

The breakfast was great but it would have been nice to have a few more options included with the room cost. Everything else was absolutely fantastic.

There’s so much to like about this hotel. The building is beautiful and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We stayed in a family suite with two levels and two bathrooms. They even had child sized robes waiting for our kids when we arrived. Our room was on the inside of the building so the street noise was reduced. Weather prevented us from taking full advantage of the pool, but we used it twice and enjoyed the rooftop. Breakfast was tasty. Staff were always very helpful and kind.

When it rains they turn off the elevator to the roof. This was not an issue for us as it’s only on the third floor, but anyone with mobility issues might find this very hard. There is glass flooring around the pool area that is extremely slippery when wet. Our kids fell multiple times. The pool area is small and would probably feel very crowded with more than one group using it.

Beautiful property and great rooftop pool. The rooms are well appointed and clean. Lush greenery. You really feel like you’re in a tropical beautiful vacation. The staff were all very attentive and helpful, but not intrusive. The location was absolutely perfect, located in the edge of Getsemani and less than 5 mins from the walled city and the port. We walked absolutely everywhere.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, particularly Elizabeth on reception. She went out of her way to help us make arrangements for our daily activities, giving sound advice on the best things to do, assisting with bookings, taxis and more. She even set up a chat on WhatsApp and made sure to message us, even on her days off, to check everything had gone smoothly. The hotel itself felt like a second home, a vibe created by the warmth, friendliness and attentiveness of their wonderful staff. We stayed in 4 different hotels during our stay and this was by far our favourite!

It would have been great to have had a slightly larger pool but an almost insignificant issue given the hotel's location and how much there is to do in the area.

This property was amazing! Centrally located and staff super attentive!! Greasiest was amazing!!! Also, hotel bar one of the best lulo margaritas I’ve ever had!!! Made from scratch! I travel the world! So that’s saying ALOT! Hotel also, coke around to give guest nightly sweets and complimentary water… nice touch!

The staff met us at the front door and explained everything that we would need to know about the hotel and the surrounding area. The room was great and the staff really attended to any questions we had. Breakfast was delicious and convenient. Location is perfect, everything is walkable. Rey at the front is the man, super helpful and polite from beginning to end.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Breakfast was good. Rooftop pool and bar were great and a welcome relief after a day of sightseeing.

I had to beg for more coffee pods in the room. Was told coffee was free only the first day of our stay, which I thought was very chintzy for a hotel of this caliber. Told them so and they agreed to provide them for free, but they still were not delivered unless I asked every day.

Our eight (8) day stay in March-2023, at the hotel, (Capellan de Getsemani), was amazing. We were there along with various other family members, who also stayed at the hotel, who were also very satisfied. All the staff in all the depts., were very polite, very well trained and very helpful. The floor manager was especially attentive in helping us with our special emergency needs. There were two employees, (in particular), at the front desk who went all out of their way to help us, while we were there. The bellboy at the front door was always present to help; the check-in, was fast, our special requests for the room modifications were immediately attended to, through the help of the check-in, front-desk clerk. On another occasion, another front-desk employee, was very helpful in making emergency calls for us and in helping us to make changes to our flight plans, that ensued. The included breakfast every morning was excellent. It included a fruit dish, other hot & cold breakfast items, etc. The attention by restaurant staff was also great. The maids came in promptly everyday to clean and disinfect the rooms and were very fast and efficient in, so doing. Other staff members within the hotel were also very polite and attentive. The roof-top pool and jacuzzi areas were acessible by elevator and stairs. The terrace offered a nice view of the modern "Playa Grande", high-rise building skyline, in the distance. We would highly recommend this hotel for its location; just within the Getsemani area, but yet within walking distance of the main cultural district in the region of the historic "Clock Tower" and other touristic sites. absolutely beautiful property, located at the start of getsemani, and easy to reach the old town what I love is about this hotel were all the small touches. When we arrived, we were given a wet towel that smelt nice to freshen up. We had some arrival cheese and charcuterie in our room. Every evening we were given a little snack. All of these things made the stay exceptional. The coffee that they served at breakfast was some of the best coffee that I have tasted in Columbia. and the bonus is that above the swimming pool there is a deck with an amazing view of the city where there is also a Jacuzzi. It seemed that not a lot of people knew about this. So whilst everybody in all of Cartagena are crowding rooftop bars to watch the sunset, we had a completely available terrace on our own with a Jacuzzi with an amazing view, overseeing the city. This is an absolute gem, and I highly recommend this hotel to anybody, without a shadow of a doubt.
