The hotel itself is unbelievable, very modern and clean. The pool area was amazing and the location was great. The staff were extremely attentive and catered to everything we needed.

I didn’t like the breakfast choice in terms of food. I felt like some of the food wasn’t put on some form of ice to keep it cool such as the fruit (only 2 choices of fruit chopped) and the yogurts weren’t either. The staff at the bar downstairs were really nice but felt they were slow at taking orders, we could be sat there for 15 minutes until someone came over but I also realise they might not have enough staff on. Around the pool area I thought the staff could go round asking if we wanted drinks rather than us getting up the bar every time and also the pool snacks menu there was only 5 things on there which we didn’t like so we couldn’t eat round the pool. It’s all minimal stuff but for the price you pay per night I thought I’d mention it.

I am frequent traveler and I can say that front desk team was the best of the best! Totally exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, they greeted me warmly and made the check-in process smooth and effortless. As this was my first time in Split, they were very helpful especially with recommendations for local attractions. Overall, the staff at Hotel Ambasador Split made me feel like a VIP, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I will definitely be returning! Thank you again 🙏🏻

Everything was wonderful! The lovely lady at reception surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade, giving us a stunning sea view. It was our anniversary, and my husband and I truly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Location is the best thing. Literally yatchs everywhere, lovely to walk or just have a drink. Also view from balcony was amazing. Breakfast is great. Spa gym great.

I know the pool is small but the worst part is the seating arrangement. There aren’t enough lounge chairs. And there are these big beanie bag sofa type chairs which take up too much space. There is so much dead space, easily another 20 loung chairs fit if designed properly. Very frustrating wanting to use the pool after a warm day and it’s literally seat less. There could be two bartenders and music, waitress etc. especially when it’s warm May-September.

Best location in Split - loved the views from our room. Breakfast was exceptional.

Very inflexible on breakfast menu - several options to choose from (those are in addition to an extensive and very good buffet by the way) but trying to order something straightforward like poached eggs on toast you can only have if it comes with smashed avocado…. that’s okay but sometimes it’s nice without. The music that is playing constantly at the pool & pool bar area. Absolutely awful…. most of it at least 30, 40, 50 years old and none of it by original artists If they are trying to create a relaxing vibe then I’m sorry but imho it’s not working. Oh & if you want a decent Aperol Spritz for half the price pop over the road to Bokamorra ….

The breakfast was phenomenal, as well as the staff with great choices and a terrific outside terrace. Our room looked directly out on the harbor with a view of Split and it was a pleasure to lay in bed in the morning with our coffee and watch the harbor wake up! Rooftop terrace and pool was also amazing. Parking was not free, but very convenient and safe. The location is right on the harbor promenade, which is perfect for people watching and walking into beautiful Split. Make sure you stroll into Split in the evening, as it is magical. We would stay at the Hotel Ambassador again without hesitation.

The staff are the friendliest and most attentive ever. Paulette and Niksa (Not sure if those names are correct) were amazing at breakfast. So friendly and helpful with everything. Both really looked after us. The hotel is clean and only a short walk to the old town which is full of restaurants and bars, all of different price ranges. The location at Split Harbour means you can watch all the super yachts coming in and out and sunbath at the 3rd floor pool at the same time. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Modern building along the boardwalk where the bigger yachts dock, the rooms are clean and modern, there is a large terrace with a bar and a restaurant, the food is good, the gym is also good they arranged a very good physio / trainer for me, the rooftop pool is small and shallow but also enjoyable, all just a very short enjoyable walk to the old town and the ferry pier and yet away from all the chaos.

As other reviews mentioned, the street view rooms can have some traffic noise from a few cars and bikes speeding - but nothing unbearable or constant. I expected it having read the reviews and I prefer this type of noise over nuisance from large crowds or bars and nightclubs.

Everything is new, modern, stylish, very clean. Location is fabulous. Breakfast is very good. Staff at restaurant and bar are very professional and kind.

Rooms have a peculiar design; nice, contemporary, but I’d prefer something more roomy and more classic design of bedroom. And there is no site for the luggage, only a very small dedicated spot… if you bring two carry on, one will stay on the floor. Although bed and linen were superb. I dislike the open showers, all glass, modern and wonderful fixtures, everything very nice and beautiful but the shower area has NO doors and water splits out what is undesirable and a bit inconvenient. It looks to be a current tendency because all hotels I stayed in Croatia have the same type of shower. Not big deal anyway.
