This hotel was really the best choice for visiting Copenaghen, they were actually under renovation but they told us very on time and they did their best to make us feel comfortable and replace all the services missing. The staff was really nice and helpful. The hotel was in the best position for visiting everything, 8 minutes walking from two metro stations and right behind the royal park and rosenborg castle!

If I really have to find something to say the bed was really uncomfortable ma I think that we are just used to different types of beds, for the rest everything was perfect and I really recommend it!!

The hotel is in a great location and has good value for the price. The staff is friendly and the room is newly renovated. In fact, renovations were ongoing during my stay (17 days). The hotel and room are very clean and tastefully furnished, albeit rather plain and monochromatic. The beds are comfortable. However, I am a solo, senior traveller, and had asked for a double bed. Instead, I got two singles, pushed together, with two separate mattress toppers and two single duvets. So I essentially had to sleep in one of two small single beds for 17 nights! Not ideal! The bathroom is nicely done with the latest gold coloured fixtures. The only comments there are that the sink is very small and there is very little shelf room for toiletries, creams, makeup, or a hairdryer. And I noticed no safety electrical outlet near the sink. I travel a lot throughout Europe, so these observations are important to me. Lastly, the floor tiles are in fact wall tiles, used on the floor, and get quite slippery when wet, especially in the shower. That's a hazard for seniors. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, based on cleanliness, location and price. Although it's right in the centre of Copenhagen, it's on a very quiet street. It's excellent value for the money!

The bed. I had asked for a double and got 2 singles.

So firstly, the staff at reception spoke perfect English and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious and i found the mattresses incredibly comfy. I had better nights sleep here than i often do at home! The bathroom was large too and the hot water was instant and in good supply. They let us use the luggage room for the whole day after we'd checked out and our flight was 10pm so that saved us carrying our luggage around the city all day.

The only thing i found was that the room, although it was completely clean, it looked liked the cleaner had forgotten to hoover/vacuum the floor. It wasn't dirty, just some crumbs and small particles on the floor. But realistically, it didn't affect our stay so still a thumbs up.

Room was very affordable and gave me and my two young boys exactly what we wanted for our two night stay. Hotel staff was excellent and responded quickly. The location for the cost was amazing. Although: Must add that there were quirks, like TV not working, which was not a problem + the hotel is about to undergo renovation. So everything was a bit worn - but again, for the price we paid, and the fun that we had, it was excellent and staff very helpful.

Breakfast was pants - at best lukewarm, when one would expect hot. However, we could have made other choices locally, but choose to have it on the second morning too. Breakfast was charged extra. I decided not to challenge it as we were very happy with the room and location + when we wanted to eat our own brought in evening meal. Staff went out of their way to get us plates and cutlery.

Everything. The location is perfect. The hotel is really cosy, especially the downstairs area. They provide free coffee and tea at all times. Even had a wine night each night where we could have a free glass of wine between 5-7pm. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Use of umbrellas was a nice touch (we really needed them when we were there!!) Also a big luggage room to store bags on arrival / departure days. Room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfy. Iron, safe, extra pillows & towels. Everything you need for a lovely stay. Couldn’t fault it.

Our location, the room setup, the cozy-ness of the hotel and history, bicycle rental was more than reasonable when compared to the share programs. Not sure why many people gave a negative review on the bed. It was perfectly fine and not just a mattress topper, but also a fully coil mattress design for the lower section which is common in Europe countries and unlike North America and other countries that use a mattress and a hard base which can be very uncomfortable!!

The elevator was very small (smallest in the world I have seen!) but goes with the history of the building. The wifi stopped working for a bit, but the host managed to reboot the router and it worked again

The room was very clean and most comfortable. The location of the hotel was selected as it appeared on the map as being central to the various places I intended to walk to, i.e. The Little Mermaid, Tivoli Garden and the Museum of Danish Resistance. The location was in fact very central and thus easy to walk from there to places mentioned with in 30-40 minutes. The hotel was on a quiet street and that makes sleeping very uninterrupted. Mind you Copenhagen is overall a quiet city but the hotel was exceptionally quiet. Breakfast was most delightful with the variety of items offered. Very healthy and very tasty. Overall the staff was friendly, professional and helpful in all respects. Coincidently, the weather was comfortable in being cool and thus made walking comfortable. Finally, the hotel was a great place to start the day and equally great to have an enjoyable rest at the end of the day.

One item, not the fault of the hotel, was the complexity of the road pattern in the down town and thus older part of the city. The city map offered by the hotel was good for general planning, it was of little use to navigate to myriad of narrow streets with accuracy. The city doesn't put street signs on every corner and thus without a very detailed map, walkers could get easily lost. I recommend that the hotel have a copy available for sale of "Copenhagen City Map" by Lonely Planet, lonelyplanet.com As an inveterate walker, it was invaluable.

Comfortable bed, great sized bathroom. Clean, fabulous location close to Rosenborg Castle and gardens. Good breakfast. Very friendly helpful staff. Loved the 24/7 tea and coffee, and the 5-7pm happy hour.

Our room was next to stairs, so when being used, (rarely most people used the lift). There was a bit of noise. .

Very nice hotel, albeit basic, but answered all our requirements. Very clean and stuff is supporting. Free tea/coffee in the lobby (and even a complimentary glass of wine at 5pm - unusual in our day and age of cutting costs everywhere). Very good location, nice and reasonably priced breakfast (and a great craft coffee/breakfast place across the street). Bike rental shop at the corner of the street.

The smallest rooms are really small, so take the bigger one if you can. Also there is only one elevator, so we asked for rooms on lower floors and used the elevator only to get our luggage to and from the room. Elevator is ok though.

The young man, Fra, tried to replace the three bulbs with no success. He mentioned the lamps would be fixed the next day, which did not happen during the three nights I stayed there.
