great location, metro station just 100 m downhill. Excellent Pizza restaurnt 50 M away, ideal for that first night when you just want something easy. Staff are very helpful, sorted out hop on bus for us, gave us instructions on where to find the bus, booked taxi etc. Room with safe on ground floor, very comfortable with a stunning fountain in reception.
All great for us but if you do have poor mobility issues there are about 12 -15 steps to get to the front door.

The location was perfect as the metro is around the corner which will take you to different areas around the historic center. There was also a supermarket and restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager went above and beyond when our Uber driver canceled our ride, he himself took us to our destination. I definitely recommend staying here, the facilities were clean and the breakfast was good.

Tips to get the most of this hotel: Don’t let them put you in one of the rooms close to the office. As people come in and out it will sound like it’s in your room and you won’t be able to sleep. Bring cash because the price was 20% higher if I wanted to pay with card Overall, a cosy hotel that is an easy walk to the historic center. Staff were nice. Breakfast was good.

The staff were excellent - they were friendly and provided lots of information about the area, the city, and attractions. They also provided good, detailed information about available tours. The room itself was great - big bed, plenty of space, and a sizeable bathroom. The breakfast was also good and the staff were helpful, providing extra food for me to take back to the room for my partner All great, especially considering the fantastic price!
The shower was difficult - it took a while to warm up properly. The location was good, but it could be slightly better as it wasn't close to anything. It is close to a Metro station, which worked well for us. But for some who don't like public transport, you might want something closer to downtown.

We love the location and the feel of the genuine Ecuadorian independent hotel. The staff was very friendly. They didn't speak much english, but we used Google translate and it all worked out. This was an incredible value and I would stay here again.
I did not like that the breakfast didn't start until 8:00. A lot of our day trips started earlier than that and they were not willing to get coffee to us before then. If I could change one thing it would be either having a coffee maker in the hotel or to have the breakfast start earlier for busy tourists.

We had 5 people in 1 room; two parents and 3 teens. The hotel seems new or recently remodeled. Every time we were around the facility someone was cleaning or polishing. VERY clean! The beds were very comfortable. We had good WiFi, immediate hot water in the shower. They gave us a towel, little soap and shampoo for every guest - not always typical in Ecuador. Breakfast was included with our room and it was delicious. EXCELLENT service by all staff, including the kitchen. The location cannot be beat. The hotel is in front of a Metro station and trolley stop. We parked our car in the hotel's secure lot and took public transportation everywhere. There's a delicious pizza place on this little street, if you can overlook the decor inside.
The size of the room was small, but there were 3 beds squeezed in there. There's a hostal behind this hotel that had a loud party going on until late at night. But hey, it was carnaval.

Everything was good. We did not know there would be 36 steps to climb up to get to the hotel. The breakfast room is at the very top which is a long climb in the morning. The hotel should install an elevator, if possible, or mention the climb in their ads.
The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor in the room which we were given when we came back from our travels. The staff wanted to change our room but it was too much trouble to pack up and move since we were leaving the next day, anyway.

The hotel has an excellent location. Restaurants, supermarket, park and the old town can all be reached on foot in a short time. The room is a dream - very spacious. The bathroom including the shower is also very large. Super comfy bed, nice couch and even a small fireplace. From the balcony you have a beautiful view. All in all, nothing was missing. The staff is very friendly and tries to help with words and deeds despite language barriers. We could even leave some of our luggage there for a week for a small fee. If we travel to Quito again, we will gladly stay at Hotel David again. Thanks for the nice days!

Spacious room with nice furniture, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable bed. The breakfast was nice. The room felt updated. The staff cared about the guests and did everything they could to help out.
Parking garage alarm across street went off all night long and was very loud and obnoxious. Hotel can't control this but they should ask that building to disable it. Also, one night they unloaded a large box truck all night long with noisy carts and people. It went on from like 10PM to 2 AM. It made it impossible to sleep. The hotel can't totally control this but it was extremely loud and annoying. The hotel's lights on the hotel outside also illuminated our room very bright and the shades couldn't block it.
