This is one of my favorite resorts in the world. It shocks me that it's in Pattaya, which is...not a top travel destination. But this resort feels so remote, is so perfectly designed, and is so amazingly self-contained - that it doesn't matter what city it's in. We didn't leave the resort for a week and were completely happy. I just remain shocked that something this perfect and remote-feeling can be so close to Bangkok. Incredible. So if you're deciding between Hua Hin or Pattaya or Samet or something accessible, this is the best choice for us. We have been to them all over the years, plus the harder-to-get-to spots, and the beauty-to-accessibility ratio of the Intercontinental Pattaya wins by a lot. As for what makes if so magical, it's as beautiful as the photos show. 3 huge pools, all curving and surrounded by plants and architecture and views - no two days feel the same. Plus the beach. And maybe we just got lucky, but regarding a complaint we saw in a review about too many kids...we didn't encounter that. It was 98% adults, all quiet and relaxed, everyone respectful of everyone else. Just a great vibe all around. And the staff! So kind and helpful - always bringing towels and free water when you arrive at a pool or the beach, allowing you to float around all day without carrying much. And while it's not a big cost to them, it's still an excellent touch to make sure everyone has free cold water all the time. 6 glass bottles a day in the room too. For the room, we did beach view on the 4th floor. I highly recommend it. The villas were gorgeous, but their location by the pools means you'll have people around. But it might be worth it. Can't say. I do know everyone seemed happy. Golf cart and luggage drop-off at the room is awesome, then everything is very easily walkable. It was perfect.

Nothing. It's perfect. Oh, actually I couldn't turn off the light under the bathroom sink. So now it's a balanced review.

The hotel is situated on a hillside, with multiple pools interlaced between guest rooms. There are lots of terraces and the whole area is green with palms, flowering trees, and views of the ocean. there are lots of lounge chairs and the staff will set you up quickly and graciously with towels, ice water, and any other food/drink you might desire. It is a wonderful place to relax. We were fortunate enough to have access to the Club Lounge, where the service and setting was ever more pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel!

The only and main downpoint is the old fashioned Aircondition. 1. Unpleasent noisy in the room. Even if you turn off the A/C you still get disturbed by the neighbor rooms A/C. 2. Adjustment choice is between super windy or "storm". Even the lowest level of Fan is unplesent. 3. The airflow goes directly towards the bed. That means you always exposed to the airflow when in bed. 4. It seems the A/C devices are quite old (easy to see) and poorly maintained.

Very comfortable. Very efficient and friendly staff. Excellent restaurants. The Italian has an excellent view and very good chef that knows how to make excellent Italian food with a Thai twist. I ate fettuccine ai frutti di mare (con Nero di Sapir) that was a little spicy that fits nicely the natural taste of the dish and make a little Thai….Awesome. The Thai cook made awesome dinners…very balanced cuisine that makes tasty food even for foreigners that ask for “less spicy”. The location of the hotel is great , secluded but 10 min drive from the center town (Pattaya Plaza).

Beautifully lush property, which is a haven of calm in the busy craziness of Pattaya. The staff was truly amazing, remembering the tiniest of details (preferred table, drink, etc) and providing great personalized service. Also, all the little extras were appreciated (free cool water bottles at the pools, popsicles were handed out every once in a while, free 10min complementary massages, etc) We stayed in a junior suite, which seemed to have been renovated quite recently. Super beautiful, spacious room. Double sinks, huge tub, nice amenities (incl Byredo products). We opted to stay club level, and we really enjoyed all the perks that came with that. We very much enjoyed our time at the resort and didn't even bother to leave the property to explorer Pattaya.

Some parts of the resort look a little older, but we saw them working on several areas, so it's probably W.I.P. to bring everything to the same standard. The gym is too small for a 5* property. Both the beach area and 1 pool were closed for refurbishment - which I understand has to happen - but it could've been spread out better so they were not off limits at the same time. Would have been nice to have been informed in advance about this, too. Wifi was a bit spotty in certain areas, but to be honest; we had a great time and would recommend staying here.

The doors to the rooms have a tendancy to slam if not taking care when opening and closing. Our neighbours with a young family kept slamming their door over and over often waking us up late at night or early morning. I believe something can be done to help the doors close quietly by themselves. Unfortunately the resort beach does not actually allow access to the sea. A real shame. Coffee at breakfast is not good. The hotel needs a proper barister and coffee machine which can make delicious coffee. (Which meets Australian high standards)

Excellent breakfast and beautiful food and service. Great pools and its own beach. shuttle bus to town was handy although we used grab cars which are very cheap and plentiful.

As usual in Thailand wine is over priced. A little too far to walk to town.

I have stayed here on several occasions and have always been treated to an enjoyable time there . The Staff top to bottom goes well beyond what is expected at a top of the line property such as this. My room included club access which enabled me to enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. Once again the staff is the star. A shuttle is also available that goes to the Central Mall, can be reserved and is a nice perk.

The only drawback is no beach access l, a nice beach but can't swim due to rock. Several swimming pools are available when you need to take a dip.

Pool was nice, got 3 of them but 1 had a section blocked off and no one was in it. Breakfast was good, room was spectacular! High ceilings, great style, the view is incredible.

The staff were hit and miss. Some were very friendly, whilst others had a standoffish attitude. The ones that were good, were amazing. Probably the best during my thailand stay.
