The hotel itself is in a great location - walking distance from the airport (there is a shuttle available as well if you don't want to walk). The welcome drink was delicious & we found every staff member from the security officers to the front desk to the restaurant staff to be super friendly & helpful. The rooms were clean & the beds were comfortable. You cannot hear the noise from the airport. We ate dinner in the restaurant & the drinks/food were delicious. We also had breakfast included within our stay & the breakfast buffet was excellent. There were so many choices from pastries to Ecuadorian food to fruit to juice & had coffee/tea service. We had an early flight and couldn't stay long but was not expecting such a full on display of delicious things. I especially enjoyed the encebollado & the banana cake. The water features were a nice touch to the lobby. We did not use the gym or pool as we were staying overnight here on our way back from the galapagos but those also looked very nice. We slept very well before our international flight. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Guayaquil on a layover from the airport. Would stay here again if we pass through the city.

There is shampoo & shower gel located in the bathroom. Would've also appreciated conditioner available.

Excellent value for money, especially compared to US hotels. I booked the free shuttle and a pleasant driver was waiting for me and a second group. Easy check in. Tile floors in the shower/bedroom (I find hotel carpets scary), super clean bedding, well-stocked bathroom with lots of hot water and good pressure. Nice bathrobe supplied and similar touches made this a good deal in my book. Easy walk to the airport if you don't have a large bag but the shuttle was very professional.

OK, so the ONLY problem I found with this hotel is the restaurant. The menu looked amazing. But the kitchen cannot deliver. Maybe I ate on a bad night. Everything else in the hotel was unexpectedly superior, so I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and stay there again. I ate dinner and much of it was inedible. Since I had an early flight I skipped breakfast.

The room was well above average with slippers and a robe on the bed, tile on the floor, high water pressure, a nice amenity kit with toothpaste, shave kit etc. Sheets were a good quality and the AC was responsive. The floors are tile, which is nice. I booked a free shuttle, and the driver was waiting with a clearly printed sign even though my flight was 2 hours late. Looking at a map, it may appear that it is an easy walk to the hotel. While it is not very far (~500m) It would be a challenge with bags. Much better to take their free shuttle. I highly recommend this place!

The ONLY problem was the restaurant, which is best avoided. Their menu is ambitious, reasonably priced, and tempting, but the kitchen cannot execute.

The location is absolutely perfect for a stopover, walkable from the airport although there is even a free airport shuttle

The staff was very unprofessional, they didn’t ask us for a payment. I thought it would go directly via booking.com. Then when we got back to the hotel they blocked our room card since the payment was not complete.. after we payed we got a new room card. When we left the hotel they messaged us on WhatsApp three times if we had taken all the towels from the room since they could not find them in the room. We said a couple of times that we did not take any towels, but they kept repeating the question. Never had this before

We needed to stay overnight between flights and I was very nervous given the city's reputation. The hotel is by far your safest option for short term stays, it is 2-300 meters from the terminal, you can easily walk it if you don't have luggage, the hotel entrance is just by the security checkpoint, so all safe. We took the complimentary hotel shuttle, had someone waiting for us in the terminal. They have a dedicated entrance/exit in the airport parking so the transfer takes 2 minutes. Swimming pool was nice and you have a nice view of planes coming in to land. Room was clean and with all amenities you would expect.

Breakfast diversity could be improved, especially when it comes to vegetables and fruit.

Great location within walking distance to the airport. Rooms were what I would expect of this chain hotel. They were spacious and clean. The beds were particularly comfortable. The check-in process was quick which was great since we arrived late at night and just wanted to sleep for a few hours before our next flight. The breakfast buffet included in our rate was terrific. It has plenty of options and tasted great.

We had a little miscommunication with the hotel about its shuttle. We thought the shuttle would be there to pick us up on our arrival but it wasn't. It was no big deal because it took us only around three minutes to walk to the hotel.

Chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport and safety, and it exceeded expectations. The hotel shuttle was waiting with a sign upon our arrival and whisked us to the hotel in under a minute. They have a private entry directly from the hotel property to the airport, making it incredibly convenient and secure. We're so glad we didn't cancel our Galapagos trip due to crime concerns. This modern hotel, with its helpful staff and nice restaurant/bar, left us wanting for nothing. It was a great value, too! For anyone worried about safety in Guayaquil or just looking for a comfortable and convenient stay before or after a flight, I highly recommend this Holiday Inn. It's a perfect solution for peace of mind and a restful night's sleep.

The staff works hard to accommodate all guest needs. The room was very clean and comfortable. They stored our luggage on the Mai. Floor to facilitate our predawn departure. And the shuttle driver was most helpful with our luggage. Additionally our early dinner was tasty, the waiter’s recommendation for a local wine was spot-on, and our every request was graciously fulfilled.

Hard to find anything not to like about this convenient and comfortable hotel.

I loved this hotel. The bed was so comfortable I did not want to leave it! The room service was quickly served and delicious. The bathroom was well equipped and there was coffee in the room. The staff went out of their way to assist us with everything we needed. The room was spotless and the pool was nice and warm.

The pool tiles needed to be cleaned. There need to be additional lounge chairs for guests at the pool.

The shuttle driver was waiting inside the front door for me, and I was quite relieved at that. I'd tried contacting the hotel through Booking.com and via email to get more info about the shuttle and how to locate it, but there was no reply. The room was large and comfortable, towels in the bathroom quite nice and fluffy, wonderful water pressure in the large shower. All the staff were great, very professional.

Not so much "didn't like" but rather not up to expectations. In-room coffee service: Two bottles of water, two packs of ground coffee, two Splendas, two sugars, two cups, two stirrers, but only one mint tea, and one pack of powdered coffee creamer that was so old the powder had turned to a hard, plastic-like paste. I did take that down to the desk in the morning and encouraged them to check the expiration date on their stock. I feel the simple breakfast of fruit, bread, juice, and coffee is rather overpriced at $12, but it was very tasty, and the dining room is nice.
