The location is fantastic for the old town as everything is walkable. Having a pool was fantastic and it was lovely to relax in comfortable surroundings near our room after a hot day, especially as we were staying in Split for 10 days and it was incredibly hot. Very clean hotel and also had character. Would recommend.

Slight downside for us is that with most other people staying for short periods we had a number of mornings/nights when people were arriving/leaving very early/late from the room directly above and they always made a lot of noise. We also had an issue with one of the two rooms we booked not being quite as expected. However, it was resolved to our satisfaction by the manager/owner. We would recommend for short or slightly longer stay.

A great location in the old town, the pool area although small was a great facility to have for a quick dip and a bit of R&R. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was a treat served less than a 5 minute walk away at a lovely restaurant overlooking the waters edge.

My only issue was we had booked a room for 3 adults and although it would have suited quite well 2 adults and a child, the extra bed was not really suitable for an adult. The room however was lovely decorated, finished well, Rituals toiletries and exceptionally clean. Although the room did not have a balcony there was easy access to a lovely shared terrace that was quiet and furnished well.

A beautiful old building which has been renovated very nicely. We loved having the pool to relax and cool off in after a hot day. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Showers excellent. The breakfast at the restaurant nearby was excellent- the French Toast was amazing.

On arrival we didn’t appear to have been allocated the correct room we had booked- we had booked a deluxe triple and were allocated a double with a pull out bed- far too small for 3 adults to share. After speaking with reception this was easily resolved. The pull out bed is not the most comfortable for a tall teenager, but was manageable as we were only staying 3 nights.

This hotel was perfectly located and charming. It was very close to the sights and restaurants. Front desk staff were helpful when asked for info about sights, places to eat etc. The rooms were a decent size and very clean and comfortable. We did not use the pool but it was in a lovely setting with flowering plants. If it was hotter and I had more time I would have taken advantage of it. Parking was available but it was not right next to the hotel. You need to get to the hotel by foot as it is in a pedestrian only area. I did so and the person at the front desk was very helpful. She gave us directions to the garage and met us there to make sure the pass worked. She even helped us with our luggage. Advice: If you reserve parking with them, call when you get close by the hotel and they will give you instructions and will meet you at the garage if they can. It's not far away but pack light!

I would have preferred to have breakfast available at the hotel rather than at a nearby restaurant but it seems to be a common arrangement in Split and Dubrovnik. The restaurant breakfast was good but I like the convenience of having the meal in the hotel.

A cute little boutique hotel in such a great location. A short walk to Diocletian’s palace and the old town but situated in an area which is one of the older parts of Split (so has stunning old houses all around). You can also find lovely restaurants in the area that are much less touristy than in the palace. We ate at Konoba Duboka Ladovina (aka Deep Shade) twice and it was delicious. We also ate at Feel Green nearby. Great coffee and delicious food. Very small place so go early! The hotel has lovely appointed rooms - ours was top floor (but one of the staff took our bags up and down for us - appreciated!). We had views across to the old town. Stunning. There’s also a pool which is so needed in the height of summer. Extremely friendly and helpful staff in this family run hotel. Highly recommend. You are also close to the walkway up to the viewpoint above Split called Marjan - well worth the walk. Thank you for making our stay so great!

This place was amazing! I booked more based on practicalities - location, pool, room for us and room for the teenage kids. This place was just fantastic. Pool was a great place to come and relax after being in the heat of the town. Location was fantastic to walk into the old town for dinner. The rooms were lovely. We had the top floor which had two bedrooms and a bathroom which suited our family of 4 wonderfully. Staff were so friendly. Thinking of booking a return trip next year. Thank you Hotel Agava - we had a lovely time with you!!

No car access so you have to park in car park off site and walk in with luggages (most hotels are like this in split) Room 2 (ours) was on ground floor next to reception but was still very quiet and comfortable. Watch it as room 1 has no windows to the outside Breakfast is outsourced to a location 3 minutes away on foot

The staff were exceptional from our 1st welcome to our final goodbyes. The location was perfect for our visit in easy reach of all the bars and restaurants along the front and in town as well as some hidden gems we found along the way. Close to the old town for sightseeing and the harbour where a ferry or boat excursion is available to take you to close-by islands. The hotel has just 13 rooms in 2 buildings,so although compact the property is also very personal. Our choice of bed and breakfast meant a short walk to a local restaurant for breakfast, the selection was varied, cooked fresh and served to our table where we could sit overlooking the promenade and watch the locals and tourists alike go about their morning activities.

We are not needy guests so therefore as far as we are concerned everything was great.

The staff was very friendly and provided a great recommendation for food. They were able to provide a parking spot nearby. The room was comfortable and had a wonderful view. The location was close to everything we wanted to see but also quiet.

Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable and clean, attractive building. Great location near the seafront and restaurants. Breakfast is not on-site but vouchers are provided for a nearby Brasserie, which was lovely. Great little pool. We arrived late evening after the reception had closed but received instructions on how to access our key, we couldn't find the room initially as ours was in the opposite building but staff responded immediately to our message for help!
