The hotel was perfectly located for all attractions, tram links and Amsterdam Centraal Station. Plenty of shops, supermarket, restaurants, cafes and bars all with a few minutes walk. The room (triple) was very spacious, clean and comfortable. En-suite bathroom was lovely and modern. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from...something for everyone. Staff were all super friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our break and would definitely go back again.

Only three things I didn't like about our room. 1. Located at the front of the building and we had trouble sleeping due to noisy revellers late into the night, not ideal. 2. No air-conditioning and it would get rather hot in the room by end of the day. Couldn't open windows due to noise and people smoking in front! There were however three fans which did help. 3. Soap and Shower dispensers were fixed so high that me and my daughter could not use them! Note to hotel - not everyone is 6ft 3 high, some of us are smaller. Luckily I packed a small bar of soap which was handy.

The hotel is within walking distance to the shopping district and markets. The beds, toilets and room were cleaned, so it was a very comfortable stay. Fantastic self-service coffee machine. There is no kettle and cups in the room so please obtain drinking water and paper cups from the coffee machine. The maintenance staff helped to bring our luggage down a few steps into the hotel without hesitation. What a nice man! Kudos to the front desk staffs who served with their smiles.

A little inconvenient to walk from the Centraal Station with your luggage on the cobbler pavements hence it's better to take a tram

The hotel was in an excellent location and all staff were very friendly polite and helpful. Our room was spacious ,clean and had air con which was very welcome. The large fridge was useful for cool drinks and snacks from the nearby supermarket and the room was cleaned every day. Free tea ,coffee and drinking water were all provided in the lobby .There is a tram stop just adjacent to the hotel which was very convenient. We were very happy with all aspects of our stay in The Nova Hotel and would use it again

As other reviews mention ,there are steep and winding stairs in the property, which may not suit everyone but it is the nature of many establishments in this historical city.There is a lift in the Nova though,and the stairs don't really need to be used. l only mention them in case it would affect someone with restricted mobility .

Very convenient location. Lots of restaurants, markets and attractions within walking distance. Hotel offers breakfast early morning for a fee and was useful as restaurants don't open until 9am. Hotel has a small elevator which is very useful as the stairs are steep. Rooms are quite spacious and clean and beds are comfortable. There is free coffee and tea all day and free water to fill up your bottle.

There is no AC and if it is a hot day in the summer it can be warm even in the night. It's quite noisy in the rooms with a street view especially in the night as there is a lot of partying going on late into the night on the streets. Being an older building the hallways are quite narrow.

Nova Hotel was in an excellent location and walking distance for almost everything, especially a great access to shopping areas as well attractions ! The rooms are quite conveniently spacious with a mini fridge in the room ! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful

Tea and coffee are not in the room which made it a bit of a hassle especially not having water in the room was quite inconvenient. It would have been excellent to also have a kettle in the room instead of having to go all the way down for a morning tea and coffee

Nova hotel is well located at the hart of the city, close to communications - tram and metro, walking distance from museums area, out of the red lights district, with plenty of coffee shops and nice places for breakfast or snacks. In front of the hotel there is a small garden area, it’s nice and green. The hotel looks small but cozy. The staff is friendly and there is an area with coffee/tea machine with milk container that you can use complimentary anytime of the day. We booked a family room and it was nice and comfortable for four people, the bathroom was clean and new, cleanness was excellent.

The only downside for me was the pillow, but I am used to ergonomic ones, so for few days it wasn’t a problem. The trams can be quite noisy if you sleep on open window.

Great location. 15min walk from the central station, in the heart of the city. Tram stops and bus stops were close too. 24hr access via room key, but also had staff at reception. Really spacious, clean rooms, with good facilities. Comfy beds - double is two singles pushed together with separate duvets. In room facilities - fridge, safe, hanging rail with around 8-10 hangars, hairdryer, 2 fans, basic toiletries (soap, ear buds, ear plus, shower cap), desk with chair, smart TV (easily to hook up Netflix etc). Good size shower, with towels and shower gel supplied. There was no in room hot drinks, but a great 24hr drinks station in reception, with loads of hot drinks, and a cold water dispenser. Breakfast was ok, the usual continental spread - fruit, cereals, bread, cheeses, ham, salmon, and with the addition of scrambled eggs, boiled eggs. On one day there were sausages too. Around 5 different juices, flavoured water, and plenty of hot drinks options.

My only slight negatives were the rooms were a little dark, which isn't really anything the hotel can address. Not a major issue, just meant having the lights in a lot more than usual. Only other thing was some of the hotel noise carried through the walls. Again not a major issue, as it didn't interrupt my sleep at all.

Great location, easy access by foot or public transportation to Amsterdam sights. My family enjoyed the breakfast. Staff was helpful and friendly.

We had no air conditioning in the room on the 1st floor and had to open the window as it was very hot. However, street noise (there were 2 benches right below the windows and they were being used by people in the midnight and after) made it impossible to sleep, had to change the room.

The location was perfect — the tram from Central Station passed right in front of the hotel, which made getting from the airport really easy. Everything was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed was super comfortable. I stayed alone and felt very safe and relaxed. I’ll definitely stay here again next time!

No air conditioning in the room. It wasn’t a major issue, but on really hot days it could get a little stuffy. The fan helped a bit, but it wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably cool all the time.

Location was excellent, very central. The tea coffee and water facilities in reception were a lovely touch. The beds were only ok they may need updating. The room was spotless, also we arrived in the middle of a heatwave, there was no air conditioning, but we did notice that two fans had been recently purchased for our room. We did not have breakfast but for a short stay in Amsterdam this hotel had everything you would need

The beds could have been more comfortable, but apart from that the hotel had everything necessary.
