A charming hotel in the old town of Split, the location is very handy to walk most places and tucked in a quieter area for a peaceful night's sleep. The rooms were comfy and clean and the beds, particularly the sheets were great, air con was a plus too. The staff were very pleasant and generally we had a great stay.

We often ran out of hot water when we showered, I assume given the age of the building it works from a tank and was used up by other guests. Not much of an issue but just something to be aware of if you like long showers. Some of the finer details I'd expect from a 'luxury hotel' could be improved- we weren't provided any milk or whitener for coffee in the room and when we used tea bags/coffee it wasn't replenished during cleans, neither was the mini bar. Nothing major but a little more attention to details like this would be good.

Good variety of breakfast foods and drinks including cooked eggs/bacon/sausage, various fresh fruits, cheeses and breads. My room had very effective air-con which was essential during the recent hot spell and the pool, although small, was very welcome and refreshing. I had a kettle, fridge, TV and hairdryer in the room plus a comfortable bed and very effective shower. Toiletries were provided. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent within the wonderful old town area with many superb eating options nearby.

The only improvement would be hand-rails on the stairs.

We stayed in Split for a long girls weekend with my mother, her friend and mine. Everything about our stay was beyond perfect. The hotel was stunning, with everything we could have needed. The location was great, down some beautiful quiet streets with restaurants around. Close to the main areas without being directly on top of it. It was beautifully decorated throughout with that spa smell. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel, great for vegetarians as well. The spa area was also gorgeous as well as the outdoor space. You booked an hour slot at the spa so had it all to yourself. The staff at the hotel really made it - they were so lovely and became friends by the time we left! They couldn’t have made us feel more welcomed and at home. It feels like a really loved, family run place and there is nowhere else we would stay in Split. I have already recommended it to my friends and family and we can’t wait to stay again.

The location is fantastic, and the pool was perfect, we had a lovely holiday in Split due in large part to this excellent hotel.

This is a caution to vegans going to Croatia in general. Staff are very accommodating but have no idea what vegan is, breakfasts in every hotel we stayed at were not great for vegans, but perfect for meat-eaters.

ok. simple stuff. Hotel was great . No complaints about anything of importance. however, not going to put it in the negatives ,but may be helpful to be aware of this if driving to this location . its up narrow back lanes in Split. You have no parking or possibility to park close to the hotel.If you have luggage to cart up that's a nightmare, we had to illegally double park close as we could and to be fair a staff member came and helped me with the luggage , also google maps had a complete meltdown finding the location up these lanes which resulted in me wandering round confused in back lanes of Split into private homes etc trying to find it (All while illegally parked).So it may be worth really doing your research in order to get there stress free. There is no lift so you'll also be carting the luggage up stairs depending on your floor your on. Parking in Split had us grossly unprepared, we ended up putting the car in a big car park near the hotel which cost €60 ultimately until we took it out (that was for approx 12 hours) and reassessed what we needed to do to park elsewhere. So I'll help you here , through trial and error we worked it out and ended up driving approx 15 mins walk out of town and parking in a spot we didnt need to pay at , but we had spent a lot of money and stress at that point. So just do it as soon as you get there and check in, Apparently the blue spaces on the harbour front are free and the yellow ones you must pay, but we didnt get any of this info until the day we were going , so maybe do some research before arriving by car, we found it a nightmare for parking frankly . otherwise its a good location

breakfast was a fiasco both days with one coffee machine having a major wobble and shutting down with 6 people queuing to use it , the toaster had a moment too attempting to self immolate. My advise would be get breakfast outside there is a nice place close by that does the likes of pancakes and decent coffee

Hotel was great, clean and fantastic location! Staff were lovely and very helpful- even getting us alternative milk for breakfast when we explained we were vegan. The penthouse room is definitely worth it with a private terrace for sunbathing. Would definitely recommend!!

Only having one iron available for the whole hotel isn’t ideal and could be easily fixed by putting one in each room. Our aircon also stopped working for a couple of nights but the staff were quick to fix it which was helpful.

Location- EXCELLENT! This is within the old town residential area but most of properties within the neighbourhood’s are apartment too. Less than a minute walk, you will be surrounded by restaurants ( we did not eat within this area because the price is overinflated, I recommend “FIFE” as its authentic dalmatian cuisine and half the price! This is less than 10 mins walk from the hotel. Hotel is 2 mins walk from Republic square and Riva and main OLD TOWN area. Room- we were upgraded to a bigger room, which was a nice touch. Separated toilet. Shower walls are glass, see through. OK for couples. there is a curtain you can cover the glass with but there was not a door. Water can sometimes splash outside the shower. Mini bar available with some soft drinks etc. if you want. Non inclusive of room. There is a kettle and some tea/sugar/instant coffee/ cups/glass etc. No phone in the room. You have a choice whether to get your room clean or not via door sign. Couple if times, hot water from shower stopped but rest of our stay was fine. Breakfast- usual selections of hot and cold selections, salads, cheese, cold meats. Only 1 coffee machine but wont take long to wait, but i can only imagine this might be challenging if the hotel is full house. Same breakfast selections everyday, but that seems to be standard in most hotels. Reception- when we got there, we had to buzz in and no one answered. We had to ring usinv our mobile phones to call the reception area and it was then someone opened the door, but after checking in, a card was provided us for access. Receptionist and staff are all nice and polite and respectful.We technically checked out night before as we had to leave early. The morning of our check out, there was nobody manning the reception and we luckily found a staff in the outdoor kitchen, she said she would need to ring someone to come and deal with us as it is too early.but we reassured her that we only wanted to return the key card.

Not so much that we did not like but more of a suggestion. For a four star hotel, they can atleast offer hot drinks facilities from machine in the dining area. Although there is a kettle in the room, you are limited witg what you can make. Unsure about the 24/7 cover of receptionist. Please note that there is no car access infront of the hotel so your taxi will drop you off to the nearesg road, it is not a long walk byt be mindful of this if you have luggages. We did not try the pool, spa facilities so cant comment on this, apparently 15 euros for 1 hr to use, but it was lovely to have breakfast by the pool

The hotel was super cozy, our room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. The window was very well insulated, we heard no noise from outside, even though we were in the city center, at easy walking distance from restaurants and the major tourist sites. All the staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. The pool was great. While there were not enough sunbeds for all guests, but I think it's no problem, because all guests seemed to have different needs - we were mostly away during the day and often relaxed by the pool after dinner at night, which at that time was wonderfully quiet. We recommend the Hugo cocktails! We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel!

We found the hotel quite expensive, but it seems that prices have really gone up a lot for hotels everywhere, so perhaps it is our perception. We were glad to spend a bit more on a really nice hotel, it was worth it!

The staff, especially Ana and Bronco are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty with lots of variety for everyone. We will definitely be back next year . Debra and Brian from Ireland 🇮🇪

I recently had the pleasure of spending a week at the Sperone Hotel in Split, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the hotel's perfect location. It was ideally situated in a quiet area, providing a peaceful atmosphere, yet it was still right in the middle of the city. We were only a two-minute walk from the harbor, which made exploring Split incredibly convenient. Additionally, the beach was just a 15-minute walk away, allowing us to enjoy both the city's vibrant energy and the serene coastline with ease. The entire week was filled with exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, always helpful, and displayed a level of mindfulness and discretion that truly elevated our stay. Every interaction was professional yet warm, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our time there. Breakfast each morning was perfect—thoughtfully prepared with attention to detail, ensuring that we had the best start to our day. The staff made every effort to provide a top-tier experience, which we noticed and greatly appreciated. The spa at the hotel was another highlight. It was intimate, well-maintained, and offered a lovely retreat for relaxation. A special shoutout to the colleague with the white shoes from Bordo he was absolutely amazing. I’d also like to send greetings to the woman with blonde curly hair; her professionalism and kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. Lastly, the biggest thank you goes to our favorite host, Branco. You were exceptional, and we’re incredibly grateful for your kindness and attention.
