A lovely hotel with good-natured staff. A big comfortable bed, there is no air conditioning, fans provided and thankfully the windows open. It is on a fairly busy tram street, so you will hear traffic if your room is at the front. A good sized room, cleaned everyday with fresh water for chilling in the fridge. Location worked for me & colleagues - easy to get into the city via metro or tram. Breakfast room is lively, and good natured with lots of choices for everyone including some Czech specialities. I was here for work, and it made an ideal space to retreat to and work at the desk or relax. Locally there are parks, cafes and supermarkets.

Nothing, but the lack of air-con. A good-humoured staff who handled the international guests very well. Hotel Taurus is an established hotel, rather than a corporate chain - so would be great to see more Czech specialities at breakfast. But thank you for a wonderful stay.

Breakfast was super good, with lot of choices. They did an effort to switch some things of the menú everyday. Location was really good, walking distance to very nice restaurants and iconic places like the tv tower. Metro station was 5 minutes walk and 2 stops to the city center. Staff was kind, suggested restaurants, handed over umbrellas and coordinated transportation in a timely manner. We had a minor electricity disruption and staff coordinated a technician that fixed the issue in the following 60 minutes. Weather was warm so we had to use the fans provided by the hotel, but it was not uncomfortable. Fully recommended

Floor was creaking when you walked in the room. Some of the window frames need maintenance.

Charming and Authentic Stay in the Heart of Prague During my visit to Prague, I stayed at a hotel that truly captured the spirit of the city. From the moment I walked in, I felt immersed in the local culture. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. One of the highlights was the spacious breakfast area, offering a generous selection each morning in a relaxed setting. The location was excellent—just steps from the metro and within easy walking distance to many key sights, shops, and restaurants. It’s situated in a very walkable neighborhood, making it ideal for exploring the city on foot. Overall, it was a wonderful stay that combined convenience, comfort, and a true sense of Prague. Highly recommended for travelers looking to experience the city in an authentic way.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and of a good size. And the included breakfast buffet is a tremendous value with a great variety of fresh and tasty items (even a few things for vegans). But the best thing about Hotel Taurus is its location just one block away from a metro station and in a neighborhood with many restaurants, pubs, and shops nearby.

The bed pillow was very soft and formless. I asked the front desk if they had a more firm pillow and they said it would be delivered to my room. When I returned to my room later that day, I found two soft and formless pillows on top of one another. I would stay at Hotel Taurus again but perhaps bring my own pillow next time.

Very nice, comfy hotel for good price. Great location - you have metro and tram withing 3 mins of walk, lots of cafés, restaurants etc. nearby and the hotel is really near the new as well as old city center. I appreciate the option of digital digital self check in in advance. Saves a lot of time. You can also order e.g. prosecco to the room for fair price. The room was spacious, clean with really comfy beds, bathroom ok too. Breakfast was standard, quite wide range of everything, however nothing really special. The only negative was poor coffee.

If you have room to the street, count with some noise coming from there.

Striking old building, very well placed away from the centre but in a lovely area. Good sized room, comfy bed, useful chair and desk area. Tea and coffee facilities very welcome. Spacious bathroom with plenty of hot water and toiletries. Tasty breakfast.

Larger towels please. Quite noisy as people made their way to the lift at 3am (we were not as close to this as some rooms) but I think that is the other residents being inconsiderate rather than any fault of the hotel.

The room was spacious. The bathroom facilities were great, it had a powerful shower, good amount of towels and toiletries available. Tea and coffee facilities were available and a small fridge and safe in the room. The mattress was very comfy. Breakfast times were from 7am until 10 am and there was a wide range of both hot and cold food available, we ate early and late once and there was always the same wide choice available. The location was great for local transport into the centre by tram or metro. Staff were helpful and the airport shuttle service they organised was comfortable and reliable. .

The pillows were a bit too soft for my taste

It's a very pretty hotel with kind staff and beautiful rooms. The receptionist has helped us a lot by allowing us to checkout an hour later, so that we could have enough time to visit the city center. The metro station is a quick walk away and I recommend everyone to visit "Magical Sova" a Harry Potter themed cocktail bar which is right around the corner.

This may be limited to our room, but since our window was aimed towards the street, there was a lot of noise from traffic (cars and trams). The room was also quite warm so I highly recommend booking a room with air-conditioning if the outside temperature is above 25 degrees.

The bed was good, but it could be a little more comfortable because it was a little hard. Breakfast was delicious, you can find something salty or sweet depending on your mood. Coffee machine did the trick perfectly.

Not a single complaint. But because I have to write something... next time we visit I will request something on a higher floor to avoid the street noise, and to leave the window open at night.

Amazing hotel! 🌟 Spotless rooms, beds so comfortable you never want to get up, and breakfasts that are a true feast with an incredible variety of delicious options. The staff is wonderfully friendly and always smiling, and special applause goes to Jan at the reception for his warmth, helpfulness, and professionalism. ❤️ If we ever visit Prague again, we’ll come back here without a second thought!
