Comfy room, no air-con but the fan worked well. Nice to have the kitchen as an option to cook if you wanted to or just make a cup of tea. Enjoyed the trail at the back of the property following the yellow arrows for a walk into the town which was more scenic than going up the main road although the main road does have a good pavement. Hotel staff were helpful in organising excursions and transfers - we did a day at El Tigre waterfalls and also the night walk and really enjoyed it.

Quite a lot of traffic noise and also the wind when we were staying here so a bit of a disturbed sleep. We were disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open for lunch or dinner which seemed to be advertised on the pictures when booking. The staff at breakfast were friendly and it was pretty good however a bit odd that one day we turned up and it wasn’t open until after 9am when the guests who had breakfast included said they would be going, so would make sure to let the reception know when you want breakfast.

Staying at this family-run hotel was an absolute delight! The standout feature for us was undoubtedly the warmth and hospitality of the owners. They were not only friendly but incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. The rooms were comfortable and the atmosphere was welcoming and inclusive. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and friendly place to stay.

The room was very clean. Also, when we arrived, Pablo (staff) was super friendly and helpful with all kinds of information (paid tours, free walks, places to eat, etc). 5 stars to his professionalism.

We reserved breakfast for the 1st morning. Nobody informed us in the previous night that the kitchen closed at 9am. Then on the day, a WhatsApp was sent at 8:30am informing about the kitchen closing time, but we only saw it at 9am. We arrived at the breakfast area at 9:05 and they mentioned the kitchen was closed and the breakfast couldn’t be served anymore. That’s a shame as we expected a bit more flexibility.

It was very good value for money. The host was AMAZING, she spoke perfect English, helped book taxis, book tours and did our laundry when requested in under 12 hours. The site is well kept and the room was sparkling. It was next to a supermarket, the best burger van and only a 20 min walk into the main town. Absolutely nothing bad to report! Thank you for having us !

The property was clean, reception staff were helpful and friendly. It was a good stay for 3 nights.

The location is not so great, it was out of Santa Elena. Also, the included breakfast was very little and not the best quality.

Nice place to stay. It is a bit out of the city center - 4 minute drive by car or 15-20 minutes walking (uphill). Rooms were nice and clean, and the hammock is nice.

Don't expect a nice view, it is surrounded by fences and a lot of other buildings

Pablo was really helpful. He treated us as if we were really close friends. He gave us a lots of tips for everything. It’s well located, out of the rush of Monteverde, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The common kitchen has all the equipment needed to cook whatever you want.

It is really good located. Rooms are nice and the kitchen and leisure area is great. The best thing are the hosts, so friendly and helpful, they organized all the activities for us and gave us really good recommendations.

Nothing beyond the typical inadequate supply of hooks and outlets. Breakfast was very slow, but that should change in February, when the breakfast building opens up as a proper restaurant.

The Guy running the hotel is very knowledgable about moteverde and gave us great advice and recommendations on where to go. He also took us to the center as we did not have a car. Overall he was very approachable and was able to help with various things. He even called the police to make sure that the guy which bothered us at the ficus tree could not get us in trouble(he tried to scam us and then threatened to call the police)… For the price we payed the service was extraordinary. We stayed in various hotels and hostels and this was easily the most comfortable we felt when engaging with staff.

The rooms are not that great. The building is not well insulated so it is loud throughout the day especially in the rooms close to the street. BUT at night the roads are empty and you can sleep perfectly as the beds are good.
