The room was cosy and the hotel's interior quite beautiful.

Outside noise, for example, street sweeping machine very early in the morning, passing several times at 6h and then other lorries passing by. Maybe the windows should be more noise insulating. Noticed some dirt spots in the room, which I didn't expect in this kind of hotel. Breakfast buffet was nice, but mind you that they start taking it away at 9h50 as you are still having your breakfast, so it makes you feel redundant amidst the personnel going to and fro. During the check-out the guy at the reception didn't even bother to ask if we had a good stay.

Hello! I chose the hotel after reading reviews online and a personal recommendation from friends. I must say that I was not wrong, I chose an amazing, excellent, clean, quiet, romantic hotel in an amazing location, very close to all the attractions in the city. Very close to the river, the restaurant and bar area, to Conissala Street. And in particular, very close to the carnival parade. After many years of staying in dozens of hotels around the world, the Hotel de Medici is one of the best, clean, luxurious, quiet and romantic hotels I have stayed in. Beyond all this, the value for money is excellent. The price is fair and very reasonable for the carnival period. The staff at the amazing hotel is helpful and very kind and polite. Everything is fine and o.k.

This a very nice hotel. The room was large and comfortable. There was a dressing table (yay!). The only thing was that there was no table and chairs to eat breakfast at together in the room. One of us had to use the desk and the other the dressing table. The room service breakfast was delivered on time and the order was accurate, although the portion-size varied day to day. The food was delicious (all except the coffee!) but it was very expensive. The lobby was open and spacious and I imagine that the terrace in the courtyard would be nice for a drink in the summer. The corridors were very long but there was a lot of art to look at on the way to the room.

We didn't like the coffee - it was like drinking bitter hot water. The breakfast was extortionately expensive. The bar was very small and like having a drink in a corridor, which is odd when the hotel is so large. The restaurant only had a single, unappetising vegetarian option but it was booked out anyway. We had checked out and paid for the next morning's breakfast the night before in order to have a quick getaway in the morning but then when we came to leave the receptionist accused us of not having paid for breakfast, and then when he eventually found that we had he said that we hadn't paid the service charge, and then that took longer for him to find, so it wasn't quick at all. I didn't appreciate the painting of animals being hunted that was in the bedroom - disgusting.

The staff, the building, the location, the decor, the heated floor in the bathroom, the facilities were all good. The interior design gives you a sense that you're staying somewhere quite posh. Breakfast selection is very good.

It is a silly thing, but the shower door opened inwards, so it would get soaked when you step into the shower...unless you got in first then turned the shower on..bit cold. There were other things, that were a bit Form over Function. Again, just silly little things, like the cupboard doors are massive, but you can't have them open and open the room door at the same time. So if one person is inside using the cupboard and the other guest tried to come in, they would bang into each other. There scrambled egg looks like it comes from a packet. Hiring the beautiful Rolls Royce is around €250 to the airport. About 7km. €20 in an Uber.

The building itself is of course amazing, the corridors are very beautiful and full of art and there's a lot to see. The whole atmosphere of the old, special building is great! The staff at the reception is friendly. I was especially happy about the kindness of the young lady, who was originally from Italy - she was both very kind and professional and immediately made me feel comfortable about the stay. The room and the bathroom were big enough and we liked the big shower space very much.

The cleaning staff should be a bit more attentive, while cleaning the rooms: our room had dust rolls on the floor and being allergic, this was not very comfortable. Also, the bed was pretty uncomfortable, for some reason it felt like the bed was very old, it was uneven (felt as if one could feel the spots on which people had slept for decades) and bad for the back. Maybe it would be a good thing to invest in new beds? Without the issue with the bed and the dust I would give 9. Sleep is too important.

Restaurant was booked out on Saturday and closed on Sunday and Monday, which was very inconvenient. Apart from breakfast, there was no dining or beverage option available.

Location: Excellent location and a walking distance from the main touristic attractions in the city. There are restaurants, bars, supermarkets and pharmacies nearby. Staff: Friendly, polite and helpful. They are also very attentive during breakfast. The evening bar manager (with a nice moustache) was very friendly and made us feel welcome at the location. Room: Spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom shower has good water pressure and is also spacious. Hotel: Beautifully decorated and clean. They offer valet parking service. The breakfast is excellent with a great variety of foods and fresh fruits.

I was the hotel for three nights, the fire alarm went off twice. Once, during the day and it was noisy at the premises; another time, it went off at 01:00am, which was very inconvenient. It took them about 30 minutes to wait for the fire fighters to arrive and shut it off. Not sure if it's a regular thing or if I was unlucky.

Great location. One of the most beautiful hotels I have every stayed at, décor, architecture etc. Plenty of room for clothes, big fridge, great spacious shower, separate lounge with sofa, huge windows, Nice compact kitchen/bar area.

We stayed in an "apartment" and although there was a hob and microwave, there was no kettle, no bowls, only one drinking glass and one fork. There were no hooks and only one small towel rail so we could not hang out the big towels for reuse. Although the hotel was virtually spotless, there was a lot of dust under the bed, I only noticed this because something fell under the bed.

The location is great and adjacent to the Aldstat but is serenely quiet as room windows open to a fountained courtyard. We were traveling with friends in a double room and our apartment was an exquisite gathering spot. Breakfast offerings and service were superb. The surroundings have the feel of a museum with all the modern amenities. Loved the heated bathroom floor. Not an exaggeration to say we were treated like royalty.
