This hotel is newly refurbished and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast was lovely, and there was a great selection, including gluten-free options. Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on a quiet road about 5-10 minutes walk from Lapad restaurants, bars, and sunset beach. The no 6 bus is located approximately 200 metres up the road, and it goes into the old town every 10 minutes. There is a shop near the bus stop. It is also close to Gruz Port, where you can get a ferry to Hvar. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has beautiful interior design, is newly renovated inside, and very clean and well-maintained. It feels modern and inviting. • The staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We felt welcomed right from check-in. • The breakfast buffet was excellent – large, varied, and fresh, with many hot and cold options. • Great location: the ferry terminal is nearby if you take an Uber. • It’s also easy to reach the Old Town by bus or Uber in just a few minutes.

• The soundproofing wasn’t optimal – we could occasionally hear noise from the hallway or other rooms. • The hotel’s photos on Google Maps are misleading, as several of them show what it looked like before the renovation. • The exterior renovation of the balconies is not yet complete, which affects the overall impression compared to the beautifully renovated interior.

What a charming place. The staff is exceptionally well trained and friendly. I have food allergies, and they went out of their way to accommodate. Our room was large and beautiful... plus a big patio. The shower system had great water pressure and was at the perfect temperature. The hotel's location was great for us. It is on a city bus route, so the walled city was a 10 min ride. The marina is within an easy walk. There are lots of neighborhood restaurants all around. (For the record, the food was so good at the Hotel's restaurant, we ate dinner there often.)

We had a good stay at the hotel with my family, we got 2 adjacent rooms which was a plus. Comfortable and clean rooms, I was a bit worried reading some reviews but we had a enjoyable and relaxing 2 nights. The hotel is located in Lapad which is about 10mins bus ride to the centre, which is easily accessible by taking bus 6 which is very frequent every 10mins to Old town which is the heart of Dubrovnik and walking distance to lapad promenade and new sea port There are many super markets and bakeries if you want to grab some yummy Burek (personal favourite were the meat and potato) there is also Cheese

We didn't have a problem, but some people may find the uphill climb of 5 mins a bit tiring, but it is a good work out 😉

Breakfast was rich, mostly same things every day but enough diversity to not get bored. Lots of fish, fruits and veggies. Rooms were well equipped and clean. Staff was always helpful. I got a double balcony room next to my co-travelers, even though I had paid for a single no balcony room. Also, location is a healthy compromise between the Uvala Lapad beach and the new Batala port (tavern area) and close to the bus stop taking you to the old city. They gave us free dinner vouchers for the first evening as a reward for staying for 7 nights.

We got street facing rooms but after first night you get used to the occasional traffic. One of the guys at the reception acted kind of indifferent when we complained about the traffic and asked for back facing rooms next morning. He said they were fully booked and that we got the renovated rooms so we should feel lucky, considering back facing rooms had to deal with hotel ventilation noises instead. I just had to take his word for it, no idea if he meant it. Also, one of our rooms had a legally protected bird's nest on some corner of the balcony so it would sound the wake up call for the people in the morning. You will have to pay for drinks, even plain water, if you're having dinner there. It's silly, but there you have it. Breakfast, though, is entirely free.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Dubrovnik! The room was lovely, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I could need for a comfortable stay. One of the standout features was the spacious parking spot—very convenient for travelers with a car, as parking can be challenging in Dubrovnik. The breakfast each morning was a treat, with a delicious variety of options that catered to different tastes. The location was ideal: set in a peaceful area, yet only a quick, easy bus ride to the bustling Old City. This place is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy Dubrovnik’s beauty in comfort and tranquility. Highly recommended!"

Everything was very nice.

Clean, modern rooms. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was great. Friendly staff. Location is decent enough depending on what kind of activities you want to do.

Biggest minus is that the AC was not adjustable. We wanted to adjust the AC lower to sleep better, but after contacting the reception a couple of times it seemed like adjusting it wasn't possible. In my opinion, the rooms are because of this a bit too warm, and personally sleeping comfort is maybe the most important thing when picking a hotel. Would not stay here again because of this, but other than that everything was great.

Overall, the hotel is quite clean. The room we had was surprisingly very spacious, and the beds were large and comfortable. They also cleaned our room and changed our towels everyday (although they didn't need to). The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet had variety and was quite good and hearty.

Since we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children, we were assigned a large room in the old part of the hotel, and the toilet was not fixed to the floor (the screw they put to hold it down was lose), but everything else in the bathroom was working perfectly. We saw that the twin rooms were modern and renovated.

The woman at the front desk (she was working the afternoon we checked in and also the next morning) was so friendly and helpful. She made us feel welcome, answered all my questions with a smile, and improved our experience!

The location wasn't ideal since it was hard to get to Old Town and that's the place we wanted to go for restaurants and sightseeing. We did manage to get there on the bus and by Uber but it would have been nice to have more restaurants within easy walking distance.

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Ivka in Dubrovnik. Here are some of the highlights and drawbacks: Amazing Location: The hotel is situated in a prime area, with many popular beaches within walking distance. It’s perfect for those who love spending time by the sea. Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast at Hotel Ivka was a highlight of our stay. There was a wide variety of options available, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. It was a great way to start the day, with plenty of fresh and delicious choices. Convenient Parking: There’s parking available within the hotel premises, which is a great convenience for guests with cars. Nearby Amenities: The hotel is located right next to a grocery store and a supermarket, making it easy to pick up any essentials during your stay. Helpful Staff: The staff were friendly and always willing to assist with any requests!!

Small and Overpriced Room: The room felt overpriced for what it offered. It did not have a window, which made it feel even more cramped. The room lacked a small refrigerator, which would have been a minimal investment for the hotel and there was enough space to accommodate one. We stayed for 4 days during a heatwave, with temperatures exceeding 35°C. The lack of basic amenities like a refrigerator and complimentary water made this quite uncomfortable. This was especially inconvenient given the hot weather. No Complimentary Water: We arrived dehydrated from the airport, and the hotel did not offer even a glass of water. There was no water provided in the room either. This is something they need to improve in their service.
