Very polite reception staff, when we arrived we have been checked in even before the time for check in. There were drinks in lobby almost during the whole stay. Also afternoon breakfast was served during the weekend. Room was clean, housekeeping also was polite and helpful as the TV remote control was not working, so she changed the batteries.

Breakfast staff in restaurant were very intolerant vs the closing time for breakfast. 5-10 min before the end of the breakfast they started to invite the guests to finish...also with not very polite tone. In other hotels the staff just begin to bring back the food to kitchen when the time is over and you are let to finish the coffee or what you eat. Here I find it not friendly especially considering that people visit the city in this period (Christmas) of the year for pleasure...so no rush for nowhere....

The building and some of decor seems a little dated but the facilities and standard of service provided more than make up for this, especially for the price. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and professional and are well-informed and able and willing to help the guests. A great advert for your place! Rooms are well-equipped, with fridge, welcome drink and toiletries in bathroom a nice touch. Very comfortable room. Breakfast is very good, even better than many higher-rated hotels. Huge range of options and well organised and replenished. Location opposite the Tiergarten and two stops on S Bahn to station, also walkable to city centre. Limited options close by for eating and drinking but easy transport to city and there is a bar and restaurant in the hotel (although I didn't use that). Thank you for a great stay!

Comfortable bed, good and big table where you can place the laptop and work. There’s a candy bar in the lobby, coffee, tea and refreshments available. Breakfast is quite standard but good and the restaurant is nice.

There are 3 elevators in the building, but only one works and it’s very small. So several times we had to use stairs because the elevator was busy. When there was time to checkout, fully occupied elevator had been arriving 3 times. There is very odd air conditioner in the room, it almost doesn’t blow and cool anything. There was no still water in the room (2 bottles were provided and both were sparkling).

As mentioned by other guests, breakfast is excellent there. It's a well diversified buffet of good quality fare. I truly enjoyed my breakfast at Leonardo. Quiet location within 10 minutes walking to the centre of Karlsruhe, 2 minutes to the U-Bahn station, and there is a great therme across the street. The view from my 9th floor room is nice. The staff is outstanding, and always genuinely attentive to the needs of the guest, all with a smile. Check-in and check-out were straightforward. Free coffee, teas, and fruit flavoured water in the lobby.

Older building with small elevators and dated furniture, but kept in good condition. The heater in my room was pretty noisy; you could hear the water running through the pipes all the time. Informed the reception staff at checkout and they took note to have it checked.

Staff were truly friendly and responsive. Made whole world of a difference. The hotel was clean and kept in very good conditions. Location was great. Environment was safe and quiet, yet accessible easily by several tram lines. It was overall a wonderful stay. I would not hesitate to stay there again. The lounge was also showing Champions League football when we arrived. Great entertainment too.

no ventilation in the rooms, just a closed loop air conditioning, which was unable to keep up with the outside heat at all times, if you open the windows, all nearby insects rush in

First thing that I would mention is service and exceptional work of the hotel's staff. After such a warm welcome you feel like home here. The location is very good for a quick sightseeing tour around the town or for a comfortable train ride elsewhere. WiFi signal was good even on the 9th floor. Personally I appreciated that in our room there were 2 pillows of different sizes and density. All in all it was a very pleasant, comfortable stay. Another thing wortg mentioning is that infrared light in the bathroom ceiling. I have never seen such a thing in a hotel and I absolutely loved using it! It really helped me make the dull German winter days a bit cosier and lighter. We'll definitely come back here.

As people with very sensitive sleep I would recommend to ask beforehand for a room that's located not too close to the elevator. It's not particularly loud, but I could hear it and it caused some minor inconveniences. But that's just rather a note to oneself.

The property is not only close to the DB metro station but as well as to the tram, train and bus station! And to top it off it’s opposite a Zoo/park 🥹 I had a wonderful stay and the receptionist Justine just made it even more great! He was so helpful from the moment I arrived until the moment I left offering to find things for me to do in the city. All the staff were friendly that’s why I booked another nights stay. I had a wonderful view of the city from my window as well.

Staff is great. We had a bus later in the night, but they let us stay in the lobby bar as long as we needed. Location is also good - not far from both - city center and railway station

Mattress. It was so soft that we slept as if we were on an air mattress with water. Our backs felt sore because of it (two adults at the same time!) I never complain about mattresses, but this was really awful. It would make my evaluation even 7 rather than 8, but staff as I wrote above, made it 8.

Very good breakfast. Very clean and silent room. Very professional and kind staff. Optimal position: 10 minutes walk from the station, 20 minutes walk from the city center.

The room window couldn't be perfectly closed, a little bit cold in the room during the night in February, in spite of the heating
