The front desk is staffed 24/7. I arrived about 1:00 a.m., and was afforded a pleasant wait until the agent came back. There are several telephone numbers posted to call for service, but I only have data on my phone. The front desk staff is polite, courteous and efficient. This is a hotel that has obviously been a busy and vaunted higher class hotel in its past The hallway furnishings are pleasant, and on the 7th floor where my room was located is also the closed restaurant, and another sitting area with art and couches and chairs and open windows. Guests are quiet, reserved and polite. Like humans, everything has its peak and it's decline. The rooms are clean, the a/c works, hot water and daily room service. It is a basic accommodation done with a still respectful staff that carry themselves with class, but not arrogance or entitlement. Come and go as you wish. If you need assistance, just ask. 1 block to the Malecon, short walks (20 min or less) to museums, the gondola across the river, to major bus routes get to country-wide busses to explore other parts of Ecuador. If you are a night life person, it appears this area pretty much is closed up tight by 7pm, except a few restaurants. So if night life is what you seek, this is not a good location. This hotel is clean, basic, safe, and reputable.

It is clean, not expensive and the shower is good too, with warm water to shower. That is uncommon in Guayaquil. Staff is friendly. If you're staying for some days in Guayaquil, I would recommend this hotel. The location is great too, close to the museo municipal de Guayaquil, Malecon, cathedral and parque de las iguanas.

I couldn't see outside, because the small windows are directly facing a wall and are only for ventilation.

I am not sure why the ratings are so bad because I had a pleasant stay. Ivan at the reception was very helpful and nice, he helped me find a room to check in early because I had a problem with one of my feet. The room I had was on the 7th floor, hot water in the shower was working, had fresh towels, TV and Aircon. The hotel is also very good located, around the middle of the Malecón and 3 minutes away from the Museum of Guayaquil. Thank you very much, I'll come back!

Reserved a small single bedroom and ended up with a large room with three beds at no extra cost. This was idiosyncratic, but worked to my advantage. Staff was very friendly and capable.

Hot water, problem on one occasion, but otherwise good showering.

Super close to malecón / good price - they let us do early check in and late check out for an acceptable amount of money

Very spacious and clean rooms, the spa was a great addition! Hot water and comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, one block from Malecon 2000. Walking distance to all tourist attractions and entertainment. Friendly stuff and nice size rooms.
