Perhaps the best hotel I've ever been to. True 5 star experience from the moment you step out of your taxi to the moment you step back into the taxi that takes you away to your next adventure. I was greeted with a traditional Sri Lankan blessing, including oil and pigments on the forehead (you don't have to participate in this, of course, if you don't want to). Check-in was quick, extremely friendly, and professional. The room rate was even a few Euros cheaper than the price showed by booking because they charged my card in rupees, and my bank has a better exchange rate than booking.com. Now to the room. I had booked an executive room. This room is so big, you could have a dinner party with 20 people and it still wouldn't feel packed. Very large, extremely comfortable bed. I booked city view and the main, very large widow front was towards the Skyline of Colombo with breathtaking views (Lotus Tower is behind a newly build apartment building and is not visible from any room or the rooftop). However, there's also a small window on the other side of the room that had a view to the ocean. So I got a sea view from my bed and without having to pay extra for it (I don't know if that applies to all city view rooms, though). The bathroom is very large, with a large and deep bathtub that also has a spectacular view of the city. Right next to the bathtub is the shower with the same view and the strongest water pressure I have ever experienced in any hotel anywhere in the world. I don't even have that strong of a waterflow in my shower at home in Germany. This made the rain shower feel like a spa treatment. Bathtub fills within 5 minutes, and there's even a scented bathsalt. AC worked perfectly and stays on even though you take the room key out of the power slot. Any amenities you could think of are present in the bathroom. Even body lotion and shaving kit.

All windows could use a through cleaning from the outside, but I think there may be a lack of professional window cleaners in Colombo. You can't just send anyone to clean the outside face of a skyscraper, so I guess there's the problem. But the windows are still clean enough to enjoy the views and take great pictures.

A great location in central Colombo. The staff are so polite and go out of their way to help with things. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We had a big community group staying and they tried their best to look after us all and even offered an early breakfast one day at 3.30am.

The cleanliness could be improved as we found 2 big insects in our room during the stay and dusting was not adequate for a 5 star hotel. Also staying 12 nights we expected linen to be changed every 3-4 nights but were informed we have to request this, again expect this in 5 star especially in the heat.

We stayed in Junior Suite. We loved everything, and our kids loved the stay throughout. Specialy the rooftop pool... Moreover, the way we were greeted, the way we were looked after and treated by all the amazing staff members @NH Collection Colombo... such an amazing team... Thank you all... On the other hand, special thank you to Mrs Prasadi and the manager (sorry didn't ask his name) who went out of his way to accommodate us in the same room as we stayed... We had a wonderful stay at NH Colombo's! The hotel is perfectly located in the city center, close to all the main attractions. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had extremely comfortable beds and linens. A big highlight was the bathtub with a stunning ocean view – such a nice touch! We also enjoyed the rooftop pool and the warm, clean jacuzzi. The breakfast buffet was excellent – rich and varied, with so many options it was impossible to try everything in one sitting. Special thanks to the front desk staff – especially Gangali – for being so helpful and kind. Everyone at reception was welcoming and professional.

Quite expensive but all was perfect

Very nice hotel at great location. Room was so spacious, with big, comfy beds and big bathroom. View from the room and specially the shower was amazing. Pool and the bar at the rooftop offers a great place to relax after the day of sightseeing. If you don't want to use taxi or tuktuk to roam around the city, local bus station is couple of minutes away. Breakfast buffet was very diverse, with large variety of cuisine; from local to international and western. Free parking was very convenient and it was guarded 24/7.

Where do I start? It was 10 /10 experience. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The Sea Facing room was the highlight. The farthest Left and right was just the beautiful ocean. The swimming pool was surreal overlooking the Indian Ocean. The room service said they will send the food in 30 mins and guess what!! it was sent to us in exactly 30 mins!! We were checking out of the room ourselves but we got two staff members who helped us without us even asking for help. That shows how much they care for the guest. Top notch- Breakfast Buffet spread.

We are recurrent NH guests, this brand is synonymous for excellence and NH Collection Colombo reconfirmed what the brand stands for: Excellent facilities, extremely attentive and friendly staff (special compliments to Prasadi from the frontdesk, she was excellent!!), wonderful beds, and amazing breakfast. Rooftop Pool and jacuzzi are mindblowing, great gym, we really felt at home while being far away.

Friendly staff. Always helpful and with an open ear for all topics. Rooftop with pool, jacuzzi and bar is a real treat. Beds were very comfortable even for a guy like me at 199cm height. Breakfast area was impressive. Live cooking and fine variety of food for almost every taste. Stayed for 2 nights. Location is a nice homebase to explore Colombo from. Would recommend.

Restaurants located within the hotel are overpriced. High quality and delicious food though.

The rooms are spacious and really comfortable! Staff are great and service minded. The gym is really nice and clean too. The breakfast area is calm and with a big selection of food and drinks.

Some furniture in the rooms need an update as they are a bit dented (side tables and some bathroom furnishings). They can't cook eggs... 2 mornings, different types of egg orders in our group, and all of them were less than undercooked, even after pointing this out.

Excellent breakfast, quiet and spacious rooms in an excellent location. Unfortunately, I got ill during my stay. The staff went out of their way to arrange a doctor and medicine at short notice, which I very much appreciated, and helped me to recover swiftly.

Music at rooftop bar (far too loud, and a reason for me not to go there anymore).
