Beautifully decorated in an eclectic mix of colonial, beachcomber, dream catcher, and antique style. I know that sounds odd, but the net result is beautiful. My room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable, linens and towels were fresh and new and the shower had good pressure although I never figured out how to get hot water, but then I never asked as in the heat, the cooler water was better. There are a couple of lovely spots indoor and outdoor for relaxing. Location is perfect on a quiet street but just minutes from all the action and a 5 to 10 minute walk to the clock tower. It is very quiet at all times. Breakfast is served in the lovely courtyard and everything is made to order. The food is first rate. I had fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with ham and good coffee but there are other options. The staff are fantastic, especially the lady who made breakfast daily. She was always cheerful, very helpful and friendly, and best of all, cooks a great breakfast. I cannot thank her enough. The night staff were also very helpful. Security is excellent as you need to be buzzed in 24 hours a day.

My only very minor gripe was that the A/C in my room made a low hum, which bothered me the first night bet not thereafter. I may just have been over tired after a very long day travelling.

Great location, in the heart of Getsemani, but just one block away from the busy streets. At night it was very quiet. I also loved the decor of the rooms and common areas. The room was comfortable and not too small, with air conditioning (highly needed in Cartagena). The staff was friendly, and the lady serving the breakfast, Nancy, was very kind. We appreciated that they let us leave our luggages for a couple of days while visiting Isla Grande.

The breakfast was quite basic, scrambled eggs with or without vegetables with bread. I ordered the pancakes once, but they served me a waffle. The fruit was nice though. Given the high rating of the hotel and previous reviews, I was expecting a bit more. From booking, I understood that the kitchen was shared and could be used by the guests, but that was not the case. The pool is not really a pool, as others mentioned. I would not rate this as a 4-star hotel, but a 3-star. I understand Cartagena is quite pricey, but it was not the best value for money.

The location is perfect, the building is intimate and thoughtfully designed and decorated. Casa Moraria is lovely, but it was Nancy, the most incredible, kind, and charming host, that made our stay in Cartagena so memorable! She anticipated our every need and shared her love of this beautiful city with us. We looked forward to joining her at the breakfast bar each morning, as she created delicious meals to order. When in Cartagena, Casa Moraira is like your home away from home! Thank you Nancy and team! We will be back!

Great location in a quiet side street just off the hustle and bustle of Getsemani. You can walk to all the main sights and the harbour for boat trips. Nice spaceous, clean room, super-friendly staff. Small hotel, so very intimate. They organized airport transportation for us, which went smoothlessly. Laundry was done within a day for a fair price. Really tasty breakfast. We'd recommend this place!

The shower took a bit getting used to. Windows facing the inner courtyard, we had to leave the blinds drawn all day for privacy. With the heat it wasn't a bad idea though. The safe was broken, but to be fair, we did not need it and did not complain.

Great location, near everything whilst not being too noisy. Walking into the courtyard immediately felt tranquil. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely done but a little small. Breakfast was really great and made to order.

The room was a little small and there was no where to put clothes really. But that was only a small thing as we were only there for a few days.

The guesthouse is set in a quiet, safe alley that feels calm and welcoming, few seconds away from the main streets of Getsemaní. We loved all the little details of the venue, especially the authentic furniture. Staff friendly and smiley.

Unfortunately the room was not very clean, we found hair on the bed and on the floor. Shower pressure could be improved, at night there was no hot water and we felt very cold. Breakfast could be improved with a few options more.

Great location. The air conditioning in the room works very well and is necessary. Breakfast is nothing special, but not bad. Nice TV in the room with streaming services. Wi-Fi that actually works quite good.

One of the towels provided had a stain on it. The shower is quite weird, with very limited ability to tune the temperature of water. Not really bad: The room is cleaned only on specific request (with the standard door handle sign), if you don’t put it, the room will not be entered- which could also be a plus, too. The outside unit of the air conditioner was making too much noise in the night, at times it was too much, and turning the AC off was not an option since the room becomes very hot quite fast. A bit expensive. Limited amenities in the room, with a safe that was locked down.

The location was great (about a 5-10 min walk into the old walled city) and the space was clean and quiet. There were other guests around, but all were quiet and respectful of common spaces. The staff, especially Paula, were very helpful from start to finish, both in English and Spanish. The fan and AC in our room were deeply appreciated, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious! The street was also very quiet, but close to everything we needed.

The beds were a little hard (but we slept very well) and there were no blankets in the room. It was so hot out that the sheets were generally fine, but once you cranked up the AC, a blanket would have been nice!

The housekeeper who did the breakfast was a delight and made an effort to prepare a very good breakfast. She was an asset to that hotel and very helpful. The room was small but comfortable and the hotel is very well located.

We unfortunately arrived very late due to cancelled flight. When we arrived exhausted we were checked in by a far from helpful male receptionist. The other staff in the morning made up for his lack of welcome.

Gorgeous little hotel / b&b on a quiet street but in the heart of Getsemani. The hotel is thoughtfully and colourfully decorated - it felt like a mini oasis - with different rooms coming off a shared courtyard and dipping pool. The staff were so friendly! They were able to check us in early and hold our bags. The bed was soo comfortable and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a short but lovely stay.
