Private Pool was perfect for us best friends who wanted a peaceful relaxing holiday. Food was amazing consisting of general and Greek food with lots of options which changed throughout the week. Fresh towels, linens and beach towels every day and a fridge in the room was great. Staff on reception specifically were very helpful to assist us quickly.

Pool wasn’t cleaned even when we asked for it. The staff are too quick to take plates away at the buffet (when you still have food in the mouth) Plastic cups give the holiday a cheap feel, also not being able to bring a simple bottle of water to the table. There was a wasps nest in the fence of our room and a gentlemen just let himself in spraying the wasps the kill them (👍🏼) but then not coming back to clean up leaving a cemetery of wasps on the steps to the pool for days.

we got the grand suite with the private pool, the room was amazing, the pool was huge. this is definitely the best room you can get with these prices. The food in the hotel was great, not repetitive at all. breakfast always had pancakes, a variaty of eggs, chesse, bread, vegetables, cereal, jams, etc. lunch and dinner were also great, and i really liked the desserts. i'm a vegatarian and i always had multiple choises. the hotel is in the center of everything, near by there are a lot of restaurants, bars, supermarkers, stores, absolutly everything you need.

they didn't clean our room every day, but that wasn't so bad.

The facilities are really nice and the place is far from where most festivities take place which makes it ideal for families with children. Cleaning services were good and the lady was very friendly and helpful.

Having stayed at other Crete hotels with all-inclusive buffets, I can say that the quality of the products used was below sub-par. I know that it is all-inclusive, but the best dish over our 5 days stay was the spaghetti, and that says something. One day there was mousaka and once the dish was gone they replaced it with Sprouts(!) So if you were lucky to have a slice then ok if not then... Also the inclusive drinks were only beer and wine no cocktails or mocktails in there to chose from.

Room in the new part were very clean and modern. In general, the whole facility looked very nice. There were three pools, an aqua park and the beach only about 5 minute walk from the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a room with an entresol and the air conditioning was beneath it so it was really hot up there. The break between lunch and dinner was too long for us and there weren’t any snacks in between. This one is not about the property, but we didn’t enjoy Malia in general. It was very loud, a typical party location with a lot of bars and clubs.

It is a very nice hotel, it has 3 pools, 1 large dining room and lots of nice spots to sit and relax. We loved our meals and drinks by the pool!! Nice food, pleasant atmosphere and good people!!

The two things we had trouble with was the yelling at noon between 15:00 and 17:00 because of the water park. We had booked a superior double room with private pool to relax and it wasn’t so much peaceful as we thought. As for the second one, the little fridge in the room was extremely noisy when it worked.

Another great stay at the Meropi Hotel. Our stay last year was great too and we were determined to come back but this time to a room with a private pool. This meant booking direct with hotel and flights separately rather than going as a package but it was well worth it. Our room was exceptional as was the food and service. Staff really friendly and helpful and the receptionist also recognised me from last year and even knew what room we stayed in last year! Hoping to come back again next year.

The choices of the all inclusive drinks package was quite limited but was adequate for our needs. Nice local wines (white/red/rose) and beer. Liked how we could choose to either have a drink at the bar or take drinks back to our room.

first and foremost, it’s a bit off the path from the busier part of Malia. you get the closeness of historic old town where there are many fantastic choices to eat, but are also away from the hustle and bustle of the evening party crowd. on top of that, you are a five minute walk from the beach. secondly the hospitality at this hotel is unmatched. I come here at least once a year because the people are so kind and welcoming. it’s really one of my favorite hotels.

nothing to be honest. the staff is lovely, the rooms are wonderful, the food is pretty good, the location is perfect.

The pools, the breakfast, the location

Two stories rooms with an air conditioner at the bottom floor made it to cold to sleep on the first floor and way too hot to sleep on the second floor. We took a fan and operated it all day and it was still impossible to sleep on the second floor.

The food is excellent, great diversity and quality. The apartment was quite big, even though not as big as in the booking description. The place for the kids. The polls. Good value for the price overall.

The apartment wasn't 54 sqm like in the booking description. The fridge was rusty. The air conditioning was leaking inside.
