1. Long queue to access the breakfast room, which is to small for the hotel capacity, despite to the huge effort of the personnel to manage the situation 2. Long time to check-in, while is started at 3 p.m. and all tourists want to check-in at that time; difficult to think that they finished to clean up all the free room in the same time, and the hotel cannot do the check-in step by step, after each cleaned room becomes available 3. I didn't receive my invoice; the personnel told me I will get it by mail; not yet received after 2 days.

The staff is very friendly. Alina from the reception is lovely.

The canteen is poorly planned and can't cope with the number of people coming for breakfast. This makes queues, the staff is stressed, and guests are crammed into small spaces and also stressed. Bad start of each day. Housekeeping starts way too early in the morning. 9 am they are already knocking on the doors. Why not use them to help in the canteen with breakfast and stop bothering the guests so early?

We stayed at the hotel during our visit to Dresden due to an international conference. I must say that this hotel is exceptional. If you are looking for luxuries, big rooms, large wasted spaces, you won't find them in this hotel. If you are looking for many breakfast varieties, you won't find them in this hotel. But if you are looking for a delicious, fresh, and well-cooked breakfast (fresh eggs, fresh bread, milk, yogurt, coffee, fresh vegetables), this is your choice. The hotel's location is perfect (next to the market and several malls). As for the room, it was super clean and equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

There weren't many things we didn't like about the hotel. Perhaps someone would like a bigger room (it was fine with us) or more amenities. The only thing I could mention is the way the elevators work, i.e., you can, for example, use one of the four elevators at a time in the lobby (or on a floor). This means that, in a busy hour, there may be a queue in the lobby.

Excellent location. 5-10 minutes walk from the railway station. Easy access to the shopping area, plenty of cafes and restaurants within easy reach. Close to the old town and all the main tourist attractions. We also took the train to see the Bastei Bridge. Again this was easy to do as we were so close to the station. Lots of food options for breakfast and plenty of food. Room was small but for the price it was very good value. We were rarely in it.

Breakfast could get very busy. This is explained on arrival and you are told the times when you may have to queue and wait for a table. We are early risers so we're always down by 7am. It was nice and quiet then. Just bear this in mind. It is a busy hotel. If this does not appeal then it won't be right for you.

Holiday Inn is wonderful! It is situated exactly in the centre but also very close to main railway station. There are many shopping centers and cafes around but it's very quiet inside at the same time (I slept like an angel, with open window). The bed is perfect! Breakfast is very good, but really overcrowded. There are 10 floors in the hotel, really many guests - and just a tiny space for restaurant. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful, my special thanks to them ❤️

As I already said, the space for breakfast is pretty small. This is the reason for long queues, you can stand there 5 minutes or sometimes more for a cup of coffee. The plates and cutlery are very dirty! They looked like they were not washed! Sticky plates are disgusting, sorry, guys.

Excellent location! Large room and bathroom relative to other German hotel rooms. Staff was kind. Hotel was safe and clean. Easy to get to from Dresden Hbf and easy access to the old part of the city.

Long lines to check in, long lines at breakfast, long lines at the bar. We ended up not going to breakfast at the hotel since the lines were so long. Also, we had a toilet paper problem. We got 1 roll when we checked in, eventually ran out, and struggled to get more because the hotel was out "waiting on a delivery." So, we just went and bought a pack. Not a big deal, but weird for Holiday Inn Express. I would stay here again!

Great location, close to the bus station, lots of shops, cafes, shopping centre. Staff very polite. Room and bathroom very clean. Beds comfortable, provide deep sleep. Fresh products for breakfast. The staff did an exemplary job during breakfast. They kept the shortages up to date, kept the room tidy.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the only thing served warm for breakfast was boiled eggs. No scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages - nothing warm except boiled eggs. There was bread, cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, sweet pastries, oatmeal, yoghurts, coffee, chocolate, tea, juices. You could make mini pancakes in a special express machine - I'm not a fan of food prepared this way. The breakfast assortment was very limited, although everything was very fresh and tasty.

The hotel is in a very good location, not far from attractions. Shopping centers are nearby. The room is perfectly clean, the bed was very comfortable. Good breakfast.

It was a hot day, and the hotel's general air conditioning system did not work very well. In the evening, when the window was opened, it was impossible to sleep because of the noisy group of hotel guests who spent time in the hotel's outdoor bar. Therefore, during the summer period, I would suggest requesting a room on the opposite side from the bar location.

The Holiday Inn Express was a comfortable and clean budget hotel making it a good base to explore Dresden whilst being ideally located a quick walk from the train station. Everything was within walking or cycling distance — they have a rack of rental bikes out front which we were priced well. We cycled to the new town which was very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable albeit small, but the bathroom was very nice and modern. The staff were also friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good with lots of options available.

Large modern functional basic city centre chain hotel, 10 minutes walk from the train station and right in the city centre so easy access to shops/restaurants on the doorstop - several supermarkets within a few minutes as were all Christmas markets (the reason for our visit). We had a 2 bedroomed room unit which accommodated our family of 5 well - 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. Small table/chairs for 4. Kitchenette with hob plate (not working), microwave, small fridge, Nespresso machine (no pods) and sink. Small bathroom with ‘OK’ shower. Very clean and well maintained. Basic but fresh continental breakfast was included our rate - very busy when we were there with a queue on one day but managed efficiently by very friendly staff team.

No cups/plates/cutlery/cooking utensils/washing up liquid/cloths etc and broken hob made kitchenette pretty unusable, although staff did provide us with some plates & cutlery when requested. No milk provided for tea/coffee, no pods for Nespresso, although again we were given some milk on request. I’m 6ft 4 inches tall and had to reach above my shoulder height to access the microwave - someone smaller would have struggled.
