We spent one night here in late March, chosen because it is literally a 10-minute walk from the airport and advertised a 24-hour front desk. We arrived well after midnight and were cheerfully greeted by a young gentleman who showed us to our room. The hotel is modern and the air-conditioning in the room was most welcome, as was the generously late check-out time that allowed us to sleep in after our late arrival. The breakfast was adequate, wifi was good, and the bed very comfortable.

The only drawback is the neighborhood, which would not feel safe walking to/from the airport at night for a single woman traveler. Also, it would probably not be a suitable location for a multi-night stay, there does not seem to be much of interest in the neighborhood.

This is a lovely little hotel just across the road from the airport. Bright, very clean, well-furnished and with very friendly staff. The breakfast is very nice and served in a comfortable dining-room. The staff here were very professional and helpful; from the young guy who checked me in and showed me to my room, the young lady at breakfast who was always helpful and smiling and the lady at check-out who was very professional. My room was comfortably big enough and was very quiet. I would happily stay here again.

I know some people have pointed out that the local area is dodgy but I didn't think it was at all. I agree it's a little bit shabby but I certainly didn't sense a threatening atmosphere. It's just local people going about their daily business. Don't be nervous about walking around the area, you should be fine. Having said that apart from eating and drinking there's nothing much to do here. A taxi to town costs about 5 dollars and if you are fluent in Spanish you can get a bus ( I didn't know where to start on this one ). I have no complaints about the hotel at all.

A secure, well-attended hotel with friendly staff and a front desk staffed 24 hrs/day. It is virtually across the street from the airport terminal, so it's perfect for anyone arriving by plane late at night or needing to leave early in the morning. We had a 6:00 AM flight and we simply walked one block with our luggage to the terminal. There is a small restaurant at the hotel but it's not open often and offers few choices. Immediately next door is a small, modest seafood restaurant with excellent and inexpensive dishes. Highly recommended.

Not a very nice neighborhood. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around at night. The hotel is small in every way: small lobby, small hallways, small rooms, and a tiny pool in a small enclosed area next to the restaurant. The pool was only open from 4:00-6:00 PM when we were there. But the facility was clean, well-maintained, well-staffed, and secure. The benefit of it is its proximity to the airport. If you don't need to be near the airport, there's no reason to stay there.

We spent 2 nights at the Varanasi Boutique Hotel during our return to Cartagena from Santa Marta & Minca. We had a 7am flight back to the US and wanted a hotel close to the airport. The Varanasi is just minutes from the airport, so it fit the bill. The staff was friendly & offered some helpful suggestions regarding grocery stores & restaurants close by. The only morning we were able to enjoy breakfast, we were waited on by a lovely young woman who made sure we had everything we wanted.

Walking distance to the airport, even manageable with big suitcases. Big rooms, has everything you need. Friendly staff, especially during breakfast.

The restaurant was closed in the evening although it was supposed to be open. The area around was not very nice so as a single women traveller, I didn't want to walk around to look for alternatives. They wanted to charge 90.000 Pesos for a friend who wanted to quickly use my room to change clothes before her flight left.

The room was nice and it was clean but there were frosted glass in the windows so we did not have any view from our room. The bed was comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good. It had a large variety of different food and the lady server was extremely nice and had a beautiful smile. We arrived in Cartagena at 10:30 pm and did not want to walk the short distance to the hotel so we asked a taxi to take us there. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience as the taxi driver drove us around for about 20 minutes looking for the hotel which was only a block and a half away from the airport. We were so upset and tired that we asked him to bring us back to the airport. I then called the hotel from the airport and spoke to a very nice and helpful gentleman who ended up speaking to another taxi driver and told him exactly where the hotel was and that taxi driver brought us to the hotel.

I didn't like the idea that when I checked out I told the reception I took a bottle of water and they charged me $7,000 Colombian pesos cash and when I asked for a receipt for my room, I realized when I reached my home that the same reception charged me again $7, 000 Colombian pesos for the water on my Visa card.

So glad I found this hotel, super convenient! My flight was arriving at midnight which concerned me being a solo female traveller, so I booked this hotel and very happy with it. Less than 5 minute walk from the airport, 24 hour reception, friendly staff, comfortable room and all the conveniences you could need. If you’re leaving late night or early morning I would highly recommend!

Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Questions were answered before I could even ask them. Once I turned around by the pool to ask for a towel and Emilce was already standing there with one. It felt so warm, like family. I wanted to stay there because of the airport, but now I want to stay there when I return, even though not in the City centre, it is worth it!!! Special mention to all the staff especially Emilce, I hope I spelt her name right, cause she is a Queen!!!

I am picky and for me to have zero complaints is rare, but I honestly couldn't ask for more.

only stayed here one night for a layover, less than 5 minute walk to airport. close to some cute local restaurants. Pool was super cute, quiet and calm. The drinks from the bartender were tasty! staff were helpful.

our room was on the first floor so there was a bit of noise coming from the main hallway (to the restaurant and pool) our window was semi interior to a little resting room off the main hallway so we couldn’t really open it.

Cozy hotel with a convenient location and great food. Undoubtedly, the staff members are the best attribute of this company, always smiling and making you feel at home.

Swimming pool schedule should be extend.
