Firstly I'd like to highlight the best communication we had ever had with a hotel before we arrived. They answered every question and request I had in a most professional manner. The staff at Posada La Fe were equally competent and friendly. The room and bathroom were small but cleverly designed. Breakfast was amazing with fruit, natural fruit juice that changed every day. Between a great choice of breakfast, we chose the avocado toast that was beautiful and delicious.

Even if the hotel had a strong noise insulation, I wouldn't say it was quiet inside. I'm sensitive to noise and had to wear earplugs to fall asleep. It wasn't a problem for me. It's the price to pay if you stay in the callejon Ancho in Getsemaní. Finally, I would add that I found the room pretty expensive. Nevertheless, Cartagena is a luxury town with European prices, and this hotel reaches easily the same European standard.

The staff were exceptional we had no Spanish but they helped us continuously always smiling . I broke my case a few hrs before the airport and they organised for a taxi to bring me to a mall to buy a suitcase and wait for me. The ladies walked me to the end of the street to hand me to the taxi driver and met me when I came back unbelievable. I also left a watch behind and they rang my taxi on the way to their airport so I had time to return to collect it. They were exceptional and language was no barrier as we used google translate I can’t recommend the place enough for this reason.

We chose the hotel for the location so central But there can be loud music until 3 am that may keep u awake but the atmosphere on the street is fabulous

Posada La Fe is located on a bustling street in the middle of Getsemani. At first we thought, this could be a loud problem; however, the first night we were proven wrong. I'm a light sleeper and I never heard the noise (and we even jokingly tried)!!! You will love the action of this street but also love the quiet oasis that awaits you when you go inside. Breakfast is amazing. Lots of options! Fresh fruit, coffee, cereal, yogurt then a menu with LOTS of options. We ended up getting the same thing every day and by the 3rd day, Yolanda & Gregoria just knew what we were going to order. BTW, Yolanda & Gregoria are amazing. They speak limited English but I was happy to practice my (limited) Spanish. It worked out just fine. The wifi is great (I had to work a bit during my stay) and the AC in the room was perfect (you will need and enjoy this in Cartagena)! We even got the chance to go in the plunge pool (it's so refreshing so don't miss out). I would 100% recommend Posada La Fe to everyone! I couldn't have asked for more during our stay. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much for making our stay in Cartagena amazing!

- we liked the staff: very friendly and supportive - the building and our room were clean - the shower worked well - the bed was ok - the breakfast was nice - location is superb, and isolation is good given the location. You will hear some noise, but the property also warns for this upfront while booking (which is very good, managing expectations)

- wifi did not work properly because of a fire (said), and given our room was in the centre of the large building, we felt like being in a bunker without internet at all. The management offered 10 percent discount, which we appreciate. At the moment of writing we are waiting to receive this discount.

The room was super cute and really comfortable! The shower was great - really hot water! The staff were all very friendly and you can tell they all enjoy working there! Gregoria was super friendly and even though our Spanish was super limited, we managed to communicate - she was always smiling. The hotel is on one of the busier streets in that area, but somehow the noise doesn't travel too far. We experienced no noise the first night and some the second, but still managed to sleep well! Breakfast is yummy and plentiful! The upstairs chilling area is great when you want to escape the heat! We really enjoyed our stay!

This posada is perfectly located on a lively Gethsemane street and the rooms are absolutely silent at night. I am a light sleeper and heard nothing, even with the street in full swing, until the birds woke me up in the morning. Our bed was comfortable, with 5 lovely pillows and soft sheets. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the towels thick and fluffy. The staff is absolutely delightful, helpful and accommodating with every request. The posada has multiple public seating areas, by the rooftop pool and on the second floor patio. Breakfast was abundant each morning, with fresh fruit, coffee with milk, choices of cereal and a variety of cooked to order breakfasts. There is a filtered water station, so that one can refill water bottles, but there was also a pitcher of cold water in our room's fridge, plus room temperature water near the coffee machine in our room. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!

We loved every aspect of this posada!

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We traveled to Isla Grande for two nights during our stay and were able to leave our luggage at the hotel. After the final checkout, we were able to shower in a spare room, which made our return flight much more pleasant. The hotel is located in the middle of the Getsemani nightlife district and is still very quiet. You really can't hear anything from the street in the hotel. Almost all of Cartagena's sights are within walking distance. The rooms are nicely furnished and are pleasantly cool thanks to the air conditioning and ceiling fan. We are more than happy to have chosen the Posada La Fe for the end of our trip to Colombia.

Charming cozy 6-room hotel on the funnest street in Getsemani! The highlight of the place is for sure the lovely staff, who were so kind and patient with us despite our limited Spanish, and who made us delicious breakfasts each day in the communal area. We loved the location - a short walk to the sights of the walled city, and near all the funnest getsemani bars and restaurants (make a reservation at one of the salsa bars!) and the main square. Our room was cozy, cool, clean, comfortable and shockingly QUIET. Would definitely stay here again.

Very minor - the safe in our room didn’t work. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

This is a very nice, very small, quality boutique-like hotel in the Getsemani part of Cartagena. Outside can be super-busy with a very nice vibe, inside it's tranquil and comfortable, with staff that cares. Getsemani has a special urban jungle vibe to it, with lots of small bars, artists etc - nice experience. The 'classic' historic centre is at less than 10 minutes walk, so location-wise this is very appropriate. Breakfast had a few variants, going beyond the standard Colombian hotel breakfast. Price/quality made sense (we spent a bit more than elsewhere, but it was also clearly a level up from elsewhere). I'd do it again! As usual speaking Spanish helps, but they had everything ready on paper in English. And when there's a long-term power outage the generator keeps everything running at a level where you don't really notice the lights have gone out in the neighbourhood ;-)

No real points for improvement, it's just a nice place. Perhaps the only thing to mention is that you won't be able to get a taxi to the front door, but then staff makes a serious effort to help you from/to the corner, so unless you can't walk 40 meters with your luggage you're good to go!

The room was very comfortable, with a good shower and air conditioning. The bed was made up and the room cleaned every day. Elsie and Yolanda, the resident housekeepers, were superb and couldn't do enough for us. They also made excellent breakfasts. The location was right in the heart of Getsemani, so a great base for exploring Cartagena.

It would have been helpful if we'd been warned about the partying crowds in advance of our arrival! It was exciting but also a little stressful navigating through the crowd with our suitcases on the night we arrived (which was a Saturday). We thought the noise would stop us from sleeping but in fact the three sets of doors provided a good sound barrier. Potential visitors should know that the roof pool is only 0.5m deep so not really for swimming. It's good for a cooling dip though.
