Wow. The location is absolutely STUNNING ! One of the most beautiful places we have stayed. Literally on the beach front with gorgeous views. We paid a bit extra for a sea view and it was was absolutely worth every penny. The room was lovely, clean and quite spacious despite the extra bed we had requested. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast with lots of choice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient. The beds were very comfortable and clean, we slept very well. The shower was very powerful and it was useful having a bath option too. The bathroom hand wash/lotions wash/shampoo etc was nice quality and generous. We would absolutely stay here again and we were very sad to leave the stunning location.

Decor a little bit dated in areas. We found a squashed wasp on our wall. We weren't too keen on the restaurant food in the evening which felt overpriced unfortunately (although I had the steak which was absolutely delicious! ) however breakfast was great and top notch. Because we needed an extra bed there was too much furniture for the space, we had to move some tables and chairs around so we could move around comfortably with the kids and the suitcase as space was tight. Door of balcony was quite squeaky, heavy and loud to open (but was very good at soundproofing!) It's worth noting it's also used as a conference space so the lifts/halls can be quite busy at times.

The breakfast were top of the top, there was everything. The place was near to bus stops, which was also nice. The room had a bed, tv, also a little chair-couch with a nice view. The room includes only 2 glasses so we couldn't make food ourselves. Bathroom was also nice, it had a bathtub.

The hotel presents itself with a pool, sauna and fitness. Pool is very very small, fitness is one small room with barely any equipment, and saunas are for approximately 4 people max, which would get very packed in the evening. I didn't like that. Also for the price we paid I would expect more modern TV with internet. Also if you are not a fan of small children, don't go. There was a lot of them

Location, location location. Another great stay at The Helnan. The staff and location make this hotel and it was good to see a new menu and chefs in the restaurant. It's a shame the parking is no longer free and the parking apps hit and miss, but thankfully with help from reception I got a refund from ParkPark - use the Easypark app if you can. There are fantastic sea views and noise from the waves. Very comfy beds. We also had our Company conference here and our Christmas party this year and good fun was had by all.

Better value parking would be good. More fruits - melon, pineapple, and berries at breakfast as previously offered (herring would also be good !) New eco-friendly toiletries on the wall are not as good as the previous small bottles - the scent is quite unpleasant and the product inferior. The Christmas party on fridays meant the hotel was overly busy.

The room was big and comfortable, with an amazing view. The bathroom was also quite large and water pressure was good. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of different options. Personally I like cheese, bread, eggs and sausage.

The extra towels for the pool and the sauna area are provided at the front desk. We didn't know this because none asked or told us, We saw the sing at the entrance of the pool area and this means at that point we need to upstairs and walk to the front desk with our swimming suits which we didn't feel comfortable doing so. If the towels for the pool was available at the area before the pool where the gym is also located, it would be much easier and convenient.

Location is good, and so was the service. On the website it states that the rooms with view on the forest have a bathtub: they don't. Also was my view not the forest, but the parking lot?! That room was really not worth the money and I requested a bathtub. Girl at the reception offered room at seaview. Had to pay 150 DKK extra, but it was absolutely worth it. Great view, firm and comfortable bed, good breakfast and nice small swimmingpool.

Room at the parking lot is really overpriced. Very disappointed when I saw it. You can't open the curtains as you'll be stared at by smoking men. So much for privacy. Go for the sea view. Hotel in general needs updating, old furniture and carpets in general areas. Room at seaside was nice. Ventilatorpipe in the bathroom is blocked and continuous noisy. But had a great stay and will be back.

I would like to note at this point that there might be some people who will give a bad review on the day of our stay because the hot water wasn't working in the morning. However, I would like to add that this was absolutely not the fault of the hotel, and certainly not the staff, as the outage was caused by a completely unrelated construction site in the vicinity of the hotel. Therefore, this should not be reflected negatively in the review. All in all: The hotel is beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet is sensational. Always a pleasure to stay here.

The location, the dining room, the fact that rooms have their own balconies just above the beach, cleanliness.

It was disappointing that no food was offered on the Sunday evening. I understand why the restaurant was closed, but the offer of a cold buffer would have been appreciated. As a solo traveller without my own transport, and because of the location of the hotel away from the city centre, it was difficult to find somewhere to eat locally.

Location was very good. Good view over the water. Close to bus for visiting Aarhus. Room was a good size. Quiet

Lack of drink making facilities and a mini fridge is unusual. Luckily we could take our own mini kettle etc but room would be much better with these facilities or if drinks were available all day in an area of the hotel.

Great sea view from your room. Huge window. Great area for walks, running. Direct access from hotel building to beach. Swimming pool and sauna (both dry and wet) are really great.

Fitness area is really poor. Cardio machines are not working. 4 pair of dumbells with max being 9kg. No pull up bar, no bench. Excercise atlas being the only one usefull however only one person at a time can use it and it doesn’t work very smooth. Fitness ball, mats are there. It would be really great to upgrade this a little since there is nice view on sea

- the unique stunning view - absolutely no Noise (neither from inside nor from outside) - the Area around is very beautiful (Highy recommend to Walk along the coastline or in the nearby forrest) - breakfast was much better than expected given all the negative reviews here, only the coffee wasńt that good
