The hotel is superbly located in the centre of Old City of Split, with easy access to all Split has to offer. Loved the décor and especially the lounge on the 1st floor. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and have everything you would expect from a high end hotel. Excellent table service breakfast with choice. Very well prepared and tasty. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive (thank you!).

We had a wonderful stay at the Marmont Heritage Hotel in Split! The service was exceptional, and the accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. We especially loved the spacious shower and the delicious breakfast that was included each morning. A huge thank you to Marija at the front desk, who went above and beyond to help us—especially with coordinating for our big family group. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and full of great local recommendations. The location couldn’t be better—just steps from the Riva, amazing restaurants, and Diocletian’s Palace. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Split!

It is a beautiful hotel in the perfect location. Just a short walk to everything along the water or in the palace. Breakfast was very nice in the onsite restaurant. The onsite cocktail bar was also perfect for a mid-afternoon glass of wine to beat the heat.

There is no direct taxi drop off. Luckily we travel light, but I can imagine that people with larger or multiple bags might have issues getting to the hotel from either of the taxi drop off points.

The hotel is in a great location, perfect for visiting the old centre and the surrounding area, and an easy walk to ferries and the bus/train station. Public busses are close by. The hotel feels new, clean and beautifully presented. Our room was large and comfortable, with nice facilities, good storage and an opening window onto a quiet street. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fresh and tasty with an extensive choice of food. The restaurant staff are charming. We ate in the hotel one night and the food and service were excellent. The beef stew and gnocchi which is apparently a local dish was delicious.

Difficult to get bags to and from hotel. Hotel relies too much on great receptionist/ and concierge. Need a porter to help you get bags to car or taxi which is several long blocks away. At high priced hotel and unique situation of old city with limited car access this should be service hotel automatically provides Besides this all was great

Maria at the front desk was the highlight of our stay. She is exceptional. She was pleasant and always helpful. She met me at my taxi and helped me with my luggage when I arrived and ordered our departure taxi and helped me with my luggage again. She was always pleasant and helpful. The other people that worked at the front desk were not so pleasant and acted like I was bothering them when I asked a question. We would wait for Maria to return to ask any further questions.

It was one of the 4-star hotels with a convenient price/quality ratio for the days I stayed in Split. The location of the hotel was good: even though it's on a narrow street, it's in the middle of the Old Town and most of the landmarks of the city are within walking distance. It's easy to reach the hotel by walking from the bus station as well. The receptionist's communication with me was okay. The breakfast service was good enough. The wireless Internet connection was satisfactory. My room was huge. The bathroom was full of high-quality amenities. There was a kettle tray set in the room. The minibar was full of delicious snacks and beverages, and they were not so expensive. My bed was so comfortable. The A/C was working perfectly.

A few minor cons: I couldn't get what it was, but my room was smelling something like curry. Fortunately it wasn't a very strong smell, so I could tolerate it. The glass separator of the tube in the bathroom was too small.

The staff was very responsive to questions regarding services and restaurants prior to arrival. The location of the property was perfect for exploring Split, the restaurant staff was very polite and hard working. The breakfast included was very nice and we appreciated the coffee pods free of charge in the room.

We arrived one hour after the allowed check in time and there was one couple checking in ahead of us. We were asked to wait in the bar and the receptionist did not retrieve us for 50 minutes. It seemed it was an effort to make guests spend money at the bar, as my husband checked once during that time and she was not assisting anyone else and two other couples had been directed to the bar as well to wait.

Wonderful location within the old town close to Diocletian’s Palace and the waterfront. Easy access to transport and no steps or hills to access the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful, beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for suitcases. Wifi and air conditioning were excellent. Breakfast was good.

It can be a little difficult navigating the narrow lanes and alleys and finding your way to and from the hotel. Best take a direction finder with you.

What I liked most about the hotel was its perfect location in the heart of the old town, just steps away from Diocletian’s Palace. The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy, the staff were incredibly helpful, and the breakfast was a real highlight of my stay.

Sometimes it could get a bit noisy due to sounds from the street outside, but overall it was a great experience.
