The location is perfect to see the major places in Guayaquil. On the other side of the park in front of the hotel, one can take a tour bus that takes you around the main sites. Also the boardwalk is only two blocks away for a nice long walk. The included buffet breakfast is excellent with omelettes that are made individually, fresh fruits and many other delicious things. All personnel is very helpful. The room was very big and comfortable and so were the beds. Also, a very good restaurant (La Pata Gorda) is located only a block away. Very good value!

Weak shower water pressure, but one can live with that!! Otherwise great stay.

Very nice people,very comfortable beds, great location. All the people in service are very nice and working very hard. The breakfast was delicious and many choices.

The safe box did not work. The first night room was having issues with shower water leaking to the whole bathroom floor, and the air conditioner was very loud. After that they changed room for us. Then we felt comfortable for the rest of stay. Even though the new room still having safe box problem but we are ok as we felt the hotel is very safe. If they had prepared better before customer coming,there would have been no issue at all. Hope they can improve.

The staff is the best one I've ever met. They helped me with all the issues I got. They sent me to a better room. They made my key card work, they were always polite. I loved them! The food at La Fundadora is remarkable. I had Tigrillo for breakfast, really good. They have a lot of variety, from guatita to fish Ceviche. Totally reccomend

The first room I stayed was too little and not great at all. It was not worth it. The staff somehow realized that and sent me to another one. The only issue I found with the new one is that everyone could see/hear/smell everything happening inside the bathroom as there were some space in a glass wall. I was alone this time but it would have been a very upsetting thing if I was with someone else. I never got hot water in the shower. Some people will be annoyed by that. Another thing I found out is the chairs used for the conference rooms are the most uncomfortable ones I've ever felt. It was a 3 hour ceremony nightmare. They don't have a bartender at the bar on weekend. That's a huge mistake. They're losing money and clients for that. Other than that everything was okay.

Excellent stay for our first night in Ecuador! We had previously arranged a shuttle with the hotel and they met us with a sign at the airport. We had never been to Ecuador before, so this was a comfort. It was late and we were lucky that room service went late so we didn't go hungry! Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food to pick from and amazing coffee! The staff was very kind and welcoming. The reason I booked this hotel was its proximity to the "Iguana Park" overlooked by the beautiful cathedral. It is just across the street. The park was closed late at night when we arrived, but we were able to stroll around in the morning (had the place to ourselves!) before our flight to Galapagos. The iguanas were not teeming around us like in some of the videos because they mostly come down from the trees in the afternoon, but we enjoyed seeing them in the trees and there were a dozen or so on the ground. Very cool! The best part about this location was the view from our upper-floor windows overlooking the park. The cathedral was right there and there were huge land iguanas at the tops of the trees and we looked down on them - couldn't believe how high up in the trees they climbed. You can see them with the naked eye, but bring binoculars if you want a better view of the tree-top lizards. For our return trip through Guayaquil, we stayed at a different hotel (Wyndham) right next to the Malecon restaurants and Santa Ana Hill so we could climb the stairs to the lighthouse. I highly recommend staying at Unipark by Oro Verde for the Iguana Park/Cathedral proximity and friendly service.

I gave the hotel a 9 instead of a 10 only because the surrounding neighborhood did not seem 100% safe. Please note that we felt perfectly safe staying in the hotel, using arranged transportation from the hotel and visiting the Iguana Park/Cathedral during the day. We did not wander around beyond that. Perfect for our quick stay-over before our Galapagos flight.

Location was lovely as was the room. Breakfast was exceptional and offered a variety of foods. The sauna was nice-- it is a dry sauna. The co-working space was BEAUTIFUL and the view of the park was lovely.

The spa was mild. The mall the hotel was in made it a bit chaotic and decentralized to navigate, but the staff was extremely helpful. The wifi in the co-working space was not good. I used data to take my meetings.

Good facilities with a gym and sauna. Conveniently located, opposite to a park. The rooms are big with very comfortable beds. The restaurant serves very good dinner and breakfast. We did not try their lunch.

Hotel shuttle did not pick us up from the airport as agreed. I suggest to reconfirm with the hotel again shortly before the trip to make sure. I should have done so. Our rooms are located on the 11th floor. The elevators only go to the 10th floor. We have to climb up 2 flights of stairs to reach the 11th floor.

Staff did what they could to resolve our issues. They were patient, helpful and respectful at all times

We had to ask 3 times to get the coffee maker in our room as perour booking. We had to move rooms due to a alleged problem with our original very nice room, the second room although it was a suite was not as nice.

I had booked a room for 1 night via Booking.com - but decided that wasn't long enough and asked at the reception desk if I could extend that stay to an extra night. I think they had to juggle available rooms - but were able to allocate a room for 2 nights instead of 1. So I'm very grateful to the staff for doing that. The room didn't have a very good view, but the room itself was fine. Breakfast was self service (though eggs were cooked to request) - and there was plenty of choice; fresh fruit, pastries, breads, cereals; juices; yoghurts; tea/coffee; hot food area. The location was an easy walk to the secure riverside walkway.

Conveniently located. Perfect for our purpose in Guayaquil. Good air conditioning. Small fridge in room. Staff was very friendly.

Had dinner in the bar. Our server was fantastic! We ordered a pizza and it was barely warm and looked like a frozen pizza however the encebollado was amazing.

Great hotel to stay at, safe and centrally located. Friendly staff, nice clean room with a good size bathroom and all the amenities. The food is delicious and breakfast is really good. The restaurant staff is very good and helpful. Will return soon and I highly recommend it.
