Location: the area doesn't feel safe to walk around at night. During the day it's more okay. Laundry: they asked 50000 COP for 4 kg of clothes, seems like they certainly used the tourist tax there. Shower: low water pressure

A quite friendly place to stay whilst in Cartagena. It’s in a local area, so it can be noisey during the day (especially on a Sunday) but it quietens down late evening. The owners are super friendly and very helpful. The Pool is amazing. This accomodation is about 20mins from the touristic area, but none of those at this price point have a pool anything like here. The kitchen is bare, but it still has pretty much everything to cook basic meals of pasta etc. Rooms a little dated but it’s at least clean. Beds comfy and we slept well. Would recommend

The friendliness of the staff who are john, jesus and diana are charming. the security, the pool is lovely for a hot day in Cartagena, it really is a plus 100!! The lodging is 5 minutes by car to the historic center on foot, approximately 30 minutes. The neighborhood where the lodging is located is the true culture of Cartagena, it is very quiet and unique. Do not be intimidated by the taxis that speak ill of this neighborhood. I reserved 1 day, I am going to stay 7 more days in this paradise, I recommend it 100% you will feel at home..

This is a little haven once you go inside. The staff work so hard to keep it as nice as possible. They are always cleaning or working on the surroundings. They are so friendly and welcoming. It’s just such a lovely place. Love the pool to hang out. Love the staff. It was a little haven of pure relaxation when inside. Every day they clean your rooms - it’s sooo clean. The staff work so hard and all with a smile on their face.

The only thing but isn’t the hotels fault is the area isn’t the best, but during the day it’s okay to walk around as long as you don’t wear jewellery or have phone on display. Just be sensible and at night take a taxi and all good!!

Our room was really nice, bright and comfortable with a good toilet and shower. The bed was comfy and the tv worked. The air con was great and the room was cleaned every day, the pool area is fantastic, one of the nicest pools we’ve had on this side of the world. The staff are friendly and you order delivery from a restaurant, we ordered a family pizza one evening that was absolutely outrageous in size!

The location is god awful, we have stayed in some not so great areas but this one beats them all. Within 10 minutes of leaving our hotel my necklace was snatched from my neck by a passing man on a scooter. It wasn’t anything flashy or experience, just a small silver necklace that had more sentimental value however they took it anyway. Be warned about wearing anything expensive in this area, we were also warned that anywhere here is the same and no jewellery should be worn whilst walking around. We were afraid after this to even have our phone out to take a photo or look on google maps. We were lucky to travel 8 months without feeling this uneasy feeling or even feeling unsafe anywhere, and we may have just been unlucky that day however it did very much impact our experience here.

Cutest little secret. From the street it looked plain, inside it was paradise. Pool was fancy with a perfect ledge for sitting. A decorative stream through the hotel. Staff were so nice-even after I woke them up before 6am. Had a kitchen we could use. AC was strong. Had a friendly cat who enjoyed being pet and a parrot they rescued because of a broken wing.

Be careful in the neighborhood. Just don't have your phone out or purse. Don't carry a lot of valuables. That's for all of Cartagena.

Casa Torices Real 12 is a jewel in the authentic Cartagena neighborhood, where the people are friendly and happy, reflecting the true local culture. The rooms are cleaned daily and have a large and beautiful pool, surrounded by abundant plants that create an atmosphere of paradise. The attention of Diana, Margarita, Jhon and Jesus is exceptional, always willing to help with everything and make you feel at home. I recommend this place 100%, without a doubt, an unforgettable experience!

The place is great for the price it costs. It is not in the city center, but transportation is easy and affordable. The room was comfortable. I would recommend the one with AC. The pool was a super plus.

We did not cook because we did not feel too comfortable with the kitchen, but it is nice to have the option. Also, it is important to take into consideration that the toilet does not have a door.
