I was blown away!!!!!!! This is the best place I’ve ever stayed. I don’t want people to know about this hidden gem. From how easy checking in was to how beautifully modern and presented the room it was up to a very good standard. I asked them if they can store my luggage and they did from 7:30 am until 5 pm just amazing! I was able to do a tour on my last day. They are very flexible and accommodating and so sweet! you will be treated like a King or Queen here. It is walkable to Getsamani in a great location! — I felt safe as a female solo traveller and felt I could walk the streets at night. I cannot wait to come back here !!!! I would book it in a heart beat !!!!!

The only thing was there were crumbs next to the bed so paying attention to details when cleaning would be great also a soap was left in the shower and hair from someone previously was there too. It could be been cleaner

The suite was large, the bed was huge! The apartment was clean and everything worked well. The pool was lovely. We had the pool to ourself nearly ever afternoon. There is a dining area up on the roof with more sun loungers than the ones just by the pool. Perfect location, just around the corner from the main square.

It's not a negative but If I was to book again I would choose a place on the second floor. Despite the suite being lovely it was on the ground floor, so we felt conscious about having the curtains open. However, There are vines that cover the window at the front to give some privacy.

A great property. Well appointed rooms Very comfy beds and a secure building. Our key card worked perfectly for the front door once Kevin showed us to make sure we put it flat against the key pad. But there is always someone there to assist 24/7. They were great hosts and the rooms were spotless. It was relatively quiet despite big events just outside the front door. Good location with easy walks to very good restaurants close by. Getsemaní is more cultural and arty rather than the main square which is very touristy so it was great to be away from there. Staff are awesome.

We stayed there several times thru our 6 weeks of travelling in Colombia. We loved the location, value for our money, roof top pool, great rooms with small kitchens and mostly the staff. Yean the young man that works there is very thoughtful and shows initiative to help the costumer’s . I got very sick from a restaurant in the area. Yean seen that I was sick and offered to get me some antibiotics , which saved me because I had fly home a few days later. All the staff are caring and do an amazing job. The main girl ( didn’t get her name), got TV going in English which is huge when you spend a entire in bed. Thanks to all of you❤️

Really good location, close to restaurants and bars. Can walk to old town easily. The room was so spacious and really comfortable after being in much smaller rooms on our travels. Beautiful rooftop pool - views of the city, was only us each time we went up. Also lots of tables and chairs to have a drink on the rooftop. Staff on site 24/7 helping with check in and really helpful.

It wasn't a burden at all but the key card doesn't open the front door so staff would answer a doorbell, good to know for when you stay so not stuck outside

Del Mar Guesthouse is a beautiful property located at the end of the walled city of Cartagena (in the Getsemani neighborhood). The location is at walking distance of most landmarks and feels very safe. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the room (and the entire property) was super clean, the AC worked well and the rooftop pool was a nice bonus!

To enter the building you could not always use your own key card but you had to ring the bell and wait for someone to open the door. This was not a big issue at all.

Del Mar Guest House is located in the historic barrio of Getsemani. With wonderful views of the bay and close proximity to many local attractions. The rooftop pool is a plus with scenic views of La Popa Convent. Emiliano the security at night is very attentive and he makes sure that all his guests are safe when arriving or leaving the building. I enjoyed my stay at Del Mar Guest House is will be back again.

Nice Guest House with a good location to discover Cartagena. Comfortable bed and spacious room.

The water pressure was really low in the shower. So low it was hard to wash my hair properly. When mentioned (through Whatsapp since there is no reception) they said it was standard but the shower at the pool had much more waterpressure. Service and communication to guests could be improved.

Central location, walking distance to many tourist attractions but luckily located on the edge of Getsemani so it was quiet enough at night. Large, comfortable room and wonderful view of the cityscape from the balcony.

The front door to the guest house is locked so you need to ring the door bell and a hotel attendant then opens the door to let you in. It wasn’t too much of a hassle but waiting on the main road (the hotel door is right near the road) does leave you a little exposed, especially at night.

The room was lovely and modern. Having AC and a desk was a real plus. The location is also super convenient and we loved the rooftop pool!

We got a little lost looking for the property based on the address on booking.com, but had better luck finding it when we searched “Del Mar Guest House” into Google maps.
