Hotel was great—beautiful, Breakfast amazing love love it. classic modernised hotel, and with a lovely smile to welcome all guests. But next time, when a client requests and books a double bed, please do not give separate beds. We had to pay extra to change to a room with double bed. Also, please inform your guests in advance that parking is not free and costs 19 Euro per day. But for the rest, we had a wonderful stay. We give everything 5 stars. Would we come back again? Definitely yes!

Extra cost

The hotel has a grand appearance on the outside as well as the inside. The suite was lovely and the dining room is wonderful! The Black Forest menu including wine for each course was a great start to our stay. The a la carte menu had a wide variety of choices and then breakfast buffet was extensive. The staff were also very friendly.

We booked a suite with a double bed and at first we were given one with two single beds, but the receptionist did her very best to find us an alternative, despite the hotel being very busy and we were very happy with the suite we were given.

We had reserved a double superior room but found out on arrival that this actually means a twin room. Perhaps the wording could be made clearer to avoid confusion and disappointment for future guests?

Fabulous traditional hotel. Quality furnishings and highest standards of hotel-keeping. Fabulous dinner and breakfast served by attentive and well trained staff. Like stepping back in time to the 1920s . Housekeeping and quality of bedrooms was outstanding. Warm welcome and v helpful receptionists. Our first visit but now one our favourite hotels ever!! Didn’t use pool or spa but other guests loved these.

The fact that we only stayed 2 nights!!

The hotel has everything and it is very well located if you want to enjoy of the black forest. We really enjoy our stay there. Good breakfast, The restaurant has good food and the service is very good. For the spa you need to book in advance but you can enjoy of the sauna, pool and the gym.

the spa is great and very clean! The facilities and ammenities all in all were great. Breakfast had a very good variety and the service was friendly and efficient. Everything went great for the 6 days we stayed!

The room and the bathroom could have more storage space, specially if one stays for a week or so.

Minor things like: little bit dust in the room, bathroom bit small, window could not be opened a small amount.

Pillows weren’t very comfortable, mattress was pretty hard.
