Lovely hotel in beautiful gardens just a few minutes walk to a fab beach where there were super sunsets. The room was huge and had conditioner as well as shampoo and body wash. The breakfast had such a varied choice and was definitely value for money. The hotel offered 24hr check in so it wasn't an issue that we arrived at 1am. The room was sprayed for mosquitos so we had no issues. There was a night market almost next door which served great value local food and if you want to book a boat trip I would recommend that you use the local travel office just up the hill as you can haggle on the price.

A policy to stop people reserving sunbeds as some towels were on the beds and never really used

The breakfast was great - freshly made pancakes, eggs and fresh fruit. The only things we missed were pure oatmeal, nuts and seeds. We loved the freshly pressed orange juice they served by the pool. The staff was exceptionally helpful, especially Bee, Suzy, Yaya, Abegai and Dear! They gave us a free cooking class because our friends got a room upgrade and we didn’t. They went out of their way to help us (without charging us) when we forgot our passports in another hotel. The location is very close to a kid friendly beach as well as shops and restaurants.

There were lots of mosquitoes around in the evenings, probably because of the many decorative ponds and channels in the hotel. We had the feeling that the pool could have been cleaner.

Quiet, mostly older couples, great location

How I was treated when I arrived. Not being given the accommodation I had pre booked and paid for.Trying to pawn me off with an “upgrade “that wasn’t really an upgrade.However the Hotel did admit their mistake and a senior manager , sorry I didn’t get her name, was excellent in rectifying the situation as quickly as she could which was the following day. We were treated very well after that and given 2 free spa treatments, a free bbq dinner for 4 , as we were with family/friends.

My Mum and I had the best stay. The facilities are very beautiful, breakfast has a very good variety, stuff was super friendly and there are shops and restaurants close by. The room had all amenities and an outside shower. The Gym was OK, the two pools are nice. Luckily there was no loud music playing, it was very quiet all in all. We highly recommend renting a vehicle in order to not depend on expensive tours or taxis

Its not a "beach hotel". Not that they would promote it, but one should know that the beach is on the other side of the road and not really nice. Also there are no loungers or bars or anything like that at the beach.

No elevator available for 2nd floor. The door to the room didn’t fit with the door frame, hence mosquitoes can easily access into the room. The water pressure inside the bathroom could be stronger.

Beautiful, old Thai style property. Stunning gardens, very serene- it feels like you’re in a lost world at certain times of the day. Wonderful spa, comfortable beds and clean rooms. Good breakfast, great location and friendly and helpful staff. Good sized pool with a good value food and drinks menus. We have stayed at the Bhandari a few times now and would go back again- there’s definitely something special about this property :)

The property is feeling a bit tired in parts but this is also part of its charm. The air conditioning is fiddly to use so you’re either freezing or sweating because you end up turning it off! The rooms could do with a few more charging points and a full length mirror

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff and near to the beach only a 1 min walk. The food at the hotel is good the breakfast ok if you like thai-food. Do not expect only western food, we are in Asia, you will get all sorts of things - enjoy! If you are booking a room with a pool terrace you will be guided to the adult wing with your own entrance to it and no children or what so ever. Good thing to relax! The staff is simply amazing! The front desk can help you with a taxi, or whatever you need and the housekeeping is amazing. everyone is here so that you can have a good, relaxing vacation. Try the fresh coconut or one of the smoothies, they are so delicious. Enjoy your stay and thanks Bhandari for a lovely time at your hotel!

the only thing I did not like were the pillows. One is too hard and the other one not soft enough. Could be better!

We really enjoyed our stay. The whole resort was very clean with staff continually tidying. The staff were super friendly and the resort beautiful. It even had resident monitor lizards. Our room was large and had a great private outdoor shower. The spa facilities were great and the spa ladies very professional. The breakfast was yummy and had plenty of variety for our 8 night stay. There were enough loungers at the pool and also the option to go to the resort next door and use their facilities and adults only pool. The location was just a short walk to shops and taxis easy to get.

The beach wasn't great and had a lot of rubbish but there was a beautiful beach further north for swimming and paddleboarding.

Large room, comfortable bed. Bedside tables, lamps and plenty of pillows. We were very close to the pool. The pool is nice with lots of sunbeds. The breakfast is good, offering a variety of choices, including Thai food, fresh eggs cooked to your liking, fresh fruit, pastries, freshly baked bread, fresh juice, and a coffee machine. Happy hour cocktails were delicious. There is a bar next door and a market. Short walk to the beach and the main road.
