Friendly and helpful staff, nice-sized, comfortable room. The swimming pool was lovely and the view of the castle and the city from the poor area is splendid. We really enjoyed our 2-night stay here and would stay again.

It's a pity the pool closes at 7pm, it would great to have the possibilty to enjoy the views a little longer in the evening. We ate at the restaurant the first night (same area where breakfast is served) and the food was ok but not great, could be better. More hot choices at breakfast would also be nice.

The breakfasts were great, the staff were truly fantastic. Some of the best service I have ever encountered. The location facing the old fort was lovely and the pool area facing the fort again was a really nice space. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The wifi worked very well. There's a major shoppng centre directly behind the hotel which expanded on the meal options and provided convenient shopping options. It was very easy to book a DiDi/Uber or just jump into a taxi. Could walk to old town in about 15 minutes and its a pleasant enough walk during the day providing its not too hot. Transport is so cheap though so we didn't really struggle. DO explore the old fort directly opposite, its magical. You can hit it up first thing in the morning because you're so close, the crowds are less and the temperature is more amenable.

There are not too many hang out options in and around the hotel. There are a couple of restaurants on the main street outside but they were all shut every time we felt like a nightcap. So you do have to go into the old city centre or Getsemani for any nightlife and you DO NOT want to walk it at night. The pool is a lot smaller than the photo's might have you believe. LOL!

Excellent location, good breakfast, comfortable and spacious room, nice bathroom. Friendly staff. Overall, the hotel is a very good choice for visiting and staying in Cartagena.

The common areas of the hotel, especially the carpet, create a negative impression and need to be replaced with modern flooring. Аctually, the rooms are nice and in very good condition, but not the common areas. Also, the breakfast room is small for the needs of the hotel. Perhaps an option would be to convert part of the huge terrace and add it to the breakfast area.

The cleanliness, the rooftop pool, very attentive and friendly at reception.. drinks were excellently made - cocktails, iced coffees etc. My airline amended my flight and I had to leave a day early and the hotel did not charge me despite the booking being non refundable. Airport transport was arranged at a reasonable price as well.

The location is fine but it's probably not safe to walk around at night time but to be fair to the hotel this message is clearly given. Hard to fault. Possibly include a couple of more loungers at the pool but space is limited.

Location: Picturesque views of the city and convenient for the fort and modern shopping mall, short (15 min) walk to old town. Staff: friendly and helpful at every opportunity, attentive to our needs (our communication was in Spanish) Food: Breakfast was tasty and with a plethora of cold and hot options as well as a cooked eggs menu included. We ate dinner in the hotel twice and the food was nourishing and tasty. The restaurant is open until 10pm most days except Sunday. Room: Spacious and adequately designed, comfortable beds. Mostly quiet at night. Facilities: pool and terrace with views over the city and fort, ideal for a cocktail and cool down after a hot and sweaty day of sightseeing. A full time concierge available to arrange excursions out of the city, very approachable and professional offering bespoke experiences.

Location: the area around the fort has many peddlers, dirty streets, bad traffic, homelessness and can be dangerous to tourists at night. Security is present outside the hotel and police are usually in and around the fort. Food: it being Columbia we expected the coffee to be a bit nicer, however it was better than you would get in most north American hotels. The restaurant wasn't as cheap as eating out but more convenient. Room: although working the aircon was rattly and not very powerful. The drain in the shower was prone to blockage and flooding the bathroom. The sinks, although aesthetically pleasing, had a square design that meant they didn't drain very well. Facilities: the pool may be smaller than expected, more for bathing than swimming.

Good sized rooms with large comfortable beds. Excellent varied breakfast. Staff were friendly. Modern hotel. Good location just outside of the old town opposite a fort, fantastic views.

Noisy road out of the front of the hotel with frequent "party buses" passing by and waiting outside. The bar bill was frequently wrong with extra drinks being added on. I would suggest checking carefully and paying everyday to avoid issues on check out. The pool needs to be kept clear of drinks and food, I felt the staff should be more proactive in cleaning up after guests.

This is how it should be done. We arrived tired, hot and grumpy after an apartment was cancelled on us, and were immediately offered a delicious cold fruit drink at reception. Check in was a breeze (thank you Henry) and we were shown to our room soon after where everything was explained clearly to us. The room was clean and very spacious with a fantastic view over the road to San Felipe fort, one of Cartagena's major attractions. Proper double glazing kept the noise down. The rooftop terrace and bar was a great place to have dinner and a drink (Jose mixed us a couple of mean Margaritas and gave us a salsa demonstration!). Breakfast was a generous buffet overseen by a very friendly maitre d' who remembered our names each day. There is a rooftop pool to cool off in. Secure underground parking is provided and there is a lift from the carpark. We walked into the old city, which takes about ten or fifteen minutes, or a taxi is fifteen thousand pesos. There's a huge shopping mall right behind the hotel if you've forgotten anything. All this is great, but the stand out feature is the staff, who were so friendly, helpful and fun and that is what elevates a good hotel to an excellent one.

The breakfast is modest and nice. Served from 07:30 to 10:30.

The hotel is right in front of the San Felipe strait. Close to the mall. These days it's nice to be close to the center of things. Compared to at night the area becomes scary with the homeless and drunks walking around. Don't walk around the area alone at night. There is a guard watching over the hotel building for me.

Front desk staff very attentive, professional, polite. Roberto was a top tier gentleman. My first time here in columbia, and I am in love ❤️ . Juan is taxi driver will take you anywhere and super sweet. The breakfast spread was extensive fresh press juices, cereal, eggs, pancake, columbia selective foods. There's a small selection for vegan's which is very thoughtful.

The only thing that I can say is I would've like a microwave to heat up food when you want to bring food to snack on later my husband always have a lil something in evening.

Breakfast very filling and a good mix of local vs European. Beds extremely comfortable and room had excellent air conditioning. We were given a disabled room which was very dark and had little access to natural light (though had very large shower and lots of long side rails - neither of us needed them but appreciate it is nice for disabled guests.

The lighting was very minimal, and there was no natural light in the room.
