Great location, good character, comfortable bed, great shower. We didn’t get breakfast as we walked into the Centre for breakfast each day Stayed three nights and would highly recommend. I think some of the negative comments in the reviews are from people who haven’t travelled before or used to staying in a main hotel chain, as this has character and run by a couple of people and not hundreds so have the right expectations and you will have a great stay.

Parking was about a 5 min walk away in a parking garage but that was fine as we expected it

Room was lovely, comfortable bed, clean, good location in the old town. Staff were great when there, really friendly and happy to give recommendations etc for the area

Unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes to access the room when we arrived. Not the end of the world as there was space to wait outside and the weather was good but a little frustrating given I had been in contact about arrival time throughout the day. If the reception isn't manned at all times, the host should think about contactless check in for the rooms by way of keybox with code or similar.

Location excellent- max. 10 mins walk to Diocletians Palace and restaurants. Historical area, full of windy streets, not a lot of cars as too narrow - taxi drop off was 5 mins walk away. Comfortable bed

Bit of confusion about hotel name - Historic Plaza hotel and Heritage Palace hotel seem to be one and the same hotel. Had to pay a deposit prior to visit by email link - this was ok but would have preferred the deposit to be taken directly by booking.com

Very nice and helpful staff. The day before arrival information from the reception about possible help with transfer from the airport. Mrs. Inna and Maria always willing to help. The location of the hotel 5 minutes walk to the historical center of Split in a quiet and peaceful area. The room is nicely decorated with a large bathroom. It was very nice. We will definitely visit this place again.

The location is perfect, far enough back from the main Marina to be quiet at night but only a 5 minute walk to all the bars and restaurants. Rooms are beautifully rustic and in keeping with the area, staff went above and beyond, extremely friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The rooms were beautiful and so well taken care of! It was a perfect location to explore split. The staff was so nice and gave us a free upgrade upon arrival to a room with sea view! Everything was perfect we will definitely be back!

A beautiful small hotel, full of history just like the area it’s located in. The room was excellent, very clean, and the girls at the reception were friendly, smiling, and welcoming. A big yes from us 😍

PLEASE NOTE: This rating is for Galeria Valeria, the sister hotel for Historic Plaza Varos Split. We were transferred and booked in there because construction work had disrupted access and water supply. The Galeria Valeria’s manager Ana went out of her way to give us top class customer service and also upgraded our room.

The hotel is at the center of Old Town Split . It has a very friendly and welcoming staff ( esspecialy Anna ) . I would recommend . The rooms were nice and well decorated ( nice bathroom also ) .

It was a very charming, unique hotel. The hotel manager, Inna, was wonderful.

Parking was a bit of a challenge. It was recommended to park in a local public lot, but I had extreme difficulty paying for the parking. I ended up getting a ticket.
