The staff, the location, all is new inside the rooms. The rooftop restaurant was good but with a small menu and the café restaurant for breakfast was good too but very poor menu as well.

Rooms are not well isolated for the noise coming from the outside. I only spent 1 nigth in a regular room (#606) and the noise woke me up at 4am as traffic started at that time. I asked to be moved to another room with a better noise isolation and the only option I got was to upgrade my reservation to a front room with balcony as those are located the more far from the big avenue st the back. I got room 801 for 8 nights and they charged me the fees for the upgrade which ended up costing me almost the double that I budgeted for this holiday...

I was very much pleased with almost everything, but I would like to highlight the attention and cordiality given by the staff, especially in regards to suggestions on what to do, where to go in Medellín and beyond, etc. Thank you very much :)

For the most part, everything went perfect. If I had to point some inconvenients, I would say that the pipes are very loud, so when someone nearby is taking a shower, the noise can get extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, since the painting on the restaurant entrance has faded off with time, the restaurant's schedule is unclear unless you look it up online, or ask at the hotel. It is a tremendously minor detail, but hopefully it can be fixed so it does not lead to more confusions.

Very modern and clean hotel. Staff are all very accommodating. Had the best WiFi we’ve experienced in South America too.

We had a small issue with the rain making the floor wet outside our room and slightly into the room but we asked to change and all was fine.

The location is terrific, only a few minutes to Calle 70, and a short walk to Primer Parque y Segundo Parque and related restaurants & bars. Not to mention some great places immediately around the hotel. Room was super comfortable with everything required and also great variety of breakfast options. Highlight for me are the staff - everyone is so friendly and caring and proved the point when I had an unexpected medical episode. The staff could not have done enough and really made me feel looked after literally like I was surrounded by friends for which I am so indebted.

Nothing to change, Sonata 44 will become my new go to on Medellín

This is a new, well maintained small hotel in an excellent location. They ae still finishing the rooms on the top (10th) floor. It's 5 minutes' walk to the Estadio metro terminal and a block and a half from the center of Laurels Calle 70 area. The staff, especially John, was fantastic and very helpful. I was originally scheduled to move to two other hotels for the rest of my stay in Medellin, but Sonata 44 was so nice I stayed a full 7 days. I highly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was adequate -- which is actually a big step up from most hotels I considered. If that could be even slightly improved this would be the perfect hotel for Medellin.

EVERYTHING. It was one of the best stays ever and we felt very comfortable and safe. Loved the staff and how friendly, helpful and respectful they were. So welcoming of us tourists. Absolutely amazing breakfast each and every morning, lovely room service every day and amazing staff to welcome us whenever we came back from our activities in the night. We were so satisfied during our entire stay and loved that any question we had or request we had they were able to fulfill. Definitely coming back and staying here!!

Breafast. There is a restaurant in the hotel that the hotel cooperates with and offers breakfasts in the price of the stay. The portions are really very small, fresh squeezed orange juice which is on the menu is never there, and the hot chocolate tastes like a bottle of water with a spoon of cocoa. It would be good if the hotel managers talked to the restaurant managers

We had a fantastic experience at Sonata 44 Laureles. The room with the tub was exactly as described- with a super comfortable bed, and perfect for unwinding after a day out. The location is ideal, as it’s within walking distance of La 70, offering easy access to the vibrant nightlife without being in the middle of the noise. I also appreciated the complimentary coffee and water in the lobby. The service was outstanding, with special thanks to John Edison, who handled our check-in and check-out seamlessly and provided excellent recommendations for exploring the city. His attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made our stay memorable. Highly recommended!

Because we had so many restaurant close by, this was truly not a problem, but when they open the restaurant on site and offer a more varied breakfast they will be a 10!

The hotel seems to be newly built, thus it is stylish with the amenities you find in the USA minus a gym: Laureles can be a noisy area until 3 am, stay away from the hotels on are very near Carerra 70 south of the Esatdio metro station. While this area is very fun and easily acessable from this property, the hotels on that street are temptingly cheap but very noisey even with the best ear plugs. We got the one of the spa suites at the Sonata 44, it is an interior room with the only window being for ventilation of the bath/shower. The room was quiet at night, good air conditioning with elevator service to the floor. The front desk staff speak better English than the community in general, they were consistently friendly and very welcoming. The Estadio metro ststion is a ten minute walk and shoutouts to the Varua spa 2 minutes away.

This property has a very local feel and surrounding. We never felt unsafe. If we stay elsewhere on our next visit it would be so that we could enjoy the late nightlife in other more touristy neighborhoods.

Everything was spectacular. The people and the services incredible. The experience we have when we get there was unique. In the Lobby Stefania and John was very attentive and super helpful. In the breakfast was Alexandra and Claudia and they gave us great service and were super attentive to us. The hotel is close to 70th Street, where there are a variety of restaurants and nightclubs. You will find the best prices for food in that area. The Poblado is super close, about 20 mi. The breakfast was super. And very good.
