Overall great hotel conveniently located next to train station and close to restaurants and shopping. The suites have plenty of room with a large bathroom, large desk, comfortable chairs, sofa and bed. Our interior facing suite was very quiet and clean. This is our hotel of choice when staying in Dortmund.

Suggest relatively low cost improvements which would greatly enhance a stay here : add 2 coat hooks near door; add shower door to prevent water splashing onto floor when showering; locate safe on higher shelf to make it easier to use it and see numbers without stooping. Also suggest upgrading some suites which are basic to luxury suites (including sturdier nightstands) - we would pay more for this.

I had heard good comments about the hotel, all of them were positive and I agree. The rooms are huge, well decorated, and well equipped. Plenty of plugs, different light levels. The location is really good, of course like most German central stations it is not the "nicest" nor prettiest, but it is very conveniently located. The view was cool too, at least my room had direct views to the Dortmunder U. The breakfast was amazing, many options and they even had avocado, first time I see this in a breakfast buffet. The price, at least when I stayed here, was quite good though. If I need to stay some nights in Dortmund I would like to come back here.

One of the doors to the toilette were sliding style. It tended to be left a bit open and that was annoying. Had a frigobar but no drinks in it, one needed to go to the reception to buy (that feats all the purpose really)

The room was modern, very big and comfortable. The shower and bathroom facilities were excellent and very clean. The mini shop was a great convenience and breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious. Location was ideal for train transport and access to the city centre. Restaurant's and takeaways were all in easy walking distance. Taxi's are readily available and quite cheap compared to the UK. The option to have a free drink instead of daily housekeeping was a bonus. The staff were all friendly and pleased to help us.

The noise from the road could be heard, which sometime disturbed us overnight if emergency vehicles went by.

The overall building was probably not designed as a hotel, but remodeled as such, and I found it rather nice: the rooms are really big (more of a suite than a regular room, also the bathroom area is big) and the hallways are very wide. Really big desk in hotel room. Wide choice for breakfast. In my case extremely good value for money, but this might depend a lot on the particular day (BVB football games). Hotel is close to train station, and also city center is within walking distance. Friendly staff at front desk.

Nice hotel at the edge of the city center and close to the central train station. The building itself looks to be old, but it is tastefully renovated. The hotel is perfect if you are visiting Dortmund and want to stay close to the center. The room that we booked was quite big and spacious. Beds were reasonably comfortable. While the bathroom was quite big the shower was relatively small and lacked a bit of lighting. Still, not that bad. The hotel also has a private underground parking, which is directly connected to the hotel by an elevator. The staff was polite and helpful.

Nothing really bad to say about the hotel, except that the AC thermostat had an annoyingly bright light and because it is located near the bed it was a bit difficult to fall asleep.

It was in a fantastic location, literally seconds from the main train station and in the city centre. The rooms were massive and the beds were also really big and comfy! I loved that there was free water/coffee and sweets at reception after 12pm, a really lovely touch! You can rent umbrellas (which was VERY helpful as we obviously hadn’t flown with any and it didn’t stop raining the whole time we were there) at reception and there’s even a little kiosk in the main reception. All staff and housekeeping were very helpful!!

It was very noisy if you’re on the road side, lots of sirens and cars but this didn’t bother us as I sleep through everything but it was very loud. The pillows are also very thin but in hindsight we should have asked reception for more pillows as they were very helpful!!

During our winter stay, the room's notable warmth added an extra layer of enjoyment to our overall experience. our experience at NH DORTMUND was nothing short of perfect. The combination of exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and innovative features left a lasting impression. We're already looking forward to our next visit and can't wait to return to this wonderful hotel. Highly recommended!

Bathroom areas were not as clean as anticipated; numerous human hairs on the floor created a less-than-ideal first impression upon check-in.

The room was substantial in size, with a big sitting/working area and a separate bed space. We were greeted at the reception by a very polite young man, exemplary check in service. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room but he made me a cup of tea without hesitation - much appreciated! Very good breakfast.

Loved this hotel. Room was large with separate bedroom and living room. Great German breakfast puts anything and everything in N. America to shame. 2 min walk to the train station and Soccer Museum. 5 min to city centre. Easy train ride to Borussia Dortmund's Signal Iduna park.

Very minor. I'm a side sleeper and prefer a slightly softer bed. But German hotel beds are typically of the harder, less forgiving variety. All I had to do was put down a comforter to sleep on.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way from Paris. There are no comparisons: an incredibly large room with a feeling of freedom, a spacious bathroom, breakfast - everything you could wish for, and the main thing - the price is in no way comparable to a hotel of a much lower star category. We were very pleased.
