Great value for money in the center of town and a short walk from the train station. Clean bathroom with good hot water and the room I had at back of the hotel was away from the street noise. The bed was a firm foam mattress and I slept really well. The guy who checked me in was really nice and helpful. Rewe supermarket very close to pension and i would definitely stay here again if I ever return to dortmund.

A few of the guests slamming the doors very loudly late at night, but this isn't the fault of the hotel.

I got an upgrade to a full apartment because of a technical problem in the room foreseen, which could not be repaired at the same day. This was very good quality for money. The location's building is not beautiful but very central. Shops and restaurants are just around the corner and the rail way station is at10-15 mins walking distance.

I am a traveller with basic needs. I don't need a load of facilities, just a quiet room with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom and City Pension was perfect in that respect. To get two nights for around €100 was already good but I knew there would be compromises but, in terms of the basics, nothing at all was compromised and was to the standard I'd expect from a far more expensive place. I also wanted to say a special thank you to the guy managing the place who tolerated my problems with the key card with good humour. If you want a no frills place to sleep in Dortmund, this place is hard to beat in my view.

Nothing springs to mind. This is a no-frills place and whilst those seeking a 'holiday resort' experience at a bargain basement price are going to be disappointed, I have no complaints whatsoever and will be returning there next year.

Central location. Easy to reach anything, the appartment had a kitchinette with all you need. Clean, close to central station and to all attraction points. Friendly receptionist.

We were not given the room that we booked. We received an appartment with 3 beds.we had to move furniture to make a double bed. Pillows are too soft, mattress also too soft for our taste. The shower was leaking. No cleaning or servicing during the 3 days.

Great stay! The staff were friendly and allowed early check-in. The location was perfect, and the hotel was spotless.

The beds were quite old and uncomfortable, and the pillows were very poor quality—almost like there were none at all. Additionally, the rooms felt quite small.

I've stayed here before and it's my 'go-to' hotel for my annual trip to Intermodellbau in April. Good price and very close to the U-Bahn station and shops. Facilities are minimal but I just need somewhere to sleep and this fits the bill perfectly.

Our blind football team frequently travels low budget to different locations in Germany, so we do not expect comfort of a 5 star hotel. The city pension was the first one offering double rooms and still being within our budget. Rooms are small but clean, location is ok (side street is not very cosy, but very near to subway Reinoldikirche, where you can also get a decent breakfast)

The location was great, near to the center and easy accesible. The room was enough and great for two people. The staff was very friendly too. They helped us with carrying our luggage and were very welcoming.

There was a weird smelling and the bathroom was really loud: when I turned the lights on, the ventilator was noisy. Also, the walls are a bit thin and you can hear other people in their rooms.

It's a great place, location in the city center. The room and bathroom are clean.
