We stayed for 7 nights in August. The hotel is in a great location, not too far from the metro and within walking distance of many sights. We liked that it was across from the series of ponds which was great for walking or running. The room (our 3rd) was very nice. It was spacious and the bathroom was nice. There seem to be many different sizes and styles of rooms within the same category and we didn't like the one provided initially so we opted for a smaller and newer one for our first night until we could get a better one in the category we booked. Others reviewers had raved about breakfast so our expectations were high. To us it seemed decent and it had very healthy options but not a lot of variety. We have definitely had better and also worse buffets. The staff were very friendly, apart from the person who checked us in. We didn't get a good vibe initially but it got much better from day 2 onward. Their cozy hour, offering a free drink was a nice touch at the end of the day. We would stay there again.

A few little things - our room was not vacuumed, the gym is small and has limited equipment and I think I would worry staying there in mid-summer because the rooms don't have A/C. Our room was definitely on the warm side for a couple of nights. The fan provided did help. Bike rental is expensive at the hotel given the quality of the bikes.

The new rooms are really lovely. Amazing decor, comfortable, spacious, lovely bathroom.

We initially got put in an old room (superior double) and it was nothing like the pictures advertised - it smelt of drains, was smaller, had a bed with 2 single mattresses side by side, had no decor and an unattractive bath shower. I don’t believe that these rooms should be given to people who have booked using the pictures that are shown on booking.com nor do I think they should be priced the same as the newer rooms as they are miles apart in terms of standard. I think the hotel needs to honestly show photos of the old rooms and give people the opportunity to book these rooms for cheaper if they choose to.

Breakfast wasn’t included for our stay but there was a really cute and fabulous market place so close to the hotel where we found excellent breakfast and lunch options

We wished the hotel provided free loan of umbrellas for guests. Traveling from USA of course we didn’t considered to carry an umbrella with us in our luggage, we were surprised to see that the hotel offered umbrellas for rent paying a day price. The hotel could have been generous with guests regarding this matter. On vacation the last thing we wanted to do was fumbling with the paying machine for (very needed) umbrella’s rent.

This is the 3rd time I have now stayed here in the 5 times that I have stayed in Copenhagen The location, the facilities, and the value for money are part of why I return to this hotel as a choice among many nearby .However, the primary reason is down to the friendly, welcoming customer service approach from their staff, beforehand with requests ,the check-in experience team, and bar staff alike. Cleaning standards are high. The catering team is helpful .The chef offers a very vast menu catering for many dietary ranges, including GF too. The hotel has a very relaxed feel, even amongst their busiest days or cosy hour that overall If you're in search of the famous Danish Hygge culture, you'll find that here with selected "cosy hour" drinks 5pm to 6pm daily on the house A spa salon on site, too

Nothing . The team are quick to respond to any challenges you may have or queries I had a small disappointment on my last most recent trip, but team member Amellie's approach showed empathy, was apologetic, and demonstrated genuine desire to find alternative solutions. The alternative was very much appreciated ..thank you Amellie good choice!

The Hotel Kong Arthur is my go-to hotel for Copenhagen and after a first positive experience on my first trip to the city, I chose it again for my current trip. The location is perfect - a close five minute walk to the metro/train and just outside of the tourist trap zone, so it's a quieter location. The rooms are compact and efficient with a lovely comfortable bed and excellent bathroom with a glorious shower. Scandinavian, it is. Staff are friendly and very helpful, typical of the Danish. Concierge offers good suggestions for things to do and places to eat and I cannot find a single thing to nitpick at. Speaking of food, please try the excellent La Rocca Italian restaurant that's located right next door and a short walk across the courtyard. Ended up dining there thrice during our visit because the food is so good and after several exhausting days exploring Copenhagen and surrounding towns, it was a logical choice. (Hint - get the Copenhagen Card when visiting - trains/metro/bus/museums etc included). As the Terminator said, "I'll be back".

As March weather can be a bit chilly, the hotel rooms did have the heat on (radiators) - the thermostat on the wall does not change the temperature, LOL. I opened a window and mentioned it to the front desk who offered the same advice. Not a criticism at all, but more of a quaint quirk.

This is a beautiful hotel in a really good location from which to explore Copenhagen. Though the hotel seems quite far out, all the main sites are walkable from the hotel and it was lovely to come back to a slightly quieter spot after a busy day! We didn't use them but the hotel does offer bikes to hire for the day if you prefer this to walking. We opted for a superior double room which was huge! The room and bathroom were well equipped, clean and comfortable. We spent 4 nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it!

The only thing that was slightly negative for us was the price of the breakfast against the limited choices on offer each morning. That being said this did not impact our stay!

The hotel is located in a wonderful area. Near lots of shops, restaurants and the Metro. It is very walkable to many interesting sites also. The room was nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable and the temperature in the room was ideal. The bathroom was alright. The body wash and lotion were lovely. I enjoyed using these items each day because the scents were very appealing.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The only thing that was weird was that my room was not cleaned daily, while my friend's rooms were cleaned regularly and our rooms were next to one another. I had to ask the hotel for my room to be cleaned a couple of times.

this is a well located and large older hotel with nice food and beverage and lobby options. Like Copenhagen, its not much of a value. Rooms are clean, but not generous in size. There is a comfortable bathroom, but absolutely no room for toiletries. There is an excllent breakfast, at about $40 per person, but no a la carte option. Staff is helpful, but typically very busy and a bit stressed. Its great for a short visit. The promised city view was an internal court, and they absolutely would not accept early arrival. They do offer it for a modest rate of $45 for three hours. They tend to promise a bit more than they deliver.

Good location...clean and up to date room. Daily room service.

One of our favorite stays of our trip! The hotel is beautifully decorated and the options at cozy hour were a plus! The location was great and the fact that the hotel had a back entrance helped you get to where you needed faster. Lots of food options/stores walkable nearby. They offered free yoga classes in the morning during the summer time which was a treat! The gym was a bit small but very clean and well furnished with equipment. We also loved the high quality toiletries that they had in the rooms. Beds are nice and firm which we loved as well and bedding was very comfortable. There is no AC but we didn't need it as there was plenty of air flow from the windows.

There are a good number of stairs that you need to take if you enter from the front of the hotel and there is no elevator/ramp/doorman to help assist you with your luggage. So if you have a lot of luggage, it is better to be dropped off from the back where there is a ramp although the back entrance is not obvious. There were some details about the hotel that were not mentioned at check-in that could be easily missed such as the yoga class and location of gym.

It was very warm in Copenhagen when we were there and there wasn't air conditioning in the 2nd floor room we were given so we had to keep the windows open to get cooler air. The noise from the street kept us awake. The room was tired - the sofa was worn, the loo was stained the shower curtain wasn't great. We moved to the 4th floor overlooking a courtyard. The room had recently been refurbished and it was a lot cooler in so many ways. The hotel is great. lots of places to sit, have a drink and read a book. Its a short walk to the centre and because of that you can visit lovely bars, shops and restaurants that are so much nicer than the tourist places.

I wish we'd been given the better room at the beginning but the staff were very pleasant and quick to rectify it. Breakfast wasn't as good as its billing and it was expensive (but then everything is in Copenhagen) so we ate at the local food market.
