The location is fantastic, and just a very short walk to the Rundetaarn (round tower) & about a 15 min walk to Nyhavn. Lots of shops & restaurants nearby but there’s no need to venture out of the hotel as the bars & restaurants are phenomenal. The reception staff were all super friendly & helpful throughout our stay. The mini bar was free & replenished on request. As we were visiting for my Sister’s birthday, the reception staff gave us complimentary cakes in cafe duse. The service in Neni was also faultless. The sauna was open 10am-10pm during our stay in January & was clean & lovely to relax in. The reception desk provides robes, slippers & towels for this. We stayed in room 267 & it was very quiet & we couldn’t hear any noise from the other rooms. There’s a safe & regular sized hairdryer in the room also. Absolutely loved the decor! Would definitely stay here again.

The only thing I didn’t like was the £500 hold fee on the room that was requested on arrival. This wasn’t specified at time of booking or in any confirmation emails. Also we booked cafe duse at 4.30pm for afternoon tea but we were told they’d already stopped serving it.

It’s a really interesting hotel with loads of unique features. The location is as good as you could need for Copenhagen, in fact we did everything from here on foot with the exception of a day trip to Malmo in Sweden (totally worth a visit)

Rooms are quirky and have most features you require except an iron. If you like a cozy room though, you may be disappointed. Great shower, separate toilet, comfy bed and soft pillows are standout features however.

No option to have room cleaned until after a third nights stay. Positioned as an environmentally friendly feature however not having bins emptied or dirty towels removed was a negative.

This was our second time staying at this property and it really is our favorite hotel in Copenhagen; stylish and comfortable, super friendly staff, great beds, excellent breakfast and a fabulous location.

This is a truly wonderful hotel in a brilliant central location. Breakfast was varied and fresh. The reception, shop and bar areas are delightful, comfortable, quirky and staff are excellent, efficient, friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and enjoyed it. The room was comfortable (the curtains were somewhat surprising!) and the mini bar is free and replenished. It was one of the best stays we’ve had in a hotel.

Only a couple of things that would have improved our stay. Towels are on the small size. Our room was far away from reception and there were steps to manage with no handrails (there are the same from the bar to reception and also into the restaurant) after using the lift - this was not explained. As I’m recovering from a knee replacement I would have preferred to know that and would have requested a room on the flat.

Loved the quirky vibes of this hotel - you could tell a lot of thought had gone into it and it wasn’t just your bog standard hotel. It felt so well looked after and the little nooks as you walk through are amazing! The staff are all so warm, friendly and attentive without the snooty air that some concierge staff have. Loved the little added touches to our room - the speaker, the hotel newspaper, the crap taxidermy book, the canvas bag you can borrow, the toiletries, the free mini bar! We booked a standard king and it was a really good sized room - was a bit concerned it would be too small after reading some reviews but it was perfect. Really couple friendly hotel for a quirky romantic getaway, the cocktails in both the main hall and Rendezvous were incredible! The bartenders in Rendevous were so friendly and gave top notch service! Dined at Neni one night and the food was amazing, waiting staff were really attentive and friendly (one didn’t seem to like me and only spoke to my boyfriend, but other than that they were great) Love that they are very conscious of eco-friendly practices and they deliver world class service without compromising this. Fully recommend this hotel and we are already talking about planning our next visit!

Really REALLY minor, but our toilet paper wasn’t restocked for 3 days and had to go ask for some more when the cleaning service was tending to another room. Also minibar isn’t automatically restocked and you had to go ask at reception, but again it’s so minor it didn’t impact on how much we loved the hotel

Very attractive and well decorated hotel and room (Danish Hugge done well!!), comfortable bed, outstanding breakfast, great WiFi, perfect location, onsite restaurants/bars. Good vibe in general, always felt good walking back into hotel.

Front desk service was very, very slow. Poor Air conditioning in room and not able to open windows. Bathroom sink backed-up twice (not fixed properly the first time, gross!) Phonograph in record/album room didn't work 5 nights out of 6, until last night after I spoke to desk staff several times and offered to go buy the needle myself, management got involved, problem fixed).

Stayed for 5 nights with husband and 12-yr old daughter. Pros: -Location was absolutely perfect. Right in the midst of everything. We walked everywhere and when we left we walked to metra to airport in a snap. -Get the breakfast with your room. It was a nice spread with something for everyone. We tried to eat around 10, then have an early dinner out so we only had to worry about one meal a day. -Also ate at their restaurant, NENI, for dinner one night and the skirt steak was my best meal all week. -The decor is unique and beautiful. Have many pictures in my phone of ideas for my own house. -Functional typewriters in the lobby were so much fun.

Cons: -Wouldn’t recommend for families with young children. The rooms aren’t designed for any privacy; shower is kind of open with glass door in the room. -Room 125, and I assume others along that wall, was noisy late at night with folks outside. -Thought it was a stretch to charge us for an extra bed for our 12-yr old when that bed was a pull out sofa already in the room. -In room coffee was pour over with complicated instructions and for the price i expect something more convenient -Quite a few stairs getting in/out and around the place with no railings.

Overall it is a feast for the senses, a unique and fun hotel that is an explosion of sumptuous creativity. The staff were friendly and very helpful, everyone says good morning. The layout, decor and furnishings are a clash of soft colours and retro inspired luxury. There's so much to take in and everyday I saw something new - the cheeky pattern on my bedroom curtains haha! Perfect location, 5 minute walk to the Metro so was convenient to/from the airport. That's the only time I needed public transport as everything else is within walking distance e.g. Tivoli Gardens was 15 mins walk south. This area is just north of the main tourist area and therefore has a much better offering of places to eat and drink. There are so many little cobbled streets to explore with quirky cafés and stores. The main pedestrianised shopping area is just behind the hotel and has a mix of high street and high end brands. There's a supermarket just across the street should you need anything. Just north of this area are the botanic gardens and museums, so plenty on offer.

My room looked onto the shopping area so I was woken a few times each night by late night revellers. If possible ask for a room that looks onto the secret garden.

Very fun, quirky hotel. I love the bar, the records room and there is even a reading room with a fireplace. The staff were very friendly. The room itself was comfortable although small but by city standards it is as expected. The room was so pretty, I love all the colors and the big windows. The shower was good with strong water and consistent hot water. Bed was comfortable. There is even a heated floor feature where the sink is. The free mini bar was great and wish all hotels did this. Nothing fancy, a couple of drinks: fizzy softdrink, water, beer, some chocolates and nut snacks in it but you can ask reception to top up whatever you like out of all those. There is a small gym which we did not use and an outdoor sauna on one of the balconies which we did use. You can ask reception for a robe, slippers and extra towel to use the sauna. Great location, too. We walked everywhere during our stay.
