Surprisingly pleasant considering communal bathrooms was not made clear until the booking was confirmed, at which point, no refund would be given - we may have cancelled if these conditions were not stipulated. It turned out to be one of our favourite accommodations with friendly staff, good facilities, excellent rooms and bathrooms and in a great location for everything.

Could hear conversations from adjacent rooms as walls were thin. Kitchen crockery and cutlery a little sparse - had to wait for cups, teaspoon and forks when just four people were using the kitchen facilities.

Invoices are provided immediately upon request. 24/7 reception. The self-service is really usable, well-equipped and clean. The rooms have hangers and a lockable wardrobe. The toilets are clean. The showers are spacious. Check-out is at 12 noon. After check-out, your luggage is kept safely until you actually leave.

When the staff change the duvet cover, they do it on the floor, which is not very hygienic. In one of the bathrooms, the toilet paper holder is right next to the urinal, which is not very hygienic. There are no hangers in the rooms to hang bathtowels on.

Clean, the 4 people mix room is clean and big. I like it because it’s the first hostel I stay that has curtains on bed which provide good privacy in Germany. ( I am quite surprised by the bed without curtains around cities in Germany: the hostels in Berlin, Munich, don’t have it..) And the kitchen, it is also well equipped, there is also oil and salt, and even some vegetables that precious people left there for sharing.

The bathroom is clean but I hope there is a lock for the door for safety and privacy purpose. I know it’s separated by female and male’s bathroom, but it’s still better to have a better privacy space. Just u don’t know if there is anyone who can just enter in, including male.

Pretty much everything was perfect with this hostel. The location is fantastic being a 7 min walk to the main square and Christmas market area and 10 min walk to the main train station as well as having the underground rail station right next door. The beds are super comfortable and well designed with curtains for privacy and an ability to hang towels on the bed railing. The hostel rooms are beautifully designed and spacious with lockers provided for smaller bags and items. The bathrooms are also modern, clean and spacious. There is lots of communal area to hang out in the lounge or kitchen.

The only minor annoyance was the shower heads being really low means you need to hold the shower head when showing which can be a bit inconvenient.

Absolutely amazing! It was my first time in the hostel as I arrived to the Fair for 4 nights and didn’t find the hotel for a good price. The location is perfect. Just 15 minutes from the airport by subway/metro + 1-2 minutes walk and you are in the hostel. The staff were nice and helpful with everything. Clean rooms, no lines and busy in the shower/wc despite of loaded rooms. Spacious kitchen, you can find everything for preparing meal. The location is very central, 5 minutes walk to the old town. Also it takes only 10 minutes to go to the Fair by subway. I can say that it was a perfect experience. I felt like home. Thank you!

Great hostel, not as social as others, but clean and quiet. The bunks were marvelously large and comfortable and we LOVED the privacy of the curtains. Would have liked to know it was right next to the red light district, perhaps, as that was a bit of a surprise, and apparently there’s protests every Monday night so that was a little disconcerting to get caught up in. But the hostel itself was great, staff was lovely. Could have used some smaller pots, another frying pan, and some paper towels in the kitchen though!

Friendly staff, everything was clean, furniture was like new, the kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, stove, extractor hood, kettle, dishes. The room has lockers that end with a key if you insert 1 euro (after opening the lock, the coin is returned). The bed is high enough (I did not hit my head on the top bed, like in other hostels), there is a curtain and this is also convenient so that the light does not interfere with sleep. There is a small shelf, its own lamp and one socket near the bed. To be honest, I needed three sockets instead of one, so I charged my watch in the kitchen while drinking tea. Basically, I liked everything, thank you!

The unpleasant thing was this: while I was walking around the city, for some reason a new guy decided to take my bed. Despite the fact that the curtain of the bed was closed and my things were on the shelf, this impudent fellow threw my things in the trash and took my bed. This happened to me for the first time in my life, I was shocked! I went to the reception. The girl from the reception immediately went with me to the room, the problem was solved, the guy was moved to another bed, and I was given new bed linen. Thanks to the staff for the help!

Hostel very well located, close to tube station and in a short walking distance from bus central station and main city station. Next to the oprah house, side by side with city walls! I have stayed in a 8-bed-female dorm. The room was really well thought: spacious, with good large lockers (you only need to bring with you 1€ coin), the bunk beds are steady, easy to use ladder, comfortable mattress and pillow, they have a curtain allowing you to have some privacy, also plug and lamp. The bed was nicely made (something nowadays rare to find, even in some hostels were you pay twice more than on this one). The room as large airy windows and a table in the middle, giving you something uncommon in most hostels: the possibility to use your room for more than just sleep! :) The room was not ensuite, but the female bathroom/shower was just next door (so once again, the hostel layout is really well thought). If you dont bring a towel, ask for one at checkin, it is not included on the room price, but it was only 1.50€. The hostel as a large common kitchen. I only stayed for one evening, but some of the girls staying were saying that compared to most places they stayed during their travel in Germany, this one was from far the best value for money. I also need to highlight the spotless cleaning, housekeeping is doing a great job!

The only thing that could be better was staff energy/engagement.. the checkin and checkout process were far to straightforward, only with basic essential information being provided (even though it was not busy). Maybe because I am used staying in hostels known by their atmosphere, this left me with a sense of "it could be better guest experience".

Great location, outstanding cleaning! 7 stars for the cleaning team (I have never such clean showers!) and for Acelya at the reception! Super friendly! The Operahaus metro station is right across the hostel, it takes you straight to Nuremberg airport in 20 min. So convenient! The size of the 6 female dorm is a bit small for 6 beds, when all beds were occupied, the air in the room got quite heavy. The sitting room is very comfortable, nicely painted and decorated. The floor is beautiful! There is a kitchen, I did not use it, but it looked tidy and roomy. Higly recommended!

What a great hostel. Comfortable, conveniently located and affordable. Bathrooms were always clean and well maintained. Really appreciated the privacy curtains on the bunks. The room was a good size, you never felt crowded even with a full room. You can easily go to all places of interest like the castle, rally grounds and trials museum conveniently.

Washing machines would have been good to have onsite for convenience as the recommended one is a 10-15min walk. The room doesn't have air conditioning so we relied on having the window opened otherwise it becomes quite stuffy in the room, however it can get quite noisy when passerbys are yelling out. Our room faced the street and people smoking right at the entrance drifts in which was unpleasant.
