Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Meryem's hotel. Shakir, Romanic, Zahid, Emmi and Ruth were so welcoming and gave great customer service whilst also being friendly. The food was plentiful and delicious. Lots of choice on the breakfast buffet and fresh cooked to order omelettes and perfect poached eggs on toast. The hotel is kept very clean. We didn't find fault with anything. If you want the personal touch then this is the place to be. We will go back again if we return to Cyprus. Thank you all at Meryem's hotel. Beautiful hotel. Old world style and surroundings. Pool is clean and surrounded by gardens. The staff were absolutely exceptional and couldn’t do enough for us. It felt like we had our own staff! Brilliant teamwork and service. Special mention to Romanique (sorry if not correct spelling) he was a joy to be around and his customer care is second to none. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Road noise

breakfast was traditional fresh Turkish cyrpiot food which we liked with fried helim and egg omlette. Zied the hotel attendant at breakfast is one of the most friendliest, efficient, attentive and most accommodating staff members of a hotel I have ever met in any hotel anywhere in the world. Cant pay him much more of a compliment than that. Overall all the staff made me feel very welcome and were all very friendly and very helpful with anything we needed .The hotel is very quirky but i liked it a lot as its my kind of atmosphere and Its also good value for money so dont expect luxury. It is on the main street so will not be dead quiet especially if you get one of the front rooms. Everything is within easy reach and parking was plentiful.

Beautiful hotel a little way away from the crowds in Girne. Our room was large and comfortable, overlooking the lovely pool, which is set in a beautiful garden full of trees and flowers. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The best thing was the friendliness of Ugur and his amazing staff who made us feel so welcome, and like nothing was too much trouble. Thank you especially to Shakir, Romanic, Zaheed, Ruth and Emy. You are all doing a fantastic job!

Lovely hotel, very clean, brilliant staff We upgraded our room as I only booked the basic room and on arrival felt we wanted more space/balcony. Our upgraded room was fantastic, very spacious and lovely balcony with pool/garden view. Good location for getting about (we hired a car so went all over!) Our airport transfer was 1.30am and one of the cleaners came and sat and chatted to us while we waited for the taxi , she was so lovely! WiFi points all over the hotel so connection was always good. Breakfast service always to a high standard. Great value for money hotel.

Very atmospheric hotel. An old mansion with charm. Clean rooms with modern renovation. The room has a kettle, tea and coffee for two people, two small bottles of water for the first day. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. My two requests were fulfilled in the best possible way, for which I am very grateful. The hotel can be reached by taxi from the centre of Kyrenia or by a small bus for only 50-60 liras. There is a Kibhas shuttle from the centre of Kyrenia to the Ercan airport for 350 liras.

Large spacious room. Lovely pool area. Location was good for us as we had a car. Being on the main road was handy to reach nearby spots easily. Nice fulfilling breakfast.

The shower could have been cleaner - there was a dead mosquito squashed in the shower, probably left by a previous guest. So obviously the bathroom wasn't cleaned. We booked a delux double room, but it was actually part of a family room, separated from the next door room by a thin door which gave us (or our neighbour) no privacy. We could hear everything, even when he sneezed or yawned. Even the lock wasnt covered - leaving quite a large peep hole into the next and our room!! The mattress was old and not comfortable.

Good communication before arrival - easy check in and welcome - really good customer care from all staff - especially breakfast and Shakir in evening - small hotel - which is what we like- lovely pool- nothing too much trouble - really enjoyed it

Staff was very friendly and nice. Room and bathroom were clean and very nicely furnished. Wifi was good. Breakfast was quite good. The hotel is very nicely decorated and everything is clean. Outside is a nice garden.

My room was unfortunately connected by a (locked) door to another room and my neighbours were snoring quite heavily and the door provided absolutely no soundproofing whatsoever, so it was like they were snoring just by my ear. Caused me to have very unpleasant night. I assume other rooms don't have this issue and then I would give it a 10. It is close to the road, traffic noise was not and issue, but it makes the surrounding area not the most pleasant.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and well-equipped. The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, almost complete, and served in a lovely, organized setting.

The location of the hotel was not good, and what made it worse was the terrible transportation system in Kyrenia and Northern Cyprus in general. There are almost no taxis or buses, and you might even have to wait over an hour for a minibus to arrive.
