the cleanness of the hotel rooms was perfect the breakfast was perfect and delicious and it has a good variety all the staff’s was very kind and polite specially mr islam in reception and mr karim from housekeeping ; hotel has a good access to metro station and close way to dubai mall

-the women bathroom in the lobby was a little smelly and warm because of the bad air conditioner -the room beds was too soft so it wasn’t comfortable for us -our room was connected room so our next rooms sound was so loud even if they talk normally in another room we could to hear them clearly specially in the midnight (so the rooms are not sound proof)

Highly recommend this hotel, perfect location, near Dubai mall. Nice, friendly staff, breakfast is very good with many options. We had access to club lounge where during the day we had complimentary drinks with different snacks, sweets and fruits. Food is delicious. Room is very big and comfy. We had fabulous view with Burj Khalifa. Really enjoyed staying in the hotel.

The location was perfect, food was great and room was fantastic in size and view.

We had a hard time getting taxis and were even told one evening that they could offer a hotel van which would only cost a little over the taxi and which was totally untrue because on return we did get a taxi and we paid out 80 and returned paying 8!!!

I recently stayed at Sofitel Dubai Downtown and overall had a very pleasant experience. Positives: • The location is excellent—just a short walk from Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, which made getting around really convenient. • Breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options to choose from each morning. • The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. • Club access was a big plus, offering complimentary drinks and food in a relaxing setting. • The rooms were spacious, with a very soft and comfortable bed. • I also appreciated how well the rooms were insulated—there was no noise from outside, and the thick curtains made it easy to keep the room completely dark for a good night’s sleep. Areas for improvement: • Some small service details were missing, like the soap dispensers not being refilled daily. • Compared to other luxury hotels in Dubai, the experience felt slightly less personal. There was no handwritten welcome card or extra thoughtful touches, and the car wasn’t opened for me each time I arrived or left the hotel, which is something I’ve come to expect in similar hotels in the city. All in all, my stay at Sofitel Downtown was wonderful.

We stayed for a night at Sofitel Downtown after staying for three nights at Taj Exotica. Our review of Sofitel is, therefore, influenced by our experience at the Taj. We decided to stay here because of a) the proximity to Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, and b) our early morning departure the next day. We arrived here around 1:40 PM and the check-in took around 10-12 minutes. The standard check-in time was 3 PM and the rooms were not ready yet but the executive at the reception still tried to see if we could place our luggage in the room before heading for Burj Khalifa. We appreciated his gesture. After returning from the Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa after 3 hours, we were pleased to find that our luggage was kept in our room. We had upgraded to a room with bunk beds and our kids absolutely adored the bunk beds. We liked the room size, the decor and the view of Sheikh Zayed Road from our room. The bathroom was spacious and the bath area slightly different and funky. What we appreciated the most was the fact that bathrobes and the room slippers provided were not just for the two adults (two of us) but also for the two kids (kid size bathrobes and slippers). This could be a minor thing for most, but for someone who was just coming out of another five-star hotel, this attention to detail was touching. We ordered the dinner and liked to taste, the portion size, the accompaniments, and the relatively modest food price. We had placed a request for early take-away breakfast and were amazed to find four large breakfast kits ready at the time of checkout. We also liked the pleasant demeanor of every staff we met during our short stay. We didn't get chance to experience other facilities of the hotel and but would love to return soon to experience those.

Points of improvement 1) The room door did not remain at one place/next to the wall when opened and needed to be held while the food/luggage was being brought in. 2) Check-out took slightly more time than expected due to only two of the desks being functional. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait too long as the third desk opened soon, probably after seeing us wait for some time. 3) The second TV placed next to the bunk beds could not be started despite our best efforts. Since we were tired, we didn't bother calling the reception or the housekeeping for help.

Breakfast was good, range of options which was great, pool area nice and hotel room was lovely and cleaned each day to an exceptionally high standard, a very pleasant stay overall thank you.

We had club access as part of our stay with unlimited soft drinks. When we went to ask for some water for our room on the first day, it was no issue at all and we signed to say we had taken it but then on two other occasions we went to ask to take things like a diet coke and one particular staff member wasn't keen to let us do it. If it is the hotels policy that you can't take things and have to have them within the lounge then that is fine and we should have just been told that - but there seems to be mixed messages amongst staff members which left us feeling a bit awkward about asking so in the end we went to a supermarket so I think just to be clearer on that will help other guests moving forward.

Conveniently located near Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, the Hotel is right next to the Metro station Burj Khalifa, allowing quick transportation anywhere, and taxis are also readily available. It is ideal for a short and efficient visit to Dubai. The rooms are adequately spacious and quite comfortable. The pool and club is also a welcome escape from the heat. You can drowse in the pool with an excellent view of Burj Khalifa. (They can also see you, an ant in a pond, from the Observation Deck.)

There are many luxurious boutique hotels in Dubai, but for comfortable economic convenience, Sofitel is the place for you.

Little Robbie (Robert), Steven, and Akram are super nice and friendly at Reception! We also liked the variety at buffet breakfast. The hotel is in a very good location to access the Dubai Mall. We had a good sized room with a view of Downtown.

Their main swimming pool area is currently under renovations (this should be completed before the end of 2025), but their outside pool is still nice.

the pool is good the gym is ok coastline view is great, not close to, but very informative the room is great the location is perfect for subway users breakfast is ok but you get used to it very fast - not surprising if you are gonna use subway - this is perfect choice. for other cases - you should compare better.

at my b-day there was nothing left in the room just to improve my experience and make this place more unique among others. small notices, FYI: - cleaning service twice took bathrobe without any fresh replacement, amount of small towels was always different from 0 to 2 (in the room for 2 persons). - at the breakfast - cottage cheese has specific salty taste, no condensed milk

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. Nothing too much bother. Spotlessly clean throughout Hotel. Pool was lovely, and very relaxing. Breakfast was first class and plentiful with lots of different cuisine to try, staff were very attentive. Our bedroom was beautiful with everything we could possibly need, and was cleaned every day to a very high standard. We would certainly stay at Sofitel again next time we were in Dubai.
