Quiet and comfortable with good location. The view was exceptional

We stayed 2 nights, the dessert at the buffet on night 2 was terrible. I advised staff but no one checked, then I advised staff at checkout who said, I'm sorry. No putting it right, no refund, no discount fir next visit.

Our stay at this modern hotel in Colombo was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city and close to all major attractions, making it easy to explore everything Colombo has to offer. We stayed in a room on the 22nd floor, and the view was stunning. The room itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and had all the modern amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight of the hotel was the rooftop pool, bar and gym on the 26th floor, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Colombo skyline. Whether during the day or at sunset, the view was simply mesmerizing. Next to the pool, there’s a well-equipped gym, making it convenient to work out while enjoying the view. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The buffet had a fantastic selection of both Sri Lankan specialties and Western-style dishes, catering to every taste. The fresh tropical fruits were particularly amazing, and everything was well-prepared and delicious. The hotel proces also buffet lunc and dinner. The staff at the reception was incredibly helpful and welcoming, always ready to assist with any request. It was also very easy to get around the city using tuk-tuks or the PickMe app, making transportation hassle-free. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The modern design, excellent facilities, delicious food, and great service made our stay unforgettable. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had another wonderful stay at this hotel, and once again it truly deserves 5 stars. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, with excellent attention to cleanliness and quality in every detail. The staff are always kind, professional, and go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome. Customer service is outstanding—every request was handled promptly and with a smile. I would especially like to thank Kumar from the housekeeping team for his excellent work and dedication. His effort really added to the comfort of my stay. This is not my first visit, and each time I return, the service and standards are consistently excellent. I will definitely continue to recommend this hotel to others looking for a reliable and memorable experience.

This place is insane - the views from the rooms are mind-blowing and the pool is incredible. Really comfortable beds and wonderful shower. We spent a little more on this than other places on our trip as we wanted somewhere to wind down before our flights home and it really lived up to expectations. Really friendly staff and great location for exploring the city.

Just one thing - the smoke detector flashed like a lightning strike in our room. It wasn't a problem for us as we were only staying two days and you didn't notice it with your eyes shut but if we were staying longer we probably would have mentioned it as if you happened to open your eyes at the wrong time it was pretty blinding.

The root top amenities were the best aspects of our stay at Cinnamon. The pool, the staff manning pool and gym were good. The rooftop bar was excellent. I expected more from the room for such a well renown hotel, but it was okay. The breakfast and the staff at breakfast were very good.

Our check-in process was prolonged and the communication from the reception staff could have been better. They didn't look at me, they just kept discussing some issue amongst each other and then they all disappeared for awhile. No comms about what was happening until I had enough and spoke my mind. It was only then she looked at me and explained to me what was happening. We had all travelled the whole day by van and were looking forward to being welcomed by friendly staff. But the front desk is manned by two people, who don't seem very welcoming. First impressions matter.Housekeeping didn't attend to our room the next day. We had to call.

Was amazed only rated 3 star, better then many 4 stars have stayed in. Room good size, powerful shower in well designed bathroom. Housekeeping did great job. Rate included excellent breakfast with omlette station, and REAL back bacon as well in chicken bacon. Ate at restuarant and rooftop bar. Enjoyed both reasonably priced meals. Has pool and well equipped gym, had everything I needed , well done.

Getting a lift could be a pain. This hotel has 20+ accomodation floors and only 3 guest lifts. One morning I waited on the 10th floor and had 3 lifts come down which were fully loaded, and 2 more pass floor by. An ederly couple waiting with me said they sometimes got lift going up and then came down in it. This day they gave up waiting and walked down .

Large, comfortable rooms with panoramic views of the city. Friendly and helpful room staff.

I found the reception staff to be rather aloof and unsmiling on arrival, minimal niceties and talking among themselves as if the guest is not all that important. Elevators are rather small and tend to be slow and full during busy times. I had to change room when the a/c failed. I did get a better view but it took far too long to arrange the room change. The rooftop bar and restaurant has great views, but I found the booming music far too loud to relax there.

We enjoyed our stay at Cinnamon Red. Great modern hotel with rooftop bar and pool. Large buffet breakfast. Lovely comfortable room with a great view. Super staff. Nice Prawn restaurant a few doors down and convenience store across the road. Easy to get an Uber from outside the hotel to go into the city/station etc. We had train tickets sent to the hotel and staff looked after them for us until we arrived.

The DJ on the rooftop bar!! Started his set at 6.20pm one evening and totally killed the ambience with his loud play list. The place seemed to be full of guests enjoying a sun downer and discussions about their day and matey starts blasting out club tunes. Way too early to get the party started and the killed conversations. Pool was busy when we were there so didn't get to go in. You may encounter a couple of guys along the street outside the hotel saying they work at Cinnamon Red and try to strike up a conversation. Ignore them. Equally they may tell you there is a special annual festival that YOU MUST attend. Again ignore. It is a scam and one that occurs all over the city.
