Super happy with staying at the Hotel Boutique La Artilleria. The property is super clean and feels fresh. Nicely decorated and simple. I highly recommend the Junior Suite which contains a King bed and a separate twin bed and a couch. It is much larger than the King Superior room and King Standard Room. Rooms have a fridge with mini bar for those late night quenches of thirst. The Free Breakfast was delicious and consisted of eggs your way, fruit, juice/coffee and a specialty daily side item. All the staff from the reception, breakfast and maintenance were very friendly and helpful. The property is a block away from a street with various restaurants, stores, bars and supermarkets. Also within a 15min walk to other key sites. This hotel was perfect for my family's needs. There's a pool on the 3rd floor rooftop. It's small but was great for a quick dip at night. WiFi worked very well from the rooms too.

Really friendly and helpful staff, especially the lady who served me breakfast every morning. Very thankful that the hotel had air conditioning although it would rattle from time to time. The shower had hot water, which despite Cartagena being so hot, I appreciated. I thought the hotel was in a great location, it felt safe and quiet even though it was just inside the Getsemani area where there's lots of people trying to entice tourists into their restaurants, bars and shops. The pool / hot tub was small and pleasant with a view of Castle San Felipe de Barajas.

The room was a little small with only a few shelves for you to use if you unpack and it had no table or desk. Unfortunately the safe didn't work despite the hotel strongly encouraging their guests to use them for their valuables. The mini fridge would make loud noises every so often. The room is also right next to the breakfast kitchen so if you're a light sleeper you may way up to the sound of breakfast being prepared.

The location of the hotel in Getsemaní is excellent -- a 10-15 minute walk to everything, including the castle. Normally we would expect some noise being so close to bars and restaurants, but our room was super quiet. It was lovely to wake up to a nice, plentiful breakfast in the courtyard of the hotel. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The pool is small but perfectly fine if you just want to soak and relax.

For the price, I expected some of the details to be better, for instance, the bed only had a nightstand on one side, the bathroom should have some kind of receptacle for the hand soap. The shower head had some weird pressure problems, and the hot water was very inconsistent. Obviously, though, these are small details and wouldn't even be worth a second thought except for the price/class of the hotel.

1. It's fit for the price and quality. 2. Good and full breakfast: eggs, bread, butter, empanadas, juice natural, coffee. 3. Great design. Big and comfortable bed in the superior room. 4. Near the historical central, about 10 minutes. 5. Near the park, where a sloth live. 6. Location is in modern region. 7. Near the San Felipe castle, about 15 minutes. 8. Great a terraza and a swimming pool.

1. Check in ONLY at 3 pm, it doesn't matter if the room is free or not. It was the first time, when I met this rule. But you have an opportunity to leave the bags in a special place and walk around. So, the staff is very friendly. 2. Very BAD shower head (in the superior room on the second floor and in the standard room in the first floor). !!! It needs a replacement. 3. Does not answer in the chat of the App Booking. 4. If it's possible do not book first floor rooms, near the kitchen. There are damp smell and a lots of mosquitoes. Second and third floor are better. 5. Construction going on nearby, noisy on weekdays. But the rooms have a good plastic and noise protected windows.

Clean, comfy bed, quiet street. Free breakfast and all staff helpful. In the middle of everything but away from the noise at night. On the same street is a laundry mat and convenience store. Everything is walking distance. THERE IS HOT WATER, it takes a sec to kick in. Bring your own face towel if you're that type. You can flush toilet paper (I did by accident) but I bought ziploc bags from the dollar store to use, best to ask them if you can flush tp down, I never did i used ziploc. It's lively at night, ppl dancing on the street etc. I stayed in superior double room w balcony. There's a huge bed + a single bed. 2 types of Balcony, 1 you can just stand in very small, the other is a normal size Balcony where you can fit a chair and sit down, so if you're a smoker ask how to get the bigger balcony, I got the small one.

Nothing really, most can speak a bit of English but there's free wifi so Google translate if you need something from them lol

The location is fantastic. The pool area on the roof is also very cute. The pool is shallow but great to cool off in. Staff all very friendly.

We had a room on the ground floor. The only window was out to the hallway so we had to keep the blind down as people keep walking past and it is also looking into the patio area where people eat and hang out. So the room was super dark and felt a bit claustrophobic. The rooms on the upper floors looked great though.

Good location, breakfast and comfortable bed. Hot water and air conditioning both working well. Friendly staff.

Nothing special. But, be careful with the towels, one of them was ripped and showing signs of age. Small bathroom. Please be aware that there is no elevator at this hotel, so, if you have big and heavy luggage you will need to lift it. Glass doors in the bathroom are a no, at least for me.

The beds were very good. The room had a good air-conditioning, WiFi worked well and the pool was small but nice. Location felt safe

The shower didn't work very well . The first night took us 30min to check in because they couldn't offer the same room for 2 nights while this was promised. All was fine in the end but it caused unnecessary frustration

The room was spacious and clean, we enjoyed spending time by the pool and in the few shared living spaces. Very quiet yet very close to Getsemani's busiest streets, so you can enjoy the calm while being meters away from the fun. The location is literally as good as it gets in Cartagena. Staff was very kind. Breakfast was delicious.

There was a planned electricity power cut on our last day, so AC wasn't working all day in our room. They still had a generator going, but it wasn't enough power for the AC. We didn't trust the pool cleanliness enough to get in the water, plus it was very hot as it is in the sun all day (no shade at all on the rooftop), so not the refreshing pool we hoped for in the heat of the city.

Good location away from me the noisiest streets of Getsemani but a short walk to everything and close to the old town too. Decent breakfast with some variety each day. Rooms were small but clean. There’s a small rooftop pool open during the day.

The bathroom was small and not very private.
