My stay at Agava Lux was amazing. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. I also loved the location (I was about 30 seconds walk from the main restaurants). My room was incredibly clean and comfy and had all the facilities I could possibly need - the air con was a life saver in the heat. I also got vouchers to use for breakfast at a restaurant and the food here was so good.

The only thing that I didn’t like about the property was the steps up to my room, which in the 40 degree heat were a little bit hard to walk up. I also thought the name is a little misleading as you expect the pool to be at this complex but it is at the sister hotel which is a 5 minute walk away so I didn’t really mind when I got used to it.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. The room was cleaned daily and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was incredible as it is located in the heart of Split and was walking distance to all the shops, bars, and restaurants. It was also quiet at night. The pool space was great and only a short walk from our hotel.

The room was very good value for money. We got what we paid for and more. The only thing to mention is the room we stayed in was on the top floor of the hotel and so there were a lot of stairs to climb. Also, the hairdryer kept over heating so needs replacing.

Amazing little heritage hotel, super comfortable and clean and the most ideal location. I would love to stay again and would recommend it to all my friends. The pool area was a huge highlight and I didn’t mind it was two buildings at all. I was more than happy to do the short walk to the main building as it was in such a nice local spot. The pool always had sunbeds and the reception staff were super nice!

The housekeeper was pretty rude and I’m not sure why - I get the feeling she just didn’t like guests. She burst into my room without knocking one morning at 8:30am whilst I was still in bed, and then on the day of my check out banged on the door at 10:31am (no exaggeration) when check out was at 10:30am telling me to leave I was stood there behind the door holding the key with my bag on my back totally confused. Never experienced anything like that. Aside from that a perfect stay and I would have given it a 10/10.

The location was fantastic - so close to the centre and yet it was quiet of an evening and a really safe area. The pool was lovely and you could always get a sunbed. My husband became very ill while we were there and Philip on reception was fabulous. He called a doctor, arranged for a room for us even though we had checked out and organised a taxi back from the hospital for me. I would definitely recommend this place!

Friendly and helpful staff at the main hotel where the reception and pool is. Pool was very clean and quiet. Room was in a separate but very central location. Room was clean and well decorated. Aircon was really good. Good quality breakfast at a restaurant nearby. All good value for money. This is definitely a good pick if you are looking for a central room, but are planning to be out exploring for most of your trip. I had a lovely time in Split.

The room, pool, and breakfast were all in different locations around the town. The room was in a building where not all rooms linked to Agava hotel. Noisy neighbours and no reception in the building to investigate (although I did speak to someone on the phone). Bathroom was very small. I would ask to stay in the main hotel where the pool was if I went again.

Our room was clean, comfortable and right in the heart off Split so the location was wounderful. The rooms are in a old building with lots off charm. Tv, kettle and safe in the room. Cleaned daily by cleaners. We used the hotel swimming pool on a hot sunny day. They provided towels. Fast food places just a step outside the rooms. Right by the Rivera strip of resurants and shops over looking the sea.

The location was fantastic

I stayed in a loft room, which was perfectly fine for a one-night stay. However, my experience was let down by the behavior of the cleaner. Checkout was at 10am (to the best of my memory), and just as I was opening the door to leave, on time, I was met with aggressive knocking and shouting, telling me to get out. As a solo traveler, this was quite unsettling and unnecessary. It really affected what was otherwise a decent stay.

Really central location. The staff were absolutely amazing. I was travelling alone with 2 young children and they went above and beyond to help. There was a man on reception that helped me organise leaving on a slightly earlier ferry to stari grad than originally planned. He was so helpful and kind to us. He organised a rickshaw to come pick us up (who was also so fantastic - I need to leave him a review also!). He helped load us on to the rickshaw, carrying bags and helping with the children all with a smile on his face and such kindness! Agava is lucky to have such outstanding staff. Thank you so much for making our first night and day in Croatia such a magical and positive experience!

The location is unbeatable right in the heart of Split with everything on your door step! The host was great and very helpful to questions we had. Room was lovely, full of character! Breakfast was also great at a local cafe round the corner.

Be aware there are 3 sets of stairs to the rooms if you have big suitcases, we didn’t realise the pool was a 5 min walk away, but no real complaints more just points to be aware of as the stay was great.

The location was nearby everything which was great. The staff were very helpful with everything. Would be back!

We had a family with kids staying above us and we could hear them running around for hours. We informed the staff about this as it went on for 4+ hours and furniture was being moved around. Unfortunately, it didn't stop but they checked out the following day which resolved the issue
