Lovely, old hotel, great facilities although I never used them this time, beautiful surrounding breakfast was very good. Rooms were a very good size. The staff was very obliging

The mirror had what looked like spit on it when I arrived. They were quick to come and remove it, but the mirror was all smeared. I think they used detergent instead of window cleaner. There was a lot of dust on lamps, and pretty much all of the mirrors in the room needed a good clean. The sink looked like it was wiped down but not cleaned. When you go for dinner, they will not allow a tab. I had to buy a drink and pay for it, order my food and pay for it, go to the bar for another drink and pay for it... that surprised me, given how great everything else was. I guess too many people leave with our paying..

Great value for money, the hotel and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Parking was very easy and lots of space. There is a lift to all floors. We were given a choice of which floor we would like to stay on which was really nice. Free wifi was really helpful and worked very well. Lots of space to sit downstairs and work/watch TV etc if you didn't want to be in the room. We didn't use the spa but the posters around the hotel had lots of good deals, if we had stayed longer we would have taken advantage of that. It wasn't very busy and the noise levels were low.

Pillows were quite uncomfortable and we had to ask for more as we were only given two on the bed at first. Plug sockets were no where near the bed which was quite annoying. The breakfast was quite expensive (£28 for two) and it wasn't worth it. It was nice food, a mixture of hot food (sausages, eggs etc) and cold but it wasn't worth as much as we paid and was just average. No hand soap in the bathroom so we had to use the body wash provided instead, not a massive problem but a small detail.

Lovely surroundings with lovely dog walks. Room lovely and clean. Bed just a little to hard for me personally but cannot please everyone. Would have preferred a walk in shower rather than over bath shower but it was powerful and nice and hot. Lovely swimming pool which grandaughters enjoyed.

On arrival receptionist had to change our room. Had requested ground floor as was taking a dog. On arrival found we had been given a 3rd floor room but this was quickly sorted. Luckily there was still ground floor availabilty. Only a minor point but had to request another cup. Only 2 been put in room even though I had booked for 3. Rooms need Air Con.

Beautiful location and building very relaxing environment

Only thing I can think of is the staff in the Restaurant never smiled and were quite stern it didn’t make us feel very welcome, also lack of coffee in the room I found myself always going to reception to ask for some more

We stayed at Hollins Hall Hotel for one night initially as we had to go to Bradford CC the next day. It was a last minute booking on the day before we arrived. The staff on reception were professional and very helpful and welcoming. Our room was a little dark as there were trees directly outside the window. However, the bedroom was comfortable and located on the ground floor. This was ideal as we had our dog with us. The grounds were huge and lovely to walk around. The facilities were very good especially the swimming pool, jacuzzi etc at the spa and the gym. The breakfast buffet was good and the food from the bar and grill upstairs was a very good standard and well presented in the evening. We enjoyed it so much we had to return two days later to the same venue in Bradford so booked a second night stay with more family members. This time I had my swimming things with me so was able to make use of the pool which was lovely. We also enjoyed a second meal at the bar and grill to celebrate a birthday. Thank you.

Offering bottled water in the room on arrival would be nice.

Suite was superb, spacious, clean, comfortable ( a real touch of luxury). Food in the grill was also very good (Night restaurant staff were very helpful and gave a really good service. The young lady with the wonderful personality and the lady with the short dark hair made us feel like it was a pleasure to serve us. Breakfast was also very good and offered a varied choice.

The night we booked coincided with a wedding which meant that some of the public areas were inaccessible to the public which limited us to having to sit in the bar/grill, which was crowded and noisy at lunch/afternoon due to a golf event taking place - unfortunate. Was told we couldn't order afternoon/cream tea as we had to give two days notice - very unusual!

I had travelled to Bradford for my son’s wedding and wanted somewhere local to stay. Because of this I didn’t have the opportunity to make use of the other facilities. But my brother who was also staying with his family were able to go have a swim which I think they enjoyed. I want to mention the lovely staff who were very welcoming and friendly x everyone was smiling and helpful, thankyou this makes such a difference I thought the room size was very good and comfortable. Possibly a little cold.

The only points were *with no main light in the bedroom it was a bit dark to see clearly with my eye sight. * it was a little frustrating that there were no sockets for standard plugs by the bedside tables. * I thought the price for breakfast was rather pricy especially if you don’t have a big appetite * My daughter and her husband who were also staying both said they were very cold over both nights.

The hotel grounds, tree swing and seating on the front lawn. The staff were all incredibly helpful and pro-active. A good breakfast. Bedroom was clean and bed was comfy.

The duo of chicken (evening meal) had a crusty coating which was far too think and it did not taste very nice. If I had to be really picky, they had run out of some breakfast items (pain au chocolate, croissants and melon) and it took quite a while for them to fill it up. The melons were both a bit tasteless. Because it was such a hot day, the cheese had melted in their plastic wrappers. Having said that, the staff offered to put the cheese in the fridge (which was her idea and was much appreciated by me - thank you) and the breakfast was filling and a pretty good selection to choose from.

Food was excellent. Staff were friendly. Facilities were good for our meeting. Golf course was well kept and challenging

The drink selection in the bar was really poor. Guinness was off, Their premium beer (Poretti) was off. The remaining beers, Tubourg, Carlsberg and Tetley were flat and not very nice at the best of times. A bottled ale in the fridge would be an improvement if keeping one of draught is too much hassle. Certainly worth looking into?

The hotel is beautiful and has lots of beautiful features like stain glass windows and rooms to sit in and relax, it is high up on a hill and the landscape is beautiful, even with all the snow it was very magical. Our room was a standard double but it was warm, clean, and very comfortable, had no issues, I called for extra pillow, which was given to me straight away, even with the fire alarm going off (a false alarm) it was still a great stay, food was great breakfast and dinner and all staff were friendly and polite. Thank you for a great stay in a beautiful area. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
